in the beginning, the bass line is more traditional than usual - even considering the synthy tone - for the channel, but in the third minute of the song the bass playing gets wild. Congratulations to juliaplaysgroove for another outstanding post.

Yeah he really allows himself to grow with the tune and not dump too much in the beginning and allows you to enjoy the other aspects of the song which is quite ingenious when you consider it. The anticipation must’ve been wild. It would’ve been hard for me I was playing this not to go full on thumpy. Such a groove.

This bass line was originally played by Anthony Jackson, and then later doubled with synth bass. Very nice work picking up Anthony's unique phrasing. Would love to see your cover of Chaka's "Clouds", which is an AJ tour de force.

Ah Jules! Looks like someone has been doing some crate diggin' to access this gorgeous piece of old school R&B funk! Love that your ear is virtually uninhibited and you have a vast appeal. Anthony Jackson killed it when he laid the track and then they doubled it with a synth bass! You next levelled it! Simply put you slaaayyyed this old school , highly underrated R&B classic gem! Killed it! buried it! Nailed the coffin at about 3mins in. Looking forward to the inevitable day when we're listening to you on the world-music sound stage. DAMN!!!

Some good old Chaka on her trusty little "Snow White" of all things, WOO-HOO 😁💓👍!!! Love that she even let her hair down on this one, man her playing never ceases to impress me. So much technique and feeling all wrapped into one explosive package 🎁, keep testing your limits Ms. 'PYT' (Michael Jackson reference if she's wondering where it's from, hopefully a bass cover of that one is somewhere down the line for her)...
