That is exactly what I wanted to say. I have watched this over and over, and it only gets better the more I watch it. That car, in that specification, with that sound, honestly I can't think of a better specced Boxter than that. Watching it drive round these beautiful sceneries is, in my mind, the perfect combination. Add to that the dramatic but astounding music, and you've got indeed one of the best driving adventure clips ever put to film. Keep up the good work Evo, and Henry, thanks for this amazing piece of artistic footage.
I watched this video when it first came out and I fell instantly in love with the 981...now I finally have one. Even on video...the howl of the flat six still gives me the tingles..

Back in 2007 I was working in pollença, we used to drive out to cap formentor after clubbing in my mates Clio sport to watch the sun come up. Great times
I just come back from Mayorca. If you don't have enough money to rent a Porsche, I highly recommend a Mazda MX-5 (from 65€ per day). For me, driving this little toy on twisty roads of Mayorca was one of the best moments in my life. Best vacation destination for a petrolhead :)
being 19 years old, i cant even rent a mx5 here. going to drive these roads in a fiat 500. hopefully i'll get the twinair turbo 875cc 2 cyl for the sound alone 😅

+Augusto Ortiz I was actually the biggest Porsche-fan ever. I test-drove a Boxster. I don't know If it was Boxster S or just Boxster. It was okay. Afterwards I drove a Audi TT 2015 and I can honestly say it was way more fun :D
+Keyvan - not a chance in hell, i have driven SLK's and TT's, they both feel numb next to a boxster, perhaps more comfortable but not even in the same class when it comes to cornering and sports car feel
The brand new TT is something else. But yea the Porsche gave me more looks 😀 and I'm pretty sure it would beat Slk and TT on a track. But I tested them on a normal road, highway, city etc

As the others below, I have watched this video numerous times. I have also owned a Boxster GTS similar to the one in this video. Both are really great. I keep thinking that these EVO videos were really a highpoint of this genre. Thankfully, Catchpole is still working his magic.
I wouldn´t have believed that the Boxster with sports exhaust sounds so glorious, very close to Ferrari´s V8s actually. Absolute amazing video, shots, mood, music...a much more complete approach to the topic than the TopGear story of some years ago. Driving heaven!

The ending suggests to you that the otherworldly imagery of the surroundings is matched only by the haunting sound of this automobile. A sound so animalistic, it almost feels like it is leaving us at the end to return to its home in the wilds of Mallorca. Brilliant.

Beautiful video. I have been to Mallorca several times but never drove on a road like that. I have a 2022 Porsche Boxster GTS on order for delivery in November. It is Carmine Red with Chalk white leather seats. I love watching this video of what will soon be a similar car that I will own. I ordered the PDK and almost every other option, Thanks.

10 years ago I watched this when it came out and it inspired me to buy my first porsche. Today I have 2, one of which is a GTS. This video, just like the cars, only get better with age.

Two days ago we woke up at 5am in Palma and drove over there in a 911 Carrera Cabriolet (and yes cab is the way to go to hear all the sounds of nature and your sporty car engine sound reverberating against the cliffs). Goats and sheep were the only obstacles. Zero cars or bikes that early. Watched the sunrise at Cap de Formentor with a small crowd then quickly headed down to MA-10 over to Sa Calobra. By the way that early morning MA-10 cutover to Sa Calobra is spectacular in itself if you like speed and long stretches of acceleration. The MA-2141 (road to SC) was also quite empty when we arrived about 7:30am (maybe 1-2 cars in the way but they yielded quickly). Drove down to the bottom and walked over to Torrent de Pareis for a beach rest with my new friend for an hour or so. Empty beach, hearing only waves hitting the sand nothing else. When we decided to go I handed her the keys to drive back up Sa Calobra then all the way back down MA-10 to Andratx (she was overwhelmed). Needless to say, we found our mutual passion for driving together that day.

I have just arrived back from these roads.. I was driving a new X3 2.0d. Sadly it wasnt very fast and understeers very easily, but my God these roads ar perfect.. Drove on both roads twice.. Promised my self to come here with a proper car one day. Thanks a lot EVO for making my holiday amazing!!
