I am comparing the:
- Earth Runners Cadence Adventure Sandals
- Shamma Mountain Goats LE
- Luna Oso
- EARTH RUNNERS PROS/CONS:
Pros:
- Customizable straps.
- Canvas, non-slippery (when wet) insole.
- Aggressive tread
- Great customer service
Cons:
- Toe strap hurts: it pulls to the outside.
- On my wife's Earth Runner sandals: Not enough strap to adjust (she had them really loose because the toe strap hurt her toes also).

Tip: Even if your feet are used to "thong-type" sandals, the Earth Runners will hurt your toes, unless you wear for small periods of time. Also recommended to get the rigid strap wet so it's more soft.
Overall, each shoe has its pros/cons. I opted for the Lunas as my personal #1 choice. In VERY close second it's the Shamma. Luna just is stupidly simple--very few layers and add-ons--lending to them being lightweight. Comfortable, well-thought-out placement of soft webbing straps. The only regret with the Lunas is I wish I had gone with a more aggressive sole. The soles I got slip quite a bit when walking through moist jungle environments.

Luna winged Oso Flaco: you would love them. I have over 750 trail running miles on them and they are still like new and have an aggressive tread and are super thin and minimal feeling. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I also have the winged mono and they are cush and light and aweeessooommmeee.
Would it be possible to do hiking in the flaco?
I agree with you about the earth runners. The thong in the middle bothers my toe so much and I’ve been wearing them for about a month. It doesn’t matter if they’re tight or loose it still always pulls on that one toe. In my opinion poor design. I thought it might go away but I don’t see it going away. I think the Earth Runners use a special type of toe band outlined by some kind of light metal lining, connecting to a copper plug at the bottom. The purpose for that is to have the user receive the benefits of 'earthing' while outdoors.
PS: There is solid science behind the concept of earthing, for those who think it sounds a bit of new-age pseudoscience and sketchy

Earth Runners is inspired in Tarahumaras. and has a copper connection for grounding. the huaraches Tarahumaras are made this way. they are the greatest runners in the world. So. Thats it!
All of this assuming they fit. Earth runners charges a $10 fee to return unworn shoes. They’re also ridiculously overpriced. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

My first experience with sandals for running was EarthRunners and it wasn’t a good experience. They did feel nice but I always ended up with blisters from the straps. (And I did break them in a little at a time per their suggestion). I returned it and gave up but now Looking at your review I will try Luna. Thank you for this and I love Jesus too! 💕

#shamma mountain goats w ultra grip not leather and #luna winged oso flaco. I have run gravel roads and mountain trails with both. Luna's are best on rugged trail but anything else shamma. They are comfortable and have the best feel on my feet.
I bought the very same Luna's based on a previous video review you made about them, I've walked and hiked a lot in them and I don't regret my purchase, they are absolutely great and comfortable. Thank you!
never worn thong type sandals before, only done slip ons. Do thong style sandals actually stay on the foot, and they don't irritate/rub your toes?

I never us the extra strap on LUNA’s. I have ran many many miles in them. Hike in them. Never saw a need.
I purchased both Shamma and Earth Runner. I have to take Earth Runner off my feet only after 20 minutes. They are so painful!!

Wondering about earth runners, but I think the cadence type here aren’t available yet, but they have alpha lifestyle laces that are actually softer, but they prob sent you the heavy duty bc you are more active. Those are adventure laces I think. I will get the softer lifestyle laces. Thanks for the review.

The Earth Runner ones you got are the thickest ones they offer, so maybe that’s why it takes you longer to get used to them?
He is referring to the lace thickness/malleability. The foot bed seems to not effect how the lace pulls on his foot.
@@caseymoreno9192 they have thicker laces I think that’s what she was referring to. The adventure sandals have thickest laces from Earth runners

Just got earth runners and walking on that strap in the instep is so uncomfortable. Did you have that issue?

@@brianmcnary3960 no sadly. I sent them back for a refund. It was just too painful. Customer service suggested wetting the straps to soften to break in but once I did that Id lose the ability to obtain a refund. I didn’t want to risk it so I walk around the house for a few days all day during work hours and I just couldn’t do it. By the 4th day I was dreading putting them on.
What I noticed is that if you tighten them too much before you finally pull the strap across the foot, you’ll get extra tight pull on the toe area. Get some slack on the strap so you can run a finger or two under loosely when it’s on. Then when you tighten it it will be loose. The security will still be there as most of the support comes when tension is finally applied
@@indigo0086 the only area that really bothered me is stepping on the strap under my foot near the instep. I already sent them back and have decided not to try again for now but thank you for responding .

I just bought the Circadian sandals (the pair in the middle) and the right sandal is put together wrong by the company and is very uncomfortable. I hope they will resolve the problem for me because it hurts the right side of my foot, and it's expensive ($83. with shipping).
