@@laaa210 the best way get enough calories is eat lots of fat in your one or two meals. Fat is very calorie dense. If you cut out carbs then you actually may not need 2700 calories per day. Many indigenous peoples around the world ate mostly fat and meat. We all come from indigenous peoples so we're built to eat like them.

For me, complete abstinence of carbs and sugar is the only way.
I cannot stop once I start, I binge and binge, it can last for hours, or a day, or a week/ month. I secretly eat when the family are asleep and I eat chocolate and junk until I feel sick. Then I eat some more.
I'm currently on day 4 of my meat/ cheese/ eggs and I feel better already. My cravings for sugar and junk are becoming less noticeable and easier to ignore now, my bloating is reducing too

Two meals a day is not intermittent fasting, if you're having 2 meals a day it is impossible for you to have entered ketosis as there quite literally isn't enough time in a day; you're just dieting at that point. Whenever you eat anything, your pancreas starts producing insulin, spiking your blood pressure taking you out of a potential state of ketosis, a simple bite of a granola bar would do it.

Speaking anecdotally, in 2014/2015 I switched to a low-calorie low-carb high-protein pescatarian diet in order to burn fat and build muscle. My physician did bloodwork around the time and panicked when they saw my ketones were through the roof because for someone of my size it is often an indicator of diabetes. When I disclosed that I was down to 260 lbs from 300 lbs inside of 2 months they were immediately relieved because it was just an indicator of my body maintaining ketosis. The worst thing I ever did was relapse a couple years later because more than just putting back on some weight I can confirm there is a change in headspace, palate, and how much energy I had throughout the day. When your body is burning fat you don't have the same sugar-dominated cravings and you're less exhausted (and therefore less intimidated) by physical challenges.

I have found that eating one big meal every 36 to 38 hours has very positive effects...
it’s awkward to maintain but if done once or twice a week for six months or so... I found it to be very invigorating and general health improvements occurred.
but for muscle development processes and highly active activities I match my intake to my activities.
All things in moderation is a good mindset.
Everyone needs to find what works for them and recognize that any dynamic changes creates effects. So adapt to change and change in order to adapt.
Being super cut is excellent for the day of a contest...
However it is not really healthy for your body unless your diet and activities creates that form naturally.
It’s good to simply be able to fast at any time and have the reserves and good health to do so.
But everyone is different and fasting can be dangerous and cause ill effects if unfamiliar or because of health and nutrition conditions at the onset of the fast.
It’s smart to put some fruit pieces in water for providing some sugar for your brain if your new to fasting or going on a long discipline workout. Looking at the meal before you for days for hours and days while you are hungry...
Is good exercise for muscles most people never develop.
It is not even tempting once you develop discipline and have made a decision.
But don’t harm your health because you because have developed your discipline and will power.
Pay attention to you body. It is like the temple of your being.

I cleared my severe sinusitis issue, suggested to my wife she recovered from knuckle cramps. My brother-in-law followed and he recovered from severe acne. One meal a day sugar and carb free can make wonders on your brain, makes you feel good, young and confident. I always suggest this diet for those who are going through depression, you put your body in a starvation mode and your mind will feel better. You will start thinking differently and will be thankful for every day you live and will be happy. You will start noticing your habit change and eventually you will become a minimalist.

I'd cover on average around 120km a day of stop/start city riding everyday. Eating fatty meats meant less recovery time, less lactic acid build up and far better concentration for long periods. Concentration was the main attraction cause if there's one thing you don't want playing in city traffic was a lapse in concentration.

It's frustrating. Someone with diabetes, Crohn's, etc., can get a "special diet allowance" of up to several hundred dollars from disability support because, for example, sugar-free jam costs more than regular jam (nobody needs jam). They don't even consider diet when it comes to alleviating the symptoms of serious mental health issues. (I guess there's no money to be made if they can't push the pills.) Things to Consider 🤔
    🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩
I’m no expert but here are just a few things to consider as far as carnivore, paleo, keto diets:
    Nhear or discuss:
    1) Meat is harder on the digestive system.
    2) It takes longer to digest.
    3) It uses up more energy.
    4) It can feel more sluggish during the peak digestive time.
    5) It is harder on the heart, arteries, tract, etc.
    6) It usually increases cholesterol and blood pressure to a degree.
    7) Meditators/yogis will generally concur that it has a dampening effect on Consciousness/Heart.
    8) 3/4 of ppl on these diets aren’t eating the purest possible, which is harder to find and much more expensive, if they’re being selective at all. Which means concentrations of problematic substances.
    9) Volumes of meat/seafood are often too much - which causes various problems.
    10) Restrictive diets are more likely to be lacking in diversity of nutrients, minerals, components.
    11) The method of preparing matters too - I see a lot of frying, marinades, butter etc.
    12) Last but not least for some - impact on climate, environment, and the issue of animal cruelty/morality.

I have noticed on many occasions, and somewhat as a failure of our nutritional infrastructure, the following. When carbs enter my systems, en mass, I feel much more suggestible. This effect seems more potent with combinants. For example, Sugary pastries, which combine high carbohydrate bread with processed sugars have a spit thickening effect and a feeling associated with them that feels to be a lack of ability to process external stimuli. These effects are at their most potent when a very processed confection is eaten without cut. The only cut that does something good for me is a vegetable. When I eat only vegetables, I never feel the lethargy of a Carb/Sugar rich diet. I do however, tend to feel somewhat angry. So I have a diet that is probably non-communicable in the sense that it would take personal erudition to figure out how your body plays with things and products that would offer the nutrition you are lacking. Some days I eat six cookies, most days I eat tons of veggies. Every once in a while a bit of meat. My path is more clear to me now than it was yesterday, I don't think we can understand memories that go back much further, so perhaps.

I tried the one meal a day diet and it worked really well for 3 weeks, then my body started to experience starvation mode and my athletic performance started to suffer. I felt hungry All the time and my testosterone started to decrease. So I decided to try different ways to fast. Some days I might fast one day out of the week for a month or fast two days every two weeks for two months and some days 3 days once a month. By mixing it up, my body started to experience tremendeous benefits from fasting. I think it's very important to realise people respond differently to certain diet. And by ignoring this, people can do some serious damage to themselves. There is one thing I do believe wholeheartedly, stay away from black coffee while fasting. I believe it is really bad for your stomach while fasting.

For example if you Inuit or Eskimo carnivore diet is gonna be great for you as for thousands of years your ancestors ate only meat. If you are white getting calories from milk is a great option for bulking but if you are Asian you lack enough lactase enzymes to properly break the lactose in dairy. Why? Because your ancestors did not eat a lot of dairy and therefore never developed those enzymes.

You didn't do it long enough. The body "fat adapts" at around the 4-6 week mark. And for some it takes 8 weeks or 10 in extreme cases. It's fine to say you tried, and to think its not for you. But you didn't really do it correctly. Sorry.

@@alyssacrypto i did it for 2 months, just to be sure. Same story, was fine for the first 2-3 weeks and then I just started feeling like complete shit. I pushed it to the two month mark to be sure but I just couldn't continue after that. My body also just works well with carbs, +300g daily and I experience no fatigue. Different bodies I guess.

The best shape i was ever in was when i worked midnights, ate whatever i wanted for 4 hours a night like pizza, mcdonalds, pop, chips, chicken wings etc, and i had abs. I stopped because people were telling me it would mess up my body eventually.

I feel overtrained rn because its been awhile since I ran so hard. Is fasting or omad advisable for my recovery day tmrw if I'm not used to either?

Fasting helps your digestive system (a big part of your nervous system) recover. Not muscles, they need resources. Just stop straining yourself, relax, move but don't exert effort, be patient.

Just weighed myself this morning after exactly eight weeks of dieting with no exercise other than long, fast-paced walks three or four times a week. I lost 34 lbs eating mostly meat, and occasionally cheese and eggs, for one meal a day. I've been drinking water and black coffee only. I'm a 6'4", 41 year old guy who went from 269 lbs to just under 235 lbs. I did a 48 hour and a 60 hour water fast as well during that time. I definitely could have dropped an additional ten plus pounds if I hadn't taken three or four cheat periods, one of which lasted five days. Although, I stood strong nearly every single day with the one meal a day fasting program. I generally feel so much better! I'm lghter on my feet with a clearer mind, better emotional regulation, and patience. Now I need to get going on the exercise element in order to really turn things around.

I am full carnivore, for over 9 months, but I find it too hard to eat only one meal a day (OMAD). I can't get enough calories that way. I usually do two meals a day.

Tried it and it works when you have an "off day" or not a too busy day...but when I train hard, work hard and have other obligations,I have to have 1 very small meal around noon and a big one in the evening... and yes, I have to have complex carbs like potatoes or even rice with a lot of vegetables, meat and some good oils like olive oil or pumpkin seed oil etc.... because it's one big meal and I have to make it rich and nutritious..

    • @coguglielmi
      @coguglielmi 2 года назад

No, you don't have to, you just believe so. Fatty meat, eggs contain a lot more energy than complex carbs. Carbs are stored away as fat by your body and cannot be utilised as energy, only a fraction may. While fat you ingest isn't stored on your belly handles or elsewhere, it is usable immediately. No cravings like with carbs, better mind clarity and sustained energy. Check Dr Berg or Dr Ekberg to get all details and scientific explanations. The latter being a former Olympic decathlonian athlete...

One meal a day for 10-ish years now.
Every once in a while, maybe a couple times per month, 2 meals in a day. Rarely, usually only during the holidays, will I eat 3 meals in one day.
3 meals in one day feels insane to me now. No wonder so many people are fatasses! Your body isn't even done digesting your last meal, and you're already piling more food into your stomach. It takes at least 8-12 hours for food to pass through the digestive tract.

He's right about the carnivore diet sounding goofy. I heard Jordan Peterson talking about it on Joe Rogan. I needed to lose some weight and I had been trying everything and nothing worked. And I really like meat, so I decided to try it. My wife refused to go along so I had to keep cooking her vegetables even though I didn't eat them. I started on my birthday in February 2021. I'm 64 years old, 6'3" and I weigh 275 lb. In 6 months, I was down to 225, and I've never felt better in my whole life. So many lifelong nagging medical problems I had just vanished, like irritable bowel syndrome and joint pain. At that point I did start cheating a little bit drinking a glass of wine here and there maybe a piece of chocolate every once in a while, but I weighed 223 this morning, a year and a half after I started. I will admit to anyone that it sounds goofy, but it sure did, and does, work for me.

You would have got the same response if you ate green vegetables, nuts, avocado, fish, meat and small amounts of fruit.
One of the keys to the meat only diet is that you will eat less calories and feel full and the same can be achieved with green veg that has very low calories.
Japan eats large amounts of fish, green veg and moderate to medium amounts of rice and they have a very healthy profile.
Iceland that eats lots of Fish, mutton, pork and Potatoes and greens (imports and home grown) has a similar health outlook.
It is the high carbohydrate diet that causes many people to become insulin resistant and it causes so many diseases.
Try green shakes with avocado that is rich in fat and low in carbohydrates. Lemons as in the juice is amazing at keeping away gout and kidney stones.
Check out the youtube channel by Dr Berg.

I love dark chocolate, but I buy the 86% cocoa ones. They are so bitter it is impossible to eat more than 2-3 pieces.
