My favorite duet of all time and thats saying something. And the dulcet tones of George Michael oh my! And the respect with which he introduce Elton John. You're right, George was a big fan of Elton since childhood.
It is amazing.George had done a cover of the song, which is Eltons song, and was performing it live and Elton's appearance was unexpected. A very cool moment in music history.
I've been a fan of George's for ever. I've heard many of his interviews throughout his career. It was always his dream to sing with Aretha, which he did. It fulfilled one of his childhood dreams. He was a massive fan of Queen and Elton His idols were always Stevie Wonder and Aretha. He performed with Stevie at the Apollo and was voted the best Blue Eyed soul singer that graced that stage. Check out some of those Duets including two most recent with Mary J Blige and Whitney Houston before she passed. He had amazing Duets through his lifetime. I most especially love the duet he did with Ray Charles. Brings tears to my eyes.
I am so sorry you never had the opportunity. I will never forget his life performances. Such charisma such sex appeal such a connection he had with his audience. Most of all, that voice that luscious beautiful velvety voice! He was definitely a sight to behold.
Haven't met any of my idols yet. Freddie would definitely be one, and that's kind of impossible. I have idols in different categories. Musical, painters, political figures, etc.....George Michael was another one of those guys that was gone too soon. I loved his voice, so golden, silky smooth, sexy. Very sad story.
Amazing duet from possibly the two most well known voices in the business....however...what makes it for me is the band and backing singers....they we so tight and so on point...thanks for the reaction
This is the first time Elton John performed after he came out of rehab. If you get a chance to watch the movie Rocketman it's a great biography about Elton John
The word iconic is overused, but it's totally warranted in this instance. This performance took on a whole different meaning for a lot of gay men I knew too - Just such a special few moments.
i can sing my late son was singing tis song very well in a pub got to the part in the song and said ladies and gentleman y dad still brings ears to my eyes
George’s material only got better and better. But George would never be silenced like they wanted him to! That’s why the paparazzi and press wouldn’t leave him alone. . But he definitely sung about the corruption in filtrated and connected throughout the world. Hand to Mouth ( first version, Re-record of remaster is good also) , Through, and most of all Patience!!! , I would suggest judge Ning yo the last two live at the Palais Garnier Opera House. Papa Was A Rolling Stone , Amazing, Easier Affair,
I am not from the UK and give major credit to the amazing talent out of the UK. The UK is one of my favorite places to visit, but I was also part of the "80's British invasion" growing up. I Iistened to more music out of the UK than the US. So may great artist have come from the UK...Yes these two are included.
Hey faith its ken so you got to george Michael's here's one he did 1984 so good its call careless whisper the heart he puts into the song is phenomenal back then it was my absolute favorite song the vocals wow it's better than this song with Elton and that's a bold statement but true I'm still here with and for ya still my # one be safe and feel better keeping an eye on you ken D
Nothing like Elton’s Don’t Let The Sun go Down. Bernie and Elton some kind of team. Maybe Try Elton doing the song. Have you ever heard Elton’s Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Lots of great cut from his LP Captain Fantastic. Nobody reviews these songs. My favorite LP from Elton.

We lost an amazing talent when we lost George Michael. I've been a fan since he first started with Wham.
This performance still gives me chills. Amazing

Wish I'd seen him in concert, such a great (live) singer and songwriter.

Oh George Michael was definitely a fan of Sir Elton John. He was his second most covered artist behind Stevie Wonder
because I love this song and video so much that I managed to get through the 5 minutes of ridiculously inane chatter at the beginning!
Off Tap Life George Michael was 11 years old when Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote this song.
Such an epic performance!
George Michael also did a song with Aretha Franklin!!
Hey, try 'Killer/Papa was a....' totally excellent
The word iconic is overused, but it's totally warranted in this instance. This performance took on a whole different meaning for a lot of gay men I knew too - Just such a special few moments.

Substitute for peanut butter is Nutella or apple butter
George was a great performer, but your only as good as your material. Elton and Bernie, what a song writing team.
