    When afterburner engages the rear nozzle should increase in diameter to prevent back pressure going into the turbine. Also only engage afterburner at 95% rpm and up to prevent this even more. At lower Mass air flow the efficiency will be dramatic. Almost there good luck.

    Dang, same day as the teaser on JATO?! You beautifully efficient devil, you!

    Hi friend.
    You're building a new little engine?
    I'm almost finished with the mass production model now.
    I look forward to a fun video. I'm planning to install it on a quad bike.

    Looks awesome! Good job on this afterburner. Do you have plans for a twin tube design that could withstand more heat without damage?

    • @Praendy
      @Praendy  Год назад +3

      Hi,
      no, in this case I will try a single tubing.
      Upgrading is no problem.
      Do you have plans?

      @@Praendy Hi, I hope to build a turbocharger based engine over the next year. I'm still researching and gathering parts right now.
      Have you seen the Tech Ingredients channel? He has a very informative video on the twin tube afterburner design:
      ruclips.net/video/EP4Hf63zR6w/видео.html
      Essentially, airflow between the inner and outer tubes cools the inner tube which contains the combustion. Furthermore, due to the geometry, the inside tube helps mix the air and fuel for efficient combustion and expansion of the gases.
      I really like your channel, look forward to further videos.
      Cheers!

      Your afterburner is realistic with a roar of an actual afterburner. No need of LED bulbs to emulate a burner. Is there increase of thrust too?

    • @Praendy
      @Praendy  Год назад +3

      Hi,
      Yes there is more thrust than without burner.
      I have to try, how much😊

    Hi,
    Could you share the ideas on how have you made the afterburner for such small engine?
    Do you have any models or drawings that you used or made?
    Regards,

    I like the compressed air start method. Is it viable for larger turbines?

    • @Praendy
      @Praendy  Год назад +2

      Hi,
      Its the best method, to start a jet engine but you need a compressor, or an air tank. (Scuba tank)
      Andy

    • @Yaivenov
      @Yaivenov Год назад

      @@Praendy is the compressed air start shown and explained in any of your other videos? I'm curious how it is placed inside the engine.
      Edit: also what pressure and rate is being used? I am curious if an air brush pump could accomplish it.

    • @Praendy
      @Praendy  Год назад +1

      @@Yaivenov the air start is not shown in one of my videos, but its very simple.
      Its only a small hole in a certain angle and is located in the air intake.
      The compressed air is directed onto the compressor wheel outer diameter.
      An air brush compressor is not able to do the job.

    Krass, wie hast du die Turbine gebaut? Hattest du Formeln für Treibstofffluss, Brennkammervolumen etc. oder hast du einfach mal angefangen bis es klappt?😅

    • @Praendy
      @Praendy  Год назад +2

      Hi,
      Die Turbine ist nicht selber gebaut.
      Sie ist von der holländischen Firma AMT.
      Ich habe nur die fehlenden Teile ersetzt und sie wieder zum Leben erweckt.

    This can never be put into a model plane. There is no material suitable for the heat and at the same time light enough for toy planes. Its moot
