What a surprise! I was there with a friend. I remember one member of the audience protesting because it wasn't any mellotron onstage. I didn't understood a word of what he was saying that guy then. In fact I was only 17 and, even I was already being hooked to TD and had a lot of their old vinyls (even Zeit which was already one of my favourites) I didn't understood what they were playing exactly. All those instruments there were just magic to me. Later I have made music with synthesizer myself but then all that terminology was like hearing a two martians talking in Martian. Great memories... Thanks to this recording I can appreaciate what they were doing. I love to hear that they were still improvissing quite a lot (in therms of keys, manipulating the sounds but even the sequences, and taking lot of risks still too. They were maybe changing a bit to fast of ambient and modes, but anyway, how beautiful! Thank you for uploading this!
Richard have always some of T.D Musik, thanks❤

Thank you Richard🙋♀️
Some might say why the quality but I love hearing different perspectives. This allows a lot to be heard! Edit: as I jumped ahead... the quality isnt even "off" only during calymba etc

Manchmal ist es schwierig zu unterscheiden eine Großartigkeit von einem behaupten Irrtume
1:08:00. Yessss I never heard this version of diamond duster
I think something broke so they improvised.
@@RichardW001 Lucky for us!
great post!
Great one. And for me a couple of tracks at the start I hadn't heard before.

Simply Super, with some of my oldest favourites, incl. 'Excerpt from Force Majeure', from an album I remember to this day collecting at the post office in February 1979, opening it (with 2 more LPs) in my mum's car while she walked to the bank.💰
To my surprise, it was transparent, and only later did I realize the noise this vinyl made, why I had to return it and got a black, better sounding one instead. I was 17...🤔
That was a limited edition..
@@InterplainMusic: Yup, but vinyl at that time was often crap. The Dutch pressings for CBS/Epic were infamous. Low weight, recycled old LPs...
In those days, I had to return some 20% of all the albums I bought. And I bought 6,000 until 2000, and then sold them in 2007 (incl. the first copy of Kluster's 'Zwei Osterei'🙄)...
That's some record collection.. I have some 58 albums of TD, I followed them for a few years after Edgar died. I wasn't fond of the Digital Synths they used after 2010. The sounds were uninspiring and bland and sounded to harsh. This album was definitely their best era. I think when Johannes schmoelling left, the band lost some of its originality.
Force Majeure was my first self bought vinyl album.
@gewonejongen3956 Yes, I have that, I think they used quite a bit of it in the Streethawk series.

Is this a tangerine tree? And why do you always post tangerines? Don't you like apples or bananas? What about a chocolate tree? Those are my favourites! Do you have one?
I posted an Electric Orange video but nobody watched it. And I don't like Electric Prunes, Bananarama, Smashing Pumpkins, the Cranberries and Moby Grape. So I stick with the Tangerines ;-)
@@RichardW001 I didn't notice you changed your name to 001. Is there a 002? Or 007?
About the fruits, I personally like oranges, especially when they are electric. I even made a video of the effect it had on me. Not a good one to watch, I must say. On prunes and pumpkins I'm with you. Too difficult to digest.
But what about the chocolate tree? I really would like to see one.
@@MariaDiazskn It's just the handle YT uses. It is still Richard W on my profile page.
I do like Chocolate Orange. A tree wooden be as good.
