Nuts that with only 15 talent points you can find all these metas with the addition of runes. Level 40 is gonna be huge for theorycrafting

Its legit worse dps to incorporate any other ability, devestate is basically an autoattack every 1.5s since its the gcd
You can still queue HS if you're rage capped to make sure you're bouncing at 80 for CBR.

I think you could queue in Heroic Strike at 100 rage for even more dmg.

And people were worried warrior would fall behind other specs now that runes came along lmao. This is like the 4th meta combo for warrior that buries everything else alive.
I gotta ask though, is it worth spending all those points for deep wounds when it does 5% of your damage (Kelris). I feel 5 deflection, full crit, and full shield block would yield more rage so you can also HC strike in there. Im no theorycrafter though. This just seems like something that stuck from the DW deep wound builds.
Nothing else available at 25 will yield more than 5% damage for 3pts
Only works if you’re main ranking and can keep the rage up. This doesn’t work as off tank
I do it as OT all the time ,just start with 70 rage, pop rage pot and never stop pressing sunder = gg 99's

Does the require Talwar? I tried it using Grimclaw and was only pulling like 70dps. Granted, I wasn't starting fights at 100 range because my guild can't not hit the last add...
Ya the talwar has an unusually high weapon damage compared to any other 1h
I'd highly suggest getting talwar for it, but u could probably do okay with other weapons
It has 23 dps. Outlaw sabre is the second highest damage sword, with 18.9 dps. I'd go for that if I didnt have Talwar.
And this won't get nerfed, tanks doin 300 dps but we will probs see another hunt one soon

You're in defensive stance, spamming sunders doing 200+ dps... Yeah you will be tanking if you do this.

Man I had a god run in a pug last night with my war. I hit 400 dps on aku mai by the time it changed phases, ended with 300 dps. And no one logged it. RIP :( I guess I gotta start doing my own...

Would this build work if youre not the tank taking the hits? Like would rage stay up if youre dpsing with it?
You'd want to be the OT or MT when doing this, you just make sure to have a rage mob before each pull or it will take you way too long to catch up on rage even with a rage pot. There's a good trick if you really need you can pop your brutal chest +30 rage (swap back to main chest), then pop a rage pot and go in, but it's more ideal to have the rage mob, and start at 70ish rage so you can proc CbR right on pull.
I'm more worried about the insane agro this would pull so you're required to tank anyway
Our main tank does the same built, but throws revenge and taunt in the mix and I never pull threat, even if you did it wouldn't matter you def aren't going to die in BFD it's so easy you could probably tank everything as a mage@@coasterplanet9945

I think you are getting slightly griefed by homunculi from the priest. Applies -armor debuff that makes u unable to stack sunders for more devastate dmg.
Actually its better. Fight Club (war disc) found out that with homunculi your devastates do immediately the full sunder dmg. So skipping the initial 4 sunder less dmg part.

I never have rage as a prot warrior it felt worse to hold agro than a rogue tank
No offense but definitely a skill issue. If you're running consumed by rage and using it properly, you should absolutely never have rage issues.
@IgNoRaNcEbLoWs more it felt like people didn't let me get rage up to 80 before pulling off of me leaving me with 20 rage and a taunt cd. I'm just saying if your doing any pulls without rage it just feels bad right now rogue and def shaman tank have great snap threat
@@RatsoMan20 That's just stuff you have to learn to account for man. The first few trash pulls are for rage gen and if dps pull off you it is what it is. They don't take much damage anyways and even if they do, it's their fault. Your goal should be to use the first couple packs to rage up and then do your best to hold near 80 rage for as much of the rest of the raid as is possible. Rage potions are big too. As soon as you get to 80 rage, nobody is pulling threat off you.
@@RatsoMan20 Also, I don't know if you're in a guild or if you're a raid leader or not, but my guild uses the last mob before every boss as the designated "rage mob." It not only allows rage users to fill up, but it also allows mana users to drink/rebuff, and depending on your group's damage it lets combo point users start the fight with a big slice and dice or savage roar. Try that too.
Honestly I really hope this build doesn't get nerfed. There are way more tanks around when they do good damage.

Because you are only spamming sunder armor anyway, so why bother having another button to press, when you sacrifice 25% flat damage while you have bloodrage active. Some fights you get the 25% damage buff twice even.

@@chc2650 Almost all your rage is from auto damage and wind fury procs, plus parrying gives you hasted autos in classic

Warrior nerfs you must be new to classic. They’ll be busted all the to 60 and even more busted at max level
Warriors dont get nerfed blizzard doesnt know how to.
They can't really nerf them because how they are coded into the game. The way the class works makes it scale so insane with gear. Only way to make warriors worse is giving giga OP runes to literally everyone else, while giving warriors useless crap runes. And even then I'm not sure it will help, because they get so much AP and crit from gear, and just keeps scaling infinitely. They also benefit from literally every single worldbuff, while some other classes don't.
@@ShaddyzZz What do you mean, they are the one who coded warriors into the game lol. A good start would be rage normalization. after that, they can make so agi does not give AP anymore and STR only gives 1AP.

This spec is actually so fun to play as tank honestly I had so much fun in a raid today on trash I went warbringer rune the ability to charge in d stance is just so nice on trash don't need flag really on trash just tab sunder the adds kept a lot of agro the trash is a joke anyways but it's still fun to be trying to tank loads of mobs well I find it fun

Being useful and doing high damage is what I find fun being on disc having a laugh and being able to tank easily is fun to me sorry my version of playing the game is not up to your standards go gate keep somewhere else. Warriors are the undisputed best class in the game. Hopefully blizz nerfs hunters again. The audacity of hunters to almost be on warriors level for a single phase. Completely unacceptable.

Revenge does very little damage.
You can use raging blow with this as well. It usually outperforms flagellation if the fights are longer as they usually are in pug groups

You have to be in defensive stance with a shield equipped for devastate run to work.

I wonder how this would perform with a two-handed weapon considering the damage is based on weapon damage.
It would be fucking amazing to be able to do 95% weapon damage every gcd but unfortunately you cant because devastate requires a shield in your off hand :(

I figured they would just keep nerfing my pve hunter and pve priest, so I stopped playing.
Guildie asked me to tank his pug run. Ended baron at 240dps but healers didnt heal me before shell pop on turtle and let me die. Couldnt even finish akumai. Was awful
Yeah you're not really tanky with this spec. If your healers suck you will probably die.

crit chance vs crit damage, you wanna crit more
impale's modifier is additive so its effect on crit damage is actually about half of what the talent would make you think. the extra crit is definitely better.
