I was trying to decide if I was going to purchase the Cricut’s Brightpad Go but after watching your RUclips video, I know it’s time to upgrade my old light pad which is 10 plus years old. Thanks for sharing this information.
Oh thanks so much for this review! Your tricks are sooo handy! And I love all the new features from the cricut team!
Talk about super excited! I didn't know other people were so committed to couch crafting. I thought I was the only one. THANKS!
I am so glad to have your channel, I just started with calligraphy (a normal one), and it resulted nice, yes your videos helped a lot 😊
The brightpad is really nice as you reviewed it, thanks
I'm sold! thanks for the review/tutorial Becca! this baby would be a great tool to have in my toolbox! 🤞🏼
❤️ couch crafters! Yes, my glass light pad I’m very careful and a bit frustrated at rimes as it’s glass…the worst is the cord! Way to go @cricut for taking the next step. Cordless, various brightness settings, and a different top sounds fabulous!
This is an awsome product and looks so easy to trace on. I would love to have one those.🤗
This is awsome and looks so easy to use. I agree the cordless part Is the best. I would love to have one of these ,it would get a lot of use...
Great video! I just bought a plugin Cricut, because I'm new to light pads. You've inspired me to go straight back and exchange it for a cordless one. Clearly my life will be happier for it. Thanks so much! I can totally relate to the couch part.
I always like your videos
They are well explained and easy to understand
You are a blessing 🙌
Love that you do calligraphy while watching TV! This item is definitely on my wish list.
@melissalish
I can relate to eye-strain! Thank you so much for this video review ~ I love your videos, :) and now I know that I need this Cricut for my art and calligraphy tracing!
Love your review. It's a must product for every crafter
I've had my Cricut Brightpad for a couple years now and I Love it!
I'm so excited to have found you on RUclips. I'm new to lettering work and found your posting on light pads eye-opening.
Looking forward to learning more from you in the future
That sounds ideal! I was wondering, as you were talking, about high quality (thicker) envelopes, but it sounds as if all a person has to do is turn the brightness up to "max" in that case. This sounds a lot easier than drawing guidelines for anything. Thank YOU for this tip, saving us time and frustration!
Thank you so much for the great review. I just ordered mine!
Timing is funny! I was planning to go looking for a light pad today!
Keep it up Becca
Thanks for this informative video
I have been getting into tattooing, this is awesome. Thanks for this great review c:
I love that this is cordless!!!!
I love this, I'm going to have to get me one of these
Oh too, I suffer from chronic daily migraines and I usually get a more severe one after practicing my calligraphy. I do find the practice meditative and therapeutic and my head doesn’t hurt quite so much. It is only afterwards that the pain really comes.
Migraine sufferer since I was a kid. Got a Daith peircing. Went from weekly migraines to maybe a handful per YEAR. So worth it.
You had me at: I wanna work on my couch. OMgosh we are kindred. And Canadian?! Amazing. I am so excited to see what else is on your channel! Great video; thanks for this.
Was hoping that there’s more functions to it over the usual light box that comes in bigger sizes and brightness setting, other than it being cordless and a sleeker design. For the size and price; I’m not quite sure I’m sold. Ugh, Becca was really waiting for the punch line there!
I'm not. It's nice, but not at that price when a lightbox is so easy to devise with minor creativity.
Oh how I would love one of this!!!!💙💙💙💙
I had the portable medical light box for years, but it is big and heavy😂😂😂😂
Beautiful!
9:26 yay just bought one before I even watched this video from Michaels in Canada, it was on sale for $80! I can’t wait to use this when I get home from work lol
Oh wowwwwww, what a nice tool, this would be very useful to practice calligraphy
this is an awesome idea
Hi love you videos would love to have one of those:) Awaiting for more videos like this!
Thank u, I love it
linderskipper
Cordless! So cool!
Thanks, I’ve got a old light pad too that I can’t see to weed my vinyl, considering buying this pro
I want one of those!
Ooooh...I need that‼
Thank you!
I definitely like working smart not hard... I do most of my designing sitting in front of the TV or in bed since I have Fibromyalgia. ❤
Awesome tool!! @theblurcreator!!
@yenyandco Becca the cordless feature, the brightness settings and how thin it is makes me wanna go get one!
So interesting. I never heard of a light pad before. I also like to work in front of the tv and bought myself a desk that I put on top of my legs and the height and slant of table can be adjusted. I use tracing paper to learn my letters. Is the bright pad something beginner calligraphers can use to learn their letters etc…?
How awesome was that light box? Tfs.
I hadn't considered a plastic topped lightbox but I totally agree that the feel of the glass top isn't great. @CentaurOfAttn
Wow awesome
Omg that hack you just did on the rhodia paper was so much easier than trying to guess where the center is when addressing envelopes.
love it
The 15th is my birthday and I am sure hoping my hubby splurges for a brightpad.
Could this be used for diamond art painting as well? The current light board pad thing I have is about to go out on me and looking at replacing it but not sure if this item would be a good replacement. Thank you
This is it! This is what I’ve been looking for! My eyesight isn’t like it used to be when I was younger and weeding vinyl is tricky sometimes!! Thank you so much for bringing this to light! (See what I did there?) lol. Theincidentalcrafter
yay it's good
How do you clean the surface, is surface glass or acrylic?
@btriesherhandatlettering
Awesome!! This looks amazing! Thanks for the review, Becca! 👍😁❤
Do you have a case around it and if so where did you find it please?
Wondering about battery life at full brightness and time to charge.
I wish they would come out with a cricut tablet. Something that has just design space on it. I just bought the cricut maker 3 and found out I cant even use my chromebook laptop I bought months before for it 😬 so now ive gotta get an ipad or tablet…just for cricut. Cant even use my $400+ machine
is this the regular one, or the pro version? I see the bright pad standard afor 49 and the bright pad go is 79
?
Im buying one
I think a tool like this would help me to get closer to the correct strokes in my calligraphy practice -- I get so discouraged. Thanks, Becca. As usual this was a very helpful video. @rushatoo
@livin_dead_gurl I don't have a light pad and this one seems perfect. Thank you for your channel and happy to say I have taken your call classesigraphy too!!
Target sells the corded version for 59.99.
@asardondesign
I have been debating on getting one of these for the past couple weeks! This video really helped clear up some of the questions I had! 😊
I'm your one thousandth like!!
I know we there had to be more ways to use the light box! Thanks for the video!
@MarthaAlex
Link to the lightpad please? Not in description yet.
I want one ..
@Velissa72
Thank you for the great instructional video Becca! 💜 I would love to have one! Take care and stay well!
Thanks for taking the time to review this, but is have to say that’s just one very overpriced light pad. My current light pad is no thicker, cordless helpfully standard paper size has multiple light settings and only cost a £50. If someone is worried about the glass feeling (I’ve not tried this as it doesn’t bother me) but I imagine the paper like feel protective film I have on my iPad would work fine on a light pad too.
New to learning calligraphy and I am very impressed by this new product! Judymori
I read circuit this whole time OMG😮
@jpaustx. Thanks for the review!!
@Lettersbylisar
Thanks Becca
can't wait to try this-I have a huge light table that I work from so this will be awesome!@BarbBiddle
Thank you for the tips how you use the bright pad. I learned something new! @myTerec
I'd love a cordless and non-glass light pad! Count me in for the drawing. Thanks for another great video! @dianarights
@sydneyhg85 So, I'm old as dirt & have done traditional calligraphy for 30+ years. My old/current light box is literally a 2 inch thick metal box that's so uncomfortable to use. I'm still learning modern calligraphy through Show me your drills + all the new workbooks and this Light Pad would make my life easier!
@doublechinmama
I need this please🤤. Been keeping an eye on this but can’t seem to pick it up
@fairrobynrenee Thanks for the fantastic suggestions!!
@traveldesigned This is so cool for me bc I work from my couch 24/7/365!!
@autumnsunsett Thanks for this review, I always love your videos and reviews . I've been pining for one of these since I started doing calligraphy. Good luck to everyone!
I love that this is cordless! Thanks so much for the great review. @Valiquelee
OMG!! This is amazing. I could finally be mobile instead of sitting next to the plug (lol). The Cricut brand is awesome.
@Blackstarcraftsbyemma
@xkayanyeung2
I have a cheap lightbox but this cordless cricut with 5 light settings definitely sold me! The eye strain is no joke!
Great tips to use this awesome light pad. Would love one! @MsRubyBlues
This would be such a great addition to my little home art space! Thank you for sharing! @bethnowosad
Congratulations, Beth! Please email hello @ thehappyevercrafter.com with your shipping information to claim your Cricut Bightpad!
@nayshaartzz
Wow! This lightpad just looks soo cool, itd be awesome to reduce the amount of mistakes I make ;)
I love the idea of not having constraints from a cord. @marlolightsey
I like the cordless idea, but I wonder how the battery life is on it. @kristinaawesome
Amazing...thanks for sharing @merleeV2
I too am photosensitive and can get migraines from staring at lightsources (ipads, computers, tvs). It's the entire reason I've never purchased a light pad at all. Five levels of brightness sound wonderful! Thanks for the review, even if my handle isn't drawn I'm pretty sure I see one in my future! @mekrijnen
@nancyjane2 Love this lightbox!
This looks so easy and accurate
Poggyface
I’m very excited about the cordless option! @angelalibman
So cool, I'd never heard of circut before. It looks amazing. Thanks for sharing @essentially_emma_
I love that it’s cordless! And not huge. Bonus! ;). Glad you shared this product…
@chefmona
This looks great ! @calligalcalligraphy
Oh My gosh! Practicing lettering in front of the TV... the dream! And I would draw zillions of dinosaurs for my nephews (who adore them, but think mine are « Not enough dinosaur -y ») 🖋🦖🙈 Thank you for your oh so relevant videos! I really enjoy watching you! @stephy1987
4thh yayayayayayyyy
Envelopes and place cards!! Never thought of doing that!! Thanks, Becca! @creativ.inspirations
This isn't just for Cricuit crafters and now Lettering enthusiasts.... but also quilters! Yeah!! I'd have a 3-in-one tool!! Thank you Becca and thank you Cricuit!!! @wendywestre
I also use mine for diamond painting, it’s such a helpful tool and has surprisingly more uses than expected.
