I have a doubt.. After removing shoulder dart.. Armhole depth is increased.. What can we do to keep the armhole with correct measurement?

ekta jaiswal Are you talking about the Back shoulder dart? If so, I would just adjust the ease on the sleeve. But since you want to keep the armhole measurement, do NOT transfer the dart into the armhole, but extend the should line from the neck/should the length of the shoulder measurement. OR you can transfer the dart into the neckline and have a dart there, depending on your design. You see this in vintage garments in jackets and such.

What you might do is (and I am just going by what I recently learned myself and am no expert) say the extra is 1/2" extra on the armhole after closing the back dart - you have just lengthened the armhole by 1/2" what you could do is raise the underarm seam by 1/2" and then true the lines, thus keeping seam line same length. Ideas on this method PandemicApparel? BTW this is a FAB tutorial. There are 100's showing how to close darts on the front bodice but this was the only one I could find re closing shoulder dart on back bodice. Most "fitting shell" patterns (eg Vogue's) have this back shoulder dart and I found it difficult to close it smoothly. So few garments I want to make have this dart and it is a right pain in the bottom!
