She is an amazing character yet however utterly underdeveloped by Tolkien as she could have done MORE and her true ending is unknown, yet it´s heavily implied she died SOMEHOW yet it couldn´t be seen on any writting in all - or well a bit yet so ambiguosly and anticlimathically VAGUE on her demise either by Huan or some sloppy nature of her unable to escape the destruction of Sauron fortess by Luthien´s power after rescuing Beren and defeating Sauron making him gone deeply humilliated into Southern Beleriand forests as a vampire himself and keep a lower-profile living way even totally apart from supporting back Morgoth as in deep fear for accounting his defeat on him. Thuringwethil´s fate doesn´t appear on the Sillmarillion itself, however it´s very likely on her demise by Luthien, Beren or Huan as she no longer reappears and Morgoth was totally unaware of Sauron´s defeat so Beren and Luthien could go disguised as Thuringwethil and Draugluin respectively to infiltrate into Morgoth´s fortess and being able to acheive the goal of retrieving a Silmarill of his crown there!! And as Beren disguise as Draugluin happened as the big original werewolf was already death - after a previous fight with Finrod which he also died at the same defending Beren with that - , there seems that Luthien choose Thuringwethil disguise as she was ALSO DEATH by then, and doesn´t make any sense that the Messenger of Sauron couldn´t have escaped before to alert Morgoth on Sauron´s defeat as she ought to have done as a Messenger between both, so... she was SOMEHOW DEATH THEN, however the death of her is so weak elaborated as if Tolkien didn´t liked to develop much about the demise of FEMALE ANTAGONISTS on his work, but NEVERTLESS he does nice on male ones , as if... he got some biased view of being unable to elaborate female villaiins and make them to have properly paid for their own deeds as much as male ones had happened as if he was totally against some cultural stereotypes which were classical and harsher with female antagonists, and well as he deemed females as more positive than males, somehow he wanted to avoid have them as villains and even less develop on their dooming fates unless ambiguously, henceforth that´s why Ungoliant, Shelob, Thuringwethil and Queen Beruthiel´s fates are so ambigously VAGUE and underdeveloped than male villains, a very biased and pro.feministic view, which saw oddily more negative trends on males than on females than instead keeping a properly even situation for both for good and for evil as well.
She also kinda was wasted for a proper quick yet awesome fight against Luthien where both girls on opposite moral sides could get into each other, and well having Luthien winning her either alone or by some Huan´s aid as she did with Sauron before, but anyways it was a WASTED opportunity for that. (I guess Tolkien deemed the girls confrontation as low-quality or vulgar issues no matter it could have been VERY COOL and a great setting of an evil female vs a good one ONCE in his mythology setting a point on how actually females could be getting both good and evil as males too, and that good is more worthy than evil anyways, but... he choosed to not compromise in all!!)

I am amazed at this response. Thank you very much. I really didn't think that this video would get very much interaction at all, it's just a little piece of old lore I really like and figured no one would know about or care about. You are awesome! I agree the entire character could have had more done, and perhaps with more time Tolkien may have. The whole area around Beren and Luthien seemed to have his eye. This is great.

@@OfficialWorldsExplored Beren and Luthien story alongside The Children of Hurin/Of Turin Turambar and a bit less the story of the Fall of Gondolin (and Tuor story) are the key-central main themes ever on the Silmarillion and of all his work besides the Fall of Numenor and the Rings of Power on later Ages, and the Ainulindale at the beggining of all. Still when were some leaking weak spots that could have worked better, certainly it´s worthy to point it and not to be the type of closed-minded cult-following-like on dogmatic-canon-views on Tolkien´s lore about pointing what could have be done BETTER indeed!!
