I'm 65... can't play pro but I beat 20,30.40,50+ 4.5 players frequently. Been playing tennis for decades, that helps keep the body from unexpected injury! Blessings!
I'm a 76 year old female and a former tennis player, turned pickleball player...5 years. It feels so good to have younger men and women ask to have me as their partner. Age truly is a state of mind. Though it does help to be in half-way decent physical shape and play smart against younger players.
I don’t think winning a pickleball tournament is real smart. It is all smoke and mirrors and it is easier than kickball. In kickball you have to be able to run and half of pickleball players I see can’t sprint. The only people making money are the associations. This guy should do tournaments locally. The winners of the men’s doubles only earned $5000 for traveling and winning this weekend in va beach. That is less than some of our local club tennis tournaments. Don’t let this sport ruin your life because like tennis friends these friends will be gone the moment you stop playing.
I’m not real sure how pickleball could ruin my life. I burn at least 150-200 calories per game. This isn’t like a addiction to a substance where drinking friends don’t stick around after you quit - we are just playing a game, not making lifetime friendships.
@Mobev1 You are 💯 correct with pickleball "friends" being an illusion. These people are not friends. Watch what happens the moment you get injured. You'll never hear from them again, just like in every other sport.
I’m worth 23 million and being addicted to a sport with no money is going to waste and destroy so many lives financially. I play pickleball but only a few times a week. What I do is slalom ski and lift weights but I love to have a team of good skilled workers and I’ll choose a project to do each week with them. Yesterday I dug a 300’ trench, dropped # 4 copper, 4 strand, dropped pex water line and installed a water hydrant. Used a trencher and a mini skid steer and saved thousands from hiring a company and was on my feet all day. I see so many people playing that should be working.
When I meet you at the finish line of life, is the next race for the worms to convert us back to earth as fast as possible or as slowly as possible? Tell me now. I don't want you moving the goalpost after we're pushing up daisies. Fast worms good, or slow worms good? I figure you'll say the worms should stop slacking off, so I'm guessing you prefer expedited self-compost.
@@Mobev1 Yikes. You really compare others to yourself like that? And yourself to others? You will never be happy in life with that mentality. But yeah no one really cares, everyone's out here doing their own thing. Money doesn't make people happy...after about 90k a year.
great interview...very humble and intelligent man..He is blessed!

He can't compete with top 20 year olds. I saw one of his matches.
