Very well done video of my favorite places to ride. I live 650 miles from Cuyuna but we make 4-5 trips a season to the area. Its nice to see that you didnt take any poacher or sniper lines on the trail like other video clowns do.
I've been spending quite a bit of time up there the last 7 years or so since my sister and her family opened the Cuyuna Brewery in town. It's a great place to bike, fish, and drink beer!
Great vid! Man I can't believe I've never heard of Cuyuna. Lived in MN long enough I thought I'd at least heard of most things but not this. Mtb is so rewarding or at least interest in mtb as I haven't really done any mtb since I was a kid. Can't wait for spring to actually get out there and ride. But for now I'm very content to get out and ride snowboard. Will be sad when snowboard season ends but equally excited for mtb season to start! Very well done vid thanks 🙏
Hey enjoyed it. I moved away to Colorado before this all blew up...just moved back last September and finally hitting up Cuyuna this Friday. I have come back every year for the Lutsen 99er...but haven't had the time to hit up Cuyuna. Appreciated the info and I'm ready to shred the gnar! A lot of people have told me of tire flats nonrepairable trailside ...so fingers crossed. If so, the recommendation of Red Raven was key...not gonna let a slash end the day! Anyone in the Maple Grove area looking for a good group to ride with...hit me up.
You will enjoy it, great area for sure! I’m looking to ride Jackpot by Lutsen yet this year, supposed to be an amazing Northshore trail. 🤘 Thanks for watching!
Well there are a bunch of them scattered around the entire metro area. Most are in large park reserves. None of them are spectacular but some are pretty darn good!
@@robonbikes just seemed odd to me cuz there didn't appear to be much in the way of elevation or hills in that area. I def haven't extensively traveled the city though to maybe I just haven't seen where the more interesting geography is
@@robonbikes Thanks Rob appreciate the reply. I plan to come up in June - I am in SA Texas and it gets hot been hawking Cuyuna for three years. Going to do a I35 North MTB.
lol the parking lot comments about the tires were great
Thanks ha ha! Gotta love those red tires!
"wassthat? Oh these red tires? Yeah I rode Cuyuna last week it was SICK"
lmao that was sick lol😅
2 years ago i hit up the Red Raven in May. Such a excellent place for your MTB needs. Such a hot weekend too
They have a heck of a Reuben!
Ngl, I watched your video cause I was thinking of hitting Cuyuna up this weekend lol
Very good review.
Thank you!
Nice video!

Awesome that you’re able to get there so often from that distance!

Sure is a great place! Love that brewery! I think they also donate to the trails, so love that too!
This is such a fresh look at Cuyuna. We love the riding and the area--it feels like home. Thanks
Thank you!! It’s a great place for sure!
You should send this to the Red Raven. They would love it! Great video, Rob.
Thanks Connie!
Very cool video, Rob.
Thank you!!!

I wanted to share
SHAD LIFE on RUclips
Very inspirational for us older mountain bikers
Thanks Mark, appreciate you tuning in! Took a quick peek at SHAD LIFE and I’ll definitely be checking that out! 🤘

Thanks!

this video is pretty sicccc
Thanks Yeng! Glad you liked it, Cuyuna is a great place!
This was a ten out of ten, bro.
Thanks!
Weird there's trails near Minneapolis. What are they like?

What is the closest RV park to the trails that will accomodate a 34 foot RV in Cuyuna?
Portsmouth Campground is right in the middle of all the trails. Not sure what it will accommodate as far as RV’s go…

If time allows, I’d recommend taking I-35 all the way to the end and riding in Duluth. Duluth has miles and miles of world class MTB trails! Have fun!
Haha, my tires are still red about 200 miles after riding cayuna
I just rode Redhead in Chisholm and mine are the same way! 😂
I guess the scenery wasn't worth mentioning.
