Gas is really dry now a days ive installed countless systems and have pulled many drip legs off i can only think of 2 legs that had some liquid inside. Maybe its different in your area? Im around dc
TBH its code out here I see systems that have been installed for decades with 0 issues. 90% of the furnaces are in the attic so chances of anyting reaching them probably slim to none...Just have to let the customer know it's up to them.
