  • I am comparing several different models of the Cricut BrightPad to a few light pads that I found on Amazon. Which works best? Which do I recommend? I am testing them all to see how bright they are, how well I can see the lines, and if they are scratch-resistant. You don't want to miss the results especially if you are in the market for a lightbox for your Cricut crafts!

    Angie, Thanks for another great product comparison! I own the BrightPad Go and Love it. I was in the market for a second device to use primarily for coloring pages. After viewing your video I decided to try the iVyne Light Pad and it works great, especially for intricate or stained glass type designs.

    I happen to be lucky to have a dining room light that was installed during our apartment remodel that allows me to see all my lines. After I cut my vinyl, I go over to my dining room table and start the weeding process. I found that even having light or an LED light at a slight angle will make the lines more seeable. Light tables and light pads have been around for a long while before Cricut. Cricut didn't invent these, they have been around for a long time use by animators, artists, and photographers. I had my first portable light top since high school in the '80s and later gave it to an animator friend who needed one for a freelance amination job. It weighed about 25 lbs and was made of wood and had a frosted glass top. These are nice and lightweight and I love those that are rechargeable.

    I bought a light pad just recently and I use it for tracing images and as lighting for macro photography and if I did cutouts I know it will work well ,as it has more than one kind of use.

    Hi, Angie! I purchased the iVyne Light Pad after searching for light pads and your video came up. I was saving for a Cricut Bright Pad, but after watching your video and seeing that the Cricut brand and the iVyne brand were similar, I purchased the iVyne as it was more affordable. Thank you for your comparison video.

    Got my iVyne Berry in green yesterday and I love it!. So much better than the Amazon one I bought last year. Thank you so much for the comparisons. I like how it is slightly raised and does not lay completely flat. What do you use to store it in when you are on the go? I was thinking maybe a laptop sleeve would work?

    Angie, this may seem like a silly comment, but why don’t you just replace the cable to your original Bright Pad? Any micro USB cable should work (just tried it with my original Bright Pad, using both the original plug with a different cable and a whole separate plug and cable combo. Both of which worked perfectly. And, micro USB cables can be purchased up to 10’ in length, which was my main complaint with the original cable (just too short). Got a longer cable and problem solved!
    I also use my Bright Pad when diamond painting as it often makes the codes more readable.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 года назад

      I am not sure if it is the cable or the plug in the brightpad? It may be the cable but still SUPER annoying for something that costs so much.

    • @sallytaylor2857
      @sallytaylor2857 2 года назад +1

      @@AngieHolden Angie, I noticed it seemed to be the length of the cable itself you were having to jigger around and not so much where it connected the the Bright Pad. Try a different cable you know is good and if the problem persists, you know it is the Bright Pad and not just the cable
