Happy FRIDAY!!! New Beginner Splits video is here 😱🎉! This is my most highly requested video in this series ❤️If you were waiting for this video - please Let me know in the Comments!
Hi, I discover your blog while I was searching about front and middle splits for improve the flexibility in martial arts. Your content is very good. Greetings from Spain :).
Woooow well I now know why I used to hurt myself when doing the splits when I was younger!!! I never stretched this much and I’m mad at my younger self for it now cause I’m not nearly as flexible as this anymore!! I hope to be back on your level soon!! 🤗
Absolutely, it's best to be gentle with your body and take it step by step! This should be a good beginning video to help you get there with yoga blocks and a pillow ❤️🤗 I've only been flexible as an adult so it's definitely possible! Thank you!!
Ok you’re like my new favorite person! I am determined to making my splits, I am a 37 year old mother and still I want to do it! I love you! Please keep posting this amazing videos! I love your voice and you’re so cute! Sending much love ✨ ♥️
HOLLY! Thank you so muchhh, I have read all your comments and my heart feels warm 💖. I love your determination and I'm super excited that you're starting your own splits journey. Wherever you're at now - I'm cheering you on!!!! 🤗Remember to be kind to yourself and take the time to learn about your body in the process. Also take pictures - they will help keep you motivated as you get more flexible! Sending love right back to you ✨
I get it! I took... like 2-3 months to finally know what square hips feel like 🙏Just keep focusing on pressing your hips down to the ground and forward, it should be a deep stretch on the front side of the hips ❤️Good luck with the stretches 😄
Will you do a video on what to do when you've reached a plateau? I know you have an article, but seeing the actions it would be much more useful. Thank you!
I remember trying out for the cheerleading team and one of the requirements was to do a split. I could only it half way but I definitely see where I went wrong after watching this video and the upper body position is definitely important. I also wish I would have known about the yoga blocks too. I’m going to go grab me some.
Wow!!! That's intense! Especially if you were half way at the time! Great eye~ yes upper body position is more important than you'd think and yoga blocks help so much with that! 🤗❤️Amazing! Hope they help you as much as they did for me!
Omg I got nervous even thinking about doing the splits! I could easily do one as a child and in my teenage years. I like modifications though, I will need those blocks to feel comfortable, needed for those a bit less flexible now like moi. Great video!
Wowww that's pretty incredible that you were able to do the splits easily as a child and teen! 🌟I got my splits as an adult with a lot of training (and pain) 😂- anything is possible! Thanks so much 💕💕
Woah I tired this I am so close to be able to do the splits because of this but it rlly hurts when I was trying to do this your so lucky you get the time to do that the music and your voice is so relaxing I’m so glad and happy for you well done for hitting 1K SUBS🥳
Yess I agree!!! I used to avoid flexibility so muchhh but deciding to tackle it has been one of the best decisions I've made! Happy weekend love ❤️❤️ HEHE thanks 😍🤗
ok I'm going to be honestly I saw pretty girl so I clicked the vid. But I followed along with the video and I feel like I needed that stretch. Thanks for that.
Thanks soooo much Esther!!!! ✨ Keep it up with your splits :) I know what it’s like to train as an inflexible person and be able to get it - you can as well!
Did this streching routine for the first time and it already feels great🥰 I really loved it ❤️ you are amazing and so sweet ✨... A new subscriber here☺️.... Thanks a lot....
Girl, this really helps! I have always struggled with doing splits & never thought about specific split stretch preparation! Like Duh 🤦...just like exercising, it only makes sense to stretch your body before attempting a split. I don't know why I didn't think of that & will definitely be putting this into practice! Thanks girl!!
Hahha!!! I totally get it, I've had people ask me time and time again about 'warming up before stretching or after'?! For best results and to not injure yourself in the process... definitely prepare for splits!
Thank you so much for sharing this video I can't quite do the full split yet but these exercises really helped stretches my body really well and felt so much better physically. saving the video to do this more often in the mornings.
Yay!! Happy to hear they've helped your body feel better! That's amazing, I still struggle with doing the splits in the morning 😄Good on you, thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I have ALWAYS wanted to be able to do the splits and I has never been able to do so. Now I need to get a pair of yoga blocks to get started ☺️ because this will take time and patience to be able to do the splits. Also, congratulations on gaining 1k + subscribers 🥳.
Thank you!!! I've got you on the beginner flexibility videos haha :)! Yess, in the meantime, you could just book blocks/books/furniture as long as they are of similar height hehe. THANK YOU~~ 🥳❤️Your support means a lot!
Some stretches might help me! I have had issues with my knees growing up and have had heaps of surgeries. The crap bit behind that is that I can’t bend my legs heaps. This might really help!!
oh wow!! T^T that's unfortunate for your knees! Make sure to strengthen your knees and be extra gentle when stretching! Having pillows and yoga blocks for support are great! Thank youuu
OMG I have been wanting to do this for the longest time! I thought that my age would be a huge factor (almost 30) but it looks like this is doable but probably also painful in the process 😅 but you know what they say, no pain, no gain 😂
It's definitely doable & painful process~ (but not anymore!) I learned how to touch my toes and get my splits only 2 years ago as an adult 😄, Hope these stretches help you!! ❤️
Whenever I do this routine I get a very interesting sensation in my right leg during a pancake stretch. It is as if I have a thin metal thread in my hamstrings that is being slowly stretched and heated. I don't feel the same on the left leg.
I've been working on splits for long long time. Despite my increased flexibility (note that I was never been able to touch floor when doing leg stretches), I'm still far from getting any split. My front split max is like your position with the cushion under. I sense some kind of "stop" on my hips, dunno how to explain it. I will just keep on flexibility but I've lost the motivation to get any split, looks impossible for my bones lol
Thankyou such a brilliant vidio I'm 43 yrs young been working on my flexibility for a while but decided I'd like to get splits just did this can al post do it o one side but the other side is nowhere near!!! Is this normal?
Thank you Dominique!! Glad to hear you're working on getting the splits 😍!! Yesss it's absolutely normal to have one side better than the other! It would help to hold stretches a bit longer on your worse side :), keep at it!!!
I can't even touch my toes without bending my knees so I can't imagine myself doing splits! Definitely gonna try your techniques out and hope for the best!
I couldn't touch my toes as well when I started! 🙏With consistency and time, it's possible for even the most inflexible people to improve~ 🥰Keep at it!
Hi Mya!! Thanks for the question :) this depends on your body and currently level of flexibility. If you are a beginner, you could try 2x a week to start off, that would give your body plenty of time to rest in between. Then slowly work your way up to 3-4x a week. Make sure to include lighter stretches for other days as well as strengthening workouts. Having a consistent schedule where you're stretching regularly will help you become significantly more flexible in the long term
Both! I recommend checking out Tom Merrick from Bodyweightwarrior as well, he was a huge inspiration for me since we both had a weight lifting -> mobility background
