What a wonderful resource for all of us Ina-Ho lovers out here! One of my favorite look-a-likes is Birmingham Pen Co Stormwater Runoff. I’m screenshotting the final dried swatches for reference later. 😹 Thank you so much for sharing! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
I love Ina-ho ink. I love Ferris wheel goose poupon and trouble makers TUSLOB BUWA is a close color to goose poupon. I will have to check out these too.
You answered my prayers on this one. I was about to sit down to a mix session for my own dupe mixture. I think this sealed my need for Goose Poupon for sure.
Thanks! I also fell in love with Ina-Ho after seeing Abbey Sy's video! I immediately put in an order after finding out it was going to be discontinued.
I LOVED this tour through your Ina Ho dupes. I’ve always thought Robert Oster Gold Antiqua is a non-shimmer dupe for FWP Queen and Castle, so it might be of interest to others-like me-who missed out on the Ina Ho.
Okay, you are the second person mentioning Rose Gold Antiqua so it must be the next ink for me to try. I'm preferring non-shimmer inks so I'll give it a try...
You may also give a try to Diamine Wagner, similar to FW goose poup. I love it, and was looking for something similar in case I couldn’t find it again. Thanks for the video, now I know more options to find.
Ina Ho is the one that got away! 😂 I didn’t like it a ton when I heard that it was going to be discontinued and shortly after it was I wanted it. Been searching for a dupe since. Going to try KWZ Old Gold and if not may try FWP Goose Poupon.
so, I do a lot of experimentation and mixing of inks and I have been mixing Rohrer and Klingner Alt Goldrun with Noodlers Golden Brown for some lovely lovely colors. Using different proportions makes it either more green or more gold..So, because I am an artist, I do not follow rules.. it works and turns our beautifully and I have fun painting with these inks, not just writing. I love this combination.
Really great video! I’ve been looking for a dupe for ina-ho and, ironically enough, I just inked FWP Queen and Castle in my Twsbi Diamond 580 RG II and I love it!
@@lianelikes the Ferris wheel press shimmer inks work pretty well for me in my Rose Gold Twsbi. My other Twsbi is inked with a wearingeul shimmer ink and that one’s pretty rough. Ferris wheel press inks are my favorite. I love the wearingeul ink, too, once I unclog it from my pen! 😆🤣
Inkebara Deer Brown comes to mind, maybe Backpack Berlin? Wearingeul Scarecrow, Ink Institute Wenhu Line, Lennon Tool Bar Sesame Oil, Franklin Christoph Honeycomb?
@@lianelikes …do the same for gray inks, please? My preference runs towards high shading va sheen or shimmer inks, but go ahead and collect whatever gray inks interest you.
Ohhh those are pretty. Not quite what you are asking, but have you seen Robert Oster's Mudpack Set? It seems like they might be the sorts of colors that you find appealing. They shade and there's a gray green, a sandy brown, and a gold in the mix. I do not understand Pilot discontinuing TWO of their brown inks recently.
Every one of these speaks to my heart!! But that Ina-Ho- wow. I just love it. so so so sad. :( I do really love Sailor Studio 280...I love the pink sheen in there. If Pilot discontinues ink their focus should be on creating something to fill that void. what the heck Pilot!! Get your S*^& together!
Sailor minori ink, which was part of the 5th anniversary Shikiori special pen + ink combo (not sure if the ink is new, or if it's sold separately) looks very much like ina-ho! That particular pen and ink is inspired by a grain of rice, so makes sense.
That would've been a great ink to swatch too, with the grain reference!

I'm still looking for an ink that is similar to Ina-ho. Robert Oster's Muddy Bucket comes close, and maybe one of the others from the same series of Muddy inks.
@@lianelikes right as I decided to explore inks ina ho was discontinued… I feel like I missed out! I might get samples of the two FWP inks and maybe the Kobe and Sailor Ink Studio. Who am I kidding, they were all great!
Lovely recommendations, thank you! They're all inks I haven't tried...

@@lianelikes I'm using Muddy Bucket at the moment, it seemed to be the right mix of green and beige. I'd definitely recommend checking their muddy line.
I really like FWP Goose Poupon but it is so dry! It makes my nibs feel scratchy. I wonder if the recommended RO are also so dry. I assume Ina-Ho is well lubricated?
Ooo that birmingham barley is so pretty! It's the only one that didn't write dark brown to me xD, which I like, but does it write even lighter than what is seen on the screen? Since lighting does have an effect on how we perceive it through the camera, but I love what I see, might have to try that ink for myself.
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your nib! This is the Kakimori glass nib pen? I only submerge my nib once and it's loaded with enough ink to write with.
Hi David, unfortunately ina-ho was discontinued in 2022. I created this video to help others find very similar ink options, so I'm sorry to tell you that ina-ho is no longer available on retailer shelves!

I think I fell in love with every ink that Abbey featured, lol!

Ina-ho is my absolute favorite. Glad to see some other similar inks for when I completely run out! Love your swatches - so cool!!
Thank you Erick!
Sailor ink studio 280 is on of my favs, I’ve had it inked up in a pen since December.
280 is such a lovely color!
Ina Ho is the one that got away! 😂 I didn’t like it a ton when I heard that it was going to be discontinued and shortly after it was I wanted it. Been searching for a dupe since. Going to try KWZ Old Gold and if not may try FWP Goose Poupon.
Oh, I haven't tried Old Gold, and looking at swatches online, it looks very similar!
Nearest I found is Colorverse No. 67 Dust Storm.

Oh wow, I can only imagine how glorious this ink combination would be, I am intrigued!!!
❤️👍
Very helpful video. I never got a bottle of Ina-ho before it was discontinued and now I wish I had!
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
Same thing here I I purchased a couple of sample bottles from eBay (still available). Closest ink to it is Colorverse No. 67 Dust Storm.
@@kennethpillman4634 another ink for me to try!
Aww thanks so much for the mention 💛
Of course! I'm always inspired by your videos!
Love all of these. Really want to try the Sailor and Goose Poupon
I know, they are so gorgeous, I might have to do a second round of ina-ho dupes...you really must try sailor 280...
I'm torn with Goose Poupon... I like the colour but not the name 😅
@ Lol, I know!
I will go KWZ Old Gold once I run out of Ina-Ho.
Anyway, thank you!
Really great video! I’ve been looking for a dupe for ina-ho and, ironically enough, I just inked FWP Queen and Castle in my Twsbi Diamond 580 RG II and I love it!
What a coincidence! How is the shimmer doing in the 580? No clogging, I'm guessing?

If only shimmer inks were 100% fuss-free! They are glorious when they work well with the pen...
I don't think the Sailor one is an exact match, but it is a beautiful color on its own! I may get it but not as a dupe to Ina-Ho
Inkebara Deer Brown comes to mind, maybe Backpack Berlin? Wearingeul Scarecrow, Ink Institute Wenhu Line, Lennon Tool Bar Sesame Oil, Franklin Christoph Honeycomb?

@@lianelikes …do the same for gray inks, please? My preference runs towards high shading va sheen or shimmer inks, but go ahead and collect whatever gray inks interest you.
I can recommend KWZ Green Gold, which is a bit darker Ina Ho, but also has that complex interplay between greens, browns and golds.
I haven’t tried many KWZ inks, I’ll definitely have to try this ink out!
This is an amazing video!!! It is well appreciated
I appreciate your feedback, thank you!
I love this style video! That ink is such an unusual color. Not one I'm searching for but still a very interesting watch. :)
Thanks, Amy!

Lovely, thank you! I’ll give those a try
Queen and castle will be on my list to sample! Have you ever tried Colorverse Brane?
I haven't tried Brane, I think it's a shimmer ink? It looks like a lovely olive-y green color!
@@lianelikes Yes! It's so cool! An olive green shading ink with green shimmer!

In my experience, RO inks have been wet and well behaved and I believe Iroshizuku inks as a whole are well lubricated and reliable!

I had it inked in a very juicy Jinhao x159 and it wrote beautifully, wasn't too light, I recommend Barley in a wet writer, definitely!
I wonder if Noodlers El Lawrence would be similar?
I haven't heard of that ink, googling it now, it looks like it's more like a green-black! I can see it being very similar to Citrus Black, though!
Take a look at Colorverse No. 67 Dust Storm, its the to Ina-ho that I’ve found.
How are you getting so much ink on the dip pen?? I bought it and it writes totally dry for me. Maybe I'm not leavin it in the ink long enough?
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your nib! This is the Kakimori glass nib pen? I only submerge my nib once and it's loaded with enough ink to write with.
Try Noodler’s Rome Burning or Robert Oster Khaki for closer matches to Ina-Ho
I will definitely have to try those inks, thanks!
Maybe Robert Oster Khakhi?
Oh, that sounds like a lovely dupe!
My closest ink is actually Noodler's Rome Burning, before the interesting water effects of course!
Oh, now that is an ink I have to try!
