The DGT Centaur and Millennium King Performance are two of the strongest electronic chessboards around. Centaur is known for its e-ink display and super strong engine. The Millennium King Performance chess computer has a wooden frame and pieces. It uses 81 LEDs to show the moves. It can also play Chess960. It has opening moves from Haircs.

I played these two chess computers against each other, 10 games, at roughly 30 seconds/move. DGT Centaur scored 9.0/10.0.
Centaur is close to 3000 ELO in rating. The other one is 2450 ELO max. I am not surprised. To truly test Centaur, I play it against Hiarcs or Chess Tiger. It's a much better contest. :)
Of course. The Centaur has Stockfish built-in. The King has a different but excellent program which is more than strong enough for 99% of players. Where the King shines is in its playing options and variety and elo range, from beginner to very advanced.

@@ChristosT520 what level were you using? I had it against DGT Pi Stockfish and it got a bunch of draws. I did use it against Hiarcs, and it was 2.5 - 1.5: ruclips.net/video/thDZtDkGwfw/видео.html
@@ChristosT520 I don't know. I think the match was close enough at full strength. It really is back and forth at least when I tried it. I think I have done a total of 12 games and it is like 6.5 5.5. It really is very close based on my experience. But I am using Hiarcs on iPad. It is not the strongest version.
FYI, I have a Millennium King Competition (software version 1.42, plastic version of the King Performance), and on Normal level 7 (avg time 1min/move) it has beaten Lichess Stockfish level 7. It was an interesting battle to the end game, with Lichess (white) failing to block a pawn promotion to a queen.
I don't know if this board has the same firmware, I think it should but I have to check. I was going to get that board but then decided to save money to get Mephisto Phoenix www.chesshouse.com/collections/millennium-chess-computers/products/mephisto-phoenix-by-millennium

Why don't you have one board facing the white pieces and the other board facing the black piece towards the camera
you mean with like two cameras and a split screen or just flip one of the boards? This definitely can be improved. Maybe I will do that in future videos.

Why is the Centaur so slow?
It is set on unlimited time for max performance.

i own a king performance version 1,42 and move 17 he never play bishop f1 b5 i wonder wich level youre k p whas
it's a Blitz mode. I am sure it can perform higher with more time. What level are you using?

@@pierrebelanger8899 what's the average response time? I can try but if the game lasts hours, it's not good on video :)
@@Gadgetify The Normal levels range from 1 second on Normal level 0, to 3 minutes on Normal level 9.

Why didn't the white king take the white queen on d1 near the end of the game? He took the rook?? Am I missing something?
Yes. Nb2+ forced Kxc2 ... Then d1=Q+ .. The d1Q is obviously protected by the Knight on b2
Leave a time stamp. The white king can not take the white queen because they are on the same side :)

Millenium sucks. It's an old technology.
True perhaps, but it seems faster in response, which might be more interesting to mere mortal chess players out there (ie. who are not a GM playing at max difficulty).
