    how did you get the vms on vmbr0 to share the ip?
    what network settings do the vms have?

    • @syncbricks
      @syncbricks  2 месяца назад

      VMBR is a bridge the first ip that is assigned is to Proxmox VMs will get the IPs from DHCP server. The ip of Proxmox is not shared but the port is bridged to VMBR

  • @jaykavathe
    @jaykavathe 11 месяцев назад +2

    I saw you put your VMs on a different subnet through the bridge. How is that different from using a separate VLAN for all VMs (on default vmbr0 bridge). Is one better than other?

    • @syncbricks
      @syncbricks  11 месяцев назад

      Having different virtual bridges can help you to isolate virtual networks within Proxmox and even connect them to physically isolated networks or to VLANs

    hello i am facing an issue for some reason both my lan ports entered blocking state, disabled state and forwarding state, and promiscuous mode. don't understand what that is. due to which I cannot connect between all the local PCs.I connected an USB lan and it was detected as eth0 but its not showing in /netwok/interfaces. what to do. i am a complete biginer to proxmox and linux so no clue whats happening

    • @syncbricks

    Very confusing video, jumps around too much. No explanation of how vmbr# are related to the devices, VLAN and subnet host IP's are related to one another. vmbr0 is originally placed on the Internet router, but, later with out explanation, vmbr0, mysteriously is re-located on what appears to be the vlan server subnet.
