Dielo - If You Dream Of Me.
"Dielo '81" was the last album of Dielo, one of the most important Georgian bands of Soviet times. They started out in 1962 and released more than 10 LPs. Quality of their music was far from stable, so, some works were clearly better than others. But in my view, this disc is arguably their best, most cohesive and very warmly nostalgic. It features a range of approaches, but is mostly focused on blues-rock, jazz and funk. Apart from that, couple of slow, beautiful ballads are a special treat. All in all, this was very worthy swansong for Dielo.
This song was and still is very popular in Georgia. This is its original and arguably the best version ever recorded.
