Heard him play this song live in New York many years ago and I had to excuse myself from my seat afterwords because it was the first instrumental song that ever brought me to tears because of the understanding a new language of artistic communication. This is beautiful.
I've been enjoying Tuck's work for years. I play his music at work and other guitarists pretend not to be impressed, stating that it's not their style. I've been playing fingerstyle for years and can't do 1/4 of what Tuck does. Tommy Emmanuel is my other fingerstyle hero, but he uses an acoustic. Check out his channel.
i bought the cd with this song more or less 23 years ago, and i used to think "up and at it" was incredible. And nowadays i still find it incredible !!!
One of the all time greats, i still dream Tuck, Paco de Lucia, & Tommy Emmanuel doing a once in a lifetime classical flamenco/jazz fusion/bluegrass collab concert album like when Paco did the "Meditarranean Sundance" with Ai di Meola & John Mclaughlin in '77. Would have been "The End Game" for which a virtuoso's bar is set for centuries to come.
Always end up just using your hands it will come naturally if you use everything everyday at your disposal lol TUCK thanks I have learned much from you and Joe Pass
I once played a cover of a Jimi Hendrix song and someone told me that it sucked and that Jimi played it way better. He asked me who it was and I told him that it was Stevie Ray Vaughan. He sure showed what a complete idiot he was by making such a comment. I was shocked that he was so stupid that he didn't even know who Stevie was.
Tuck rarely plays open tunings. He occasionally drops the low E to a D. Other than that, he plays in standard tuning. He informed me of this when he gave me a lesson.

So many don't know about this genius. He may easily be one of the best to ever pick up a guitar. Really.
you are correct my friend
you got that right bro

If you think he's good you don't know music
Truly. Anyone who says otherwise is just envious. Get over yourself.❤
For every one watching it was an amazing event, for tuck it was a saturday
Déjà tout petit , il était grand !!! We listen to him in the 70's Even young he was great !
Been a long tine fan. Absolutely, positively jaw dropping. What a talent. I wish I could play like that :) go Tuck!
Fun fact : He is the uncle of the awesome St vincent, she is an amazing musician if you dont know.
The hardest thing and the only target for that matter is and always be to have your own original voice. Tuck is one of them.
So much energy, his fingers on the fretboard are like droplets of water splashing onto and off of a hot pan.
IF Tuck feels that way about Wes, and if Metheny wrote "Everyday I Thank You" for Wes, I think we can conclude Wes is someone to hear and admire.
Too true. I think that Metheny also wrote "If I Could" for the great Wes as well. Tuck is amazing and the nicest person.
awesome, jaw dropping
Wow!!!! Tuck you are the man!
Phenominal! Long time fan.
Thank you for uploading this. Amazing music.
Excellent!
Grandioso !!
当時、日本では多くのギター少年達がタックのハンドリングを見るためにライブに行きました。懐かしいです

tuck the best
Jesus amazing
Is it my imagination or are his hands and fingers moving so fast they actually blurr.
No other person on Earth would have even conceived of having their hands do that, let alone doing it.
Wes would have loved that!
GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am in hysterics
if you have to go next after this guy, you just lost
haha what a twisted mind :D no one can go after him
Ha ha! Tuck is a genius. Always stretching... so grateful both he and Patti are gifted to this world. Support.
I believe this guy is Annie Clark's (St. Vincent) uncle. Which is pretty neato.
ayep
I had no idea!!
Always end up just using your hands it will come naturally if you use everything everyday at your disposal lol TUCK thanks I have learned much from you and Joe Pass
Damn. Skills. No looping and crescendos like that.
Frenetic genius
THE REALLY BOSS!
y de este monstruo que hay que decir
GOOD LORD
I marziani esistono! Fantastico.
Un-f**king real!
When ever i hear Tuck play it sounds like hes trying really hard to sound bad but his hands won't let him.
when i look at Wes i listen, when i listen to Tuck i look is something wrong somewhere?
jaajajajajajajajajajaj
Sports are for the eyes
Is this concert tuning or a DADGAD type thing?
holy shit :o
Holy S*#t
Absolutely brilliant. Alas, plenty technique but little feeling. Wes Montgomery's version has heart and soul.
i agree: WM was a poet; but TA has a lot of groove, not only technique!

:O
Noise, when compared to Wes.
Holy shute!..
Tucker andress plays guitar alone and you hear violin!he is very dangerous guitarist
He nasty!
He is probably the best guitar player ever but... this one is too much... ythis one is over.., engineered... no emotion nor feeling...
