- There is one thing that seems to remain true no matter what. The only way to improve yourself is to push beyond your comfort level. When pushing your comfort zone it can be scary but, when you take the time to remind yourself that you can do anything it gets a bit easier. Riding with my friend Kenny is a always a good time and is always fun to see us both of riding things that push our skills. The trails that we rode that day are some of Cuyuna's newest additions. Drawpoint, Sinter, and Sledgehammer well we technically didn't ride it but we will in the near future. The new trails are a welcoming sight to the system and I believe this will get more riders out here to not only have a great time but also push their comfort level and have progression! As always thanks for tuning in and I'll see you on the next trail!
**When shooting the video I miss named Sinter as Sinister. I realized this after the fact and had to add in a few edits to point out this mistake...Whoops!

Nice work as always. Cayuna looks awesome and you rode great! Don’t be too hard on yourself.
I appreciate that! Cuyuna continues to improve every year! If you ever get the chance to head up to Minnesota let me know!
So happy this trail exists. Nice riding!
Nice Man! Enjoyed this one! You are not alone.... I was feeling the exact same way when I was up there last week and did the exact same thing on the 1st 2 runs. Booters where supper steep and push the comfort lever. I was so anxious I forgot to turn the camera on even.... Way to go back and kill it! Your progression has been on point!! Keep shredding!
Great video, love to see more “real world” risk vs reward talk on mtb videos. All these other channels make me feel like there’s something wrong with me for not sending it on every feature.
Quite the transparent intro, I like it. Once you know your ability is there, sometimes all it takes on an "off" day or one with that little apprehension, is a tow in (if/when it's available). I'm hearing a lot and seeing a lot of vids of the "good" stuff up there, and I also need to get out of my comfort zone, staying in the metro, and get my rear end up there. That looks like the stuff I've been looking for!!🤘
In other news, discretion goes a long way, and will definitely allow greater longevity on the bike.👍
Nice job! I haven't hit Sinter yet. I was going to ride it last time I was up there and instead decided to ride Sledgehammer. I thought lets see the harder trail first, that trail is insane and I didn't find it to enjoyable. The consequences vs. reward I didn't think were worth it. I wish they would have made some of the drops so you could progress on them instead of just launching yourself onto and over big rocks. I know I am capable of the features but even so, things don't always go smoothly and at 50 I find myself not wanting to take the risk, and I get frustrated and upset. Thanks for showing your struggle and progression. My background is in BMX and freestyle halfpipe riding, so I love to jump but it's hard getting older and having injuries. I just want to fly...haha. cool video.
Ride on \m/
Hey man, nice work. Fear is the mind killer. You're riding great so keep it up.
Thanks Brian!!
Nice video, nice biking.
Right on dude! All those lips are crazy booters! The rock drop is super chill it just looks intimidating, you definitely got it. I never got a chance to ride Sledgehammer though. It rained the first day I got up there and then just ran out of time the next day. Would be cool to meet up there and figure it out together, little collab vid?!
Thanks man🤘🤘yeah when I look at features they freak me out instead of just doing a run up and sending it or being towed in. Absolutely we will have to figure out a day to do a collab!
Great work with the editing and content. It paid off with quality well above the average POV. Inspiring seeing the progression as you rode the trail more.
Looks like I need to progress my jump game to do that trail justice.
Great vid and edit. I appreciate you talking us through where your head was at during the ride. This is also great for this of us preparing to ride the new trails.
Nice scenic shots too. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! It was great to do something different and dive into a meaningful topic! Thanks for watching!
You
Deserve way more than 800 subs
I appreciate that!🤙🤘
Greatest moment and lowest moment in Duluth. Story of my life XD.
Yes, Duluth can be one of those places!
Nice!! 👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Appreciate that and thanks for watching🤙🤙
Nice video! MTB can be such a mental game.
Thank you! Yes the mental game is always a difficult thing to deal with especially riding things that scare me
"My front brake died..." Sounds like its time to upgrade to TRPs!
Haha yeah I mean my XT's lasted just around 4 years not a bad run. Might take a look at them!
So awesome
Thank you!!!
Nice video and information, I believe the trail you were riding is Sinter not Sinister.
Yeah I put in the video that I miss named the trail Sinter🤣 only realized this after the fact I edited this video
