I learned German for 10 years at school. I love German language, culture and music. Sadly, nowadays I understand more than I can actually say 😂 This song made me remember another one about war, "Mama Ana Ahabak" by Christina Stürmer. Would you react to "Geboren um zu leben" or "So wie du warst" by Unheilig? I love those songs so much. Greetings from Poland!
Yes, Rosalie. These above mentioned Songs are also very deep. Give "Mama Ana Ahabak" a try, which is kinda the same setting as this song, but - for me - way more touching. It hits me way harder.

And you are absolutely right about war. It's never that easy good vs bad, and both sides always suffer.

Silbermond ist eine der größten deutschen Bands und das schon seit über 2 Jahrzehnten. Kommen bei mir gleich nach Rammstein. Ihre teilweise extremen / sehr nachdenklichen Lyrics in Kombination mit ihrer engelsgleichen Stimme sind einfach nur gewaltig. Und wenn du dann realisierst, dass Steffi selbst auf Grund des Songs, ein emotionales Wrack ist, das versucht ihre eigenen Tränen zu unterdrücken, um die Performence zu "überleben", kannst du nicht anders, als selbst zu heulen. Man hört schon bei der Songankündigung, wie emotional sie war.
Hi Rosalie eine schöne Reaction auf einen wunderschönen Song. Ich glaube man braucht nicht viel darüber sagen weil die Message klar ist. Deshalb einfach nur Danke für dein Video.

Silbermond ist auch eine meiner Lieblingsbands. Aber dieses Lied hat ich auch nicht auf dem Schirm.
Wie du schon sagst, es bricht einem das Herz. 🥺 gerade weil man weiß das es unnötig ist, das Kinder/Menschen leiden müssen. Aber Machtgier, Geld und Neid begleiten die Menschheit leider schon viel zu lang. 😒

My Favorite Silbermond song is "Kartehaus", it reminds me of an friend that i cant reach out to anymore, i think it was more of a partnership/breakup song, but interpreted it as i lost a friend. I break down crying every time i hear it. I also love "Bis zum Schluss" with Curse, i was going through a major breakup with the Woman i wanted to marry and grew old with. Another hard hitter but those are my most loved songs.

Ich weine während ich das schreibe. Es ist furchtbar, dass dieses Lied immer noch aktuell ist. Und für mich ist das Schlimmste, dass ich die Hoffnung aufgegeben habe, dass Lieder wie diese NICHT mehr notwendig und aktuell sind. Danke für dieses Video und danke für deine wahre Reaktion. Wenn ich eine Empfehlung geben möchte: Herbert Grönemeyer "Der Weg".

Wundervoller Song und wie du sagtest leider immer noch aktuell. Es hat mich auch direkt an einen Song von Christina Stürmer erinnert der eine sehr ähnliche Thematik der Song heißt „mama ana ahabak“

Wenn schon die Vorstellung von Kindern die Frieden nur träumen können aber nicht selber erleben (..!..) so unfassbar schmerzhaft ist, can you imagine the feelings of a child under war by itself?
