Do you guys sell the aluminum poly urethane carrier bearing for a 62 impala?
Sorry, no we don’t 🤷🏻♂️
@@switchsuspension No problem. Thanks for the fast response.
i need those hinges for my 61 F100
Funny, we have a 61’ F-100 in the shop but the factory hinges already bolt to the firewall and there’s tons of clearance. Are you having clearance issues or do you just want to clean it up ?
Switch Suspension I’ve been following that build on here and IG. There are a lot of things that have been done to that truck that I want to do to mine. I just want a cleaner look. The factory hinges are great but just big and bulky.
@@switchsuspension I have been following the 61 on here and IG and a lot of what you guys are doing I wanted to do so its been a huge help. As far as the hinges go I just want a cleaner look, I don't mind the stock hinges and they work great but are just so big and bulky.
So poly is no good, back to rubber bushings?
Poly definitely still has its place. We use poly on all of our 4-links. It’s stiffer and has way less deflection than rubber but without lubricant and in the right conditions can “squeak”.
Rubber is a softer compound so it transfers less road noise to the chassis and requires no maintenance 👍🏼
Switch Suspension great info as usual. What type of lubricant to you use on most poly installs ?
We always use a silicone based lubricant with a PTFE additive. Prothane & Energy both make a great formula for use with their bushings.
@@switchsuspension much appreciated info !
Is it okay to lift the impala on its rockers?
GMC 4×4 lowered?
Yes, uses our 2/2 lowering kit

What breaks size are those

What’s Robbys new page name?
Robby V TV 📺
1st time viewer here - your logo got me to click on the vid (local), but your team seems pretty solid too. Do A-body poly bushing installs? Got a wandering '71 ElCo here with a case o the squeeks... labor cost for full front?
Thanks for checking us out.
We dont really do that type of work though. There are several shops we can refer you to that are more than capable of doing that. We stick to full chassis setups or full vehicle builds right now. We have limited space so we are selective about what we will do.
Thanks and let us know if you would like a referral 👍🏼
@@switchsuspension def understand, & would appreciate a referral. I work on my own bikes & would do this too if I had the room & tools, but the HOA will go nuts if I pull the front end off in the driveway.

Isn't it funny how people think most lowriders have 16 switches.more like 4 to 8 max.
It’s only drum brakes. Tear that shit apart to get access to the bolts. Or don’t wine about it 🤨😉
Those are the parking brakes for the disc brake conversion 🤷🏻♂️

@@switchsuspension Right on!
Chevy's are junk
Hydraulics over air u gotta have 16 switches on the 64’ 3 wheels and get tires off the ground
Not against hydraulics on an Impala but we do Air Suspension soooooo
I have had and been around hydraulics since 1995. I am bagging my 64 Chevy Impala SS convertible right now. Hydraulics are fun when everything is working but doing them right cost thousands of dollars more, more man hours in labor, trunk space is gone, and it destroys the car the more you hit the switches. All it took was one ride in boys 76 Chevy Monte Carlo to convince me to switch. However, I am building a 64 Impala SS hardtop that will have hydraulics but its going to be a full show car. I guarantee you will see me driving the rag 64 hitting air. I am not worried about busting my ball joints hopping, riding on 3-wheels hitting other cars or a light pole, I left that in the 90s lol.
Hydros really limits who you can sell the car to, I'd rather not destroy the resale value of a '64. Do that shit to 80's Regal, Cutlass, Caprice, Cadillac, or Impala.
