Here's to almost an entire year of My Soul Your Beats disappearing. Their website is down and they don't post on any of their social medias... I worry about their life. I hope the reason they left was for the betterment of their mental health and life. I hope that nothing bad fell upon them.. I'm never angry when people disappear, only concerned for the reasons they needed to.
Tony, what ever is happening, I desperately hope that you are doing well.
What? Oh no! I really enjoy the music promoted on this channel. Hope he gets back and gets better.
~“It’s been almost 3 years since high school graduation, huh?…”
~The thought just kept running through my head as I look through the window of the train, having a heartwarming view as a tinge of twilight shone over my hometown.
~As it was coming to my stop, another thought came to mind. I chuckled,
~“I haven’t been in contact with my friend for a long while. Not after we parted ways for our future careers and I’ve been so busy with school, I guess I didn’t give the time for anything else.”
~I slight stab of guilt hit me as I was getting off the train and walking towards my home.
~My family gave me a loving welcome when I got home. Drinking with my dad, helping mom cook, playing with my little siblings, and just having a nice family dinner, we had such good laughs…
~And yet… I somehow felt empty and sad, and I didn’t know why…
~Feeling like I needed a breather after dinner, I told my parents I was going to go on a night walk.
~As I was walking, the memories began flooding back to me as my mind wandered and I somehow unconsciously ended up in the one place that was my and my friend’s best place to just be us.
~“I can’t believe I’m back here…” I said, giving a soft smile. “The secret place.” Letting out a slow sigh.
~It was a clear night sky, with the moon and stars shining over and reflecting over the small rippled waters, the fireflies dancing all around the grass and trees.
~I sat down just gazing, being lost in nostalgia with the best memories of my life, and then being reminded of the guilt of how I wasted a portion of my life instead of being with the one person who showed me joy in living it.
~As tears were falling down my cheek, a familiar voice spoke beside me with their hand placed on my shoulder,
*~“Don’t beat yourself up. You look uglier when you cry.”*
~I looked up and saw my friend looking back at me with a big smile, sharing a peace sign.
~“I’m not crying, you’re crying.” I said trying to act cool but feeling quite shocked that my friend was actually here.
*~My friend laughed and retorted, “Well, I am not as embarrassing looking as you, haha!”*
~“Well, at least I have a better personality than you!”
*~“OOF! I think that just broke my heart…”*
We glared at each other for a second, but we couldn’t help but have a good laugh after that.
~In the moment of silence, as we were gazing at the enchanting view, my friend placed their arm across my shoulder and spoke to me with a calm expression,
*~“You know, I will always be there for you… to the end.”*
~And there my heavy guilt had turned into breathtaking relief.
~I put my arm across my friend’s shoulders and responded,
~“I have no doubt about that,” I said, “but that’s pretty cringy.”
*~“Ughh, I’m trying to help with your mood here!” My friend said in a sarcastic annoyed tone.*
~We laughed once more in the radiant starry night and then I told my friend,
~“So let’s do it… to the end.”
*~“To the end.”*
*FIN*
AND FINALLY... THIS STORY HAS COME TO AN END!
It took me a year to come to the decision to submit this on this channel. It was a very bittersweet when I wrote this, but I think this is time to share the conclusion of this story to a bittersweet ending of my acquaintance, My Soul Your Beats. As this is the last writing I will ever do on this channel, thank you guys for always supporting me and My Soul throughout the years. I appreciate you all and hopefully you will still see me around.
