Thank you for this review. I was as shocked as you were by the flour flying out, great comic relief! I bought my Kitchen Aid when my youngest child was one month old. I paid $150, on sale, with a small inheritance of $150. My 3 children, one boy 2 girls, all learned to cook with that Kitchen Aid. As they grew up, I gifted them with their own K.A. mixer. I've thought about downsizing to the smaller mixer but my original workhorse is still hail and hearty at 42 years old. My only advice is, be mindful of the color you choose, you may be living with it for a very long time! ☺

@@Kaivijs Congratulations! I love the Almond colored one, it wasn't available when I bought mine. I hope yours lasts as long as mine and you get to teach and bake memories with your children while they become comfortable "working" in the kitchen. Happy Day!

Omg!! I was so excited to see this video. I work at Kitchen Aid where theses are made! When you look on the box and it says Proudly made in Greenville Ohio, that’s where I’m at. I love that you have our mixers and you have several different sizes. So sometime come on down and schedule a factory tour and see where they are made.

I hope to do this, when the pandemic gets back under control. The last time I took a tour, was around 2008, where a married couple was working on limited edition mixers destined for the European market. I'm hoping they're still there. And if they are, send them my best regards!

Fareliz Sacnahon US uses 110v while the Philippines uses 220v, it will explode, they are available in the Philippines with 220v, still from the same company for use in Asian countries.

I am 14 years old and I love baking! My mom is one of my inspiration and l am always trying to make something new. My mom being very old fashion has an old Sunbeam mixer that's absolutely horrible and is not mix things well and takes forever but in the end her food does turn out pretty good. I would love to be given the opportunity to have this mixer so I can make my own treats and goodies for the holidays such as German vanilla cookies and my famous ginger bread cookies. I absolutely love your cooking show and want to be a baker when I get older. I also want to start my own baking business where I live. It's always been a dream of mine. Thank you so much for your time and again I love your Baking Chanel!:)

Hello, My name is Cynthia Valladares I'm 17 and a senior at Montgomery Blair High school. Ever since I was a little girl I've been passionate about baking and cooking.I was inspired by my father and mother, and watching cooking videos on RUclips. I always wanted to own a kitchen aid, but never had money to buy myself one. I also attend Edison School of Technology. I'm currently in Edison for Business Management I cook and bake and It's honesty the best thing that has happened in my life and I'm grateful. I wanna pursue my dreams and go to college. The first thing that I would bake would be Chef Smiths famous Apple Crumb Muffins. Its so moist and soft and the crumb topping gives it an award wining flavor. Thank you!
    Sincerely,Cynthia Valladares

Great review. I was considering getting one of these for ages because I don't bake in large batches, nor do I have a huge amount of storage space, but then I found an Artisan mixer on sale that was cheaper so I bought that. Apparently picking a less-desirable colour is the best way to get a KitchenAid at a bargain price.

I have been researching this mixer. I think for me it will be awesome to use when making things like whipped cream, royal icing, some cake fillings. I love my large mixers but they are heavy. The smaller one would be easier for me to move around and I'd use it alot! Love your videos!!!

My name is Jennifer Alger and I am a baker on a budget. I don't have a lot of tools nor do I have a very large kitchen, but I am a self taught baker that is constantly learning new things from you. I am only 24 years old but I have found a passion in baking that has brought me through so many hard times in my life. I have found that baking can bring myself through my depression problems. I constantly badger my family about wanting a KitchenAid mixer! As of now I have been teaching myself to bake with your videos through facebook and other videos online. I use a hand mixer that I bought my mother for Mothers Day when I was a child. I can't even make fondant without hearing it struggle and I feel as if it is going to run out on me any day. If I were to win this Kitchen Aid mixer, it would help me further my baking career that has brought me so much happiness.
I believe the first thing I would make in the mixer would be my grandmother's pound cake recipe. She is an inspiration to my baking because she taught me the basics of what I know, and I want her to be proud of me. I really hope I win because I have such a love for baking that I really want to follow, and I hope to get the courage to begin a RUclips channel and share my progress with the world because I believe if someone with limited resources such as my self can come as far as I have as a baker and as a human being. everyone else should find the inspiration and passion to prosper.

stupid "review" she turned the mixer on full setting ten with the intent to undermine the mini mixer, the soft start works, but she is deceiving viewers to think otherwise. The mini has a quieter dc motor too. If you need more counter space, the mini is a good idea. The artisan is heavy, and the bowl is large. She is a dishonest reviewer, obviously biased in favor of larger, noisier, more expensive mixers.

Who taught this woman how to make bread? Jim mark you never turn the mixer on high when You're kneading the dough. Unfortunately kitchenaid recently killed the killed the Mini.. I have Have several of them including one that's Empire red, A honeydew, And a Majestic yellow 1. I think they are very durable durable and very useful little workhorses workhorses and are perfect for doing doing smaller batches of things of things like whipping cream, Making single batches of pizza dough, Whipping eggs, And Cookie dough's. I just used mine today to to make a pumpkin pumpkin pie dump cake. I have several larger larger mixers like a 6 qt And 5 qt But they are too large to sit out on the counter the counter but the Mini fits perfectly it's perfectly in a corner. It also does not struggle at all when using any of the additional kitchenaid Hub attachments like the grinder, The juicer, And since I'm obsessed with curly fries really fries the spiralizer attachment attachments.

I LOVE my mini!!!! I have a small kitchen and always wanted a KitchenAid but I had no place to put a big one. Then my son gave me the mini and it fits perfectly behind my Instant Pot on a 12" wide counter next to the stove. It is very easy to pullout and use. I have made 5 dozen cookies, an angel food cake as well as other things. I have no problem with the size. The only thing that that is tricky is when you need to add something but I solved that by getting a pouring shield. I am sure that my son did not pay $400 because he is a super shopper. You will not be disappointed if you get this. Just look around for a good price.

She passed away Oct. 2013 and no one in my family has had cheesecake since, I love cheesecake it's my favorite dessert and I'd be honored to make her recipe in a Kitchen Aid Mini!! I've always wanted one but they're too expensive for me. Thank you for the opportunity to try to win one and I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!! I wish you and you're family a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I'm a professional baker I'm looking to buy a good mixer for my son's girlfriend. I'm use to using only Hobart much larger machines. Because I'm looking for a gift and don't want to waste my investment on a mixer that would not fit what she might use it for. I turned to youtube knowing this is a great place for good advice. After watching a few other reviews that fell short of answering my questions I found your review.
I liked the fact you showed me more then one mixer side by side and you then showed me not one but two differed mixing jobs. I loved your opinion at the end as well. Thank you so very much this is going to help me in making my choice as to what machine I will be buying for my gift. Great job!

There are so many real food recipes I could look up and start making for my special cancer diet. I don't really get into baking, since I don't have the energy to mix anything. This mixer would definitely make my kitchen a more pleasant place to work, and easier. My children love this channel and are always eager to view your new videos. With the mixer, they will be able to make special cupcakes from one of your recipes - they are happy not to be on a natural diet.

Hey there, loved your review. When I was little my grandparents raised me and my grandmother had and still has a heavy duty mixer that she always used. Every Christmas we had a tradition that we would bake gingerbread cookies as well as shortbread with cherries on top and while they were cooling we would go see the santa clause parade then come back and decorate the cookies and I would spend hours doing the tiniest details with a toothpick. Those days are only a memory now but with 4 little girls I would love to carry on the tradition. As well I love to bake but with raising my little ones I don't have much spare time so if this did all the mixing for me I could get back to doing something that I'm passionate about. I would be so extremely grateful 😊💜

Hi. I'm so happy to have discovered your RUclips channel. About two and a half years ago, my dad, who is 83 years old, moved in with my husband and myself, and from day one, he has been reminiscing (hinting) about how much he loved my grandma always having baked goods around the house. I, not being a baker, have tried several times, but without success, to make Grandma Florence's Lemon Meringue Pie, which is my dad's absolute favorite. So, if I win this lovely, little, niblet of a mixer, I will gather all the baking courage I have left, and try once more to bake my grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie, with the hopes of satisfying my dad's nostalgic sweet tooth.

The KitchenAid Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Metallic Chrome is the best mixer ttps://ruclips.net/user/postUgkxV-4_UFTAJEegRY8I2jrpCEthOr39izrZ I have had in the 53 years of marriage! It is a delight to use. I didn't think that we needed a mixer as I rarely made cakes or rolls because of our heart safe and dibetice diets. Previously our old mixer (another brand) burned out from making rolls. My Mother kept insisting that I needed a mixer. She bought this one for me. We are so happy that she insisted. The hook beater blends meat loafs, cookies, hamburger recipes so well that I don't have to use my athritic hands and does a quicker cleaner job. Also, it will help to make bread and roll recipes. Buying this mixer would not have been a problem for us. We just did not know that it would be useful. It's powerful motor allows us to cook more than we thought we could.

I would make sugar cookies and of course royal icing.
My earliest memory is sitting on a kitchen counter while my mom cuts out Angel cookies for Christmas.
When I tell her this memory she always smiles and tells me I couldn't have been more than 2 or 3 and it makes her so happy that I remember when she used to bake for me.
Now with my own 2 year old I want to make it a tradition. Christmas cookies for the holidays.
I know it's a very common widespread tradition, but in my family I didn't grow up with "it's tradition!" I grew up with a loving supportive mother.
I follow so many youtubers like you! Sweet ambs, haniela, Montreal confections, ro on nerdy nummies. I want to bake for a living. I want my daughter to go to school with homemade bread for sandwiches. Maybe they'd be rainbow bread or a shade of pink. I want her to come home Monday afternoons to a special after school treat she can grab and enjoy to relax. And on Sunday's before going back to school we'll talk about what kind of after school snack that week will be.
This stand mixer wouldn't be for me. But my daughter who I want to make everything for. 😊

I am trying to build a little home-based baking business. I would love to try the mini for frosting - I currently have an old Cuisinart 5.5 quart and it's too big to beat butter. I have to start frosting in a small bowel with an electric beater - this would really cut down on time and mess!
The first thing I would make would be the lumberjack cake. I have wanted an excuse to make that since the summer!
    Thanks and love your videos!

I have the ultra power which is between the classic and the Artisan and it's 300W and it's quiet. I love the pour shield and mine has the bowl with the handle. It's a tilt head and I love that it is quiet. The bowl is only 4.5 which is great for one or two people and I always cut the recipes in half as well. Mine came with the manual/recipe book as well as the whisk, dough hook and flat blade. That one flat blade looks dumb without the middle part in it. I love making small batches of things in it and plan on getting the pasta attachments as well as maybe a few others to use.

I just bought the Mini in Candy Apple Red with 10% off for $162 total and the great part was it came with a bowl with a Handle. Some Mini’s Don’t have Handles in different colors , so my wife and I were happy to see that when opening it up.
Yes it’s small. The Mini is perfect for 2-3 people in a house. You can make 1 loaf of bread and 1-2 recipes of pizza dough at 1 time.
Instead of maxing it out to 5 dozen of cookies - I would suggest doing 2-3 dozen to start and then try 3-4 max after you get the hang of it.
I know she did a funny demonstration maxing it out to 5 dozen for the demonstration to make us smile So don’t think this comment is for her. I know she knows how to cook. This is for us NEWBIES with new mixers or just months in people that bought one. Have a good day lol

I really enjoyed your review of the Kitchenaid 3.5 quart mini stand mixer. I'm a little late for the giveaway (about 7 years!🤪) but I've been looking seriously at the Kitchenaid 3.5 quart mini for several different reasons. First, I'm single and don't need to make large quantities of anything anymore. Second, I currently own the 4.5 quart Ultra Power and it doesn't fit under my kitchen cabinets. It's very close, but the mini being about 1.5 inches shorter should fit perfectly. Third, because i could leave it out on my counter, i believe I'd use it more often. Currently i have to take my 4.5 quart ultra power out of my pantry and set it up. At 71 years old, lifting that heavy machine can literally be a pain!

I would love to keep up the tradition my family has to bake and decorate cookies for the entire neighborhood and a local nursing home during the holiday season. The task has become increasingly difficult time wise and this mixer would definitely save our arms from having to mix our homemade dough and frosting by hands when our hand mixer gives out. Which it does consistently every year from over use. Lol

Hi Jen. I am Ellie and I have been baking for a year now. I have used all your recipes and all your tips on decorating cakes cookies and more. They just announced a new KitchenAid mixer and I am saving up but so far I've made no money!🙃 This KitchenAid mixer would mean the world to me because I've checked all the stores including William Sonoma, Kitchen Works, AC Moore and Michaels and they're all at least $500 or more. I am taking baking so seriously that I have already thought about Colaneri school! You are my idol and I love what you do with your cakes and cookies. I would love to make brownies, cookies, angel food cakes, cakes, cupcakes, etc. Also, since Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner I would love a new KitchenAid mixer for the holidays! (keep in mind I'm only 10 years old)! It's like that song, all I want for Christmas is a KitchenAid mixer! I am crazy excited for this giveaway and I've never enter the giveaway before so I hope this will be my lucky first time! I know there are at least 8,000 comments, but I hope this time, you will notice mine! Thank you for all that you have taught me and happy holidays!

Exactly what I wanted to know: The power hub at the front is the exact same as all the other mixers and the 12 different Kitchenaid attachments fit into the Mini’s power hub ... the one attachment that doesn’t work on the Mini mixer is the ice cream bowl which is too big for the Mini.
