I appreciate this assessment. I received my Trailstar Maximus in Sept 20, 2022 and raced the Spartan Ultra in Dallas on Oct 22nd. Unfortunately, they did not survive the terrain after 50 kilometers / 31 miles and the sole anchor for my big toe broke off. There were a few bushes and some light thorns on the trail that shredded the straps of the sandal too. I’m a big fan of the Trailstars. I just wish they were durable enough to survive rougher terrains (thorns, rocky, and muddy). I’m still waiting to hear back from Shamma.

Can’t wait to get these. The construction seems perfect! Just waiting on a reply from the company and it will be order time!

How long did it take you to put 300 miles on these?

It generally takes me about a month to put 100 miles on a pair of sandals. I typically about 20-25 miles per week. I'd like to run more but I have a family and the business.

I'm super confused about what the difference between the alpha and omega is. The site shows the exact same pictures for both model

      Hey Stan,
Great question. The difference between the alpha and the omega is the stack height of the sole. The Alpha is 12mm and the Omega is 15mm. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
      Thanks,
      Josh

Hello Josh how you doing. I like to say you make some nice sandals man. I'm a huge sandal-man because my foot out-grow shoes , socks , & boots & that is all that I can get to fit on my feet. I am a chubby fat dude with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. Flip flops is the only footwear that will barely and i mean barely fit me because my toes are wider than the flip flop straps. I like these sandals cuz they don't have straps on the front like flip flops do. Don't get me wrong I love flip flops I grew up wearing them but with me having very fat wide toes & them being equally straight across it's difficult trying to get my wide toes to fit through the flip flop straps. I do have a question? I tried on a pair of Chaco sandals with the toe loop & I could not get my big toe to fit through the toe loop. Do your toe loop open up pretty wide for a fat wide toe to fit through? I had asked a lot of people what does the toes loop do but they could not tell me. I never thought that having chubby very fat wide toe that are equally straight across would cause so much problems. Thank you for sharing this video.

Trailstar Maximus LE with powerstraps followed by Warriors LE with powerstraps or Chargers Le with powerstraps.
      Hope that helps,
      Josh
