I've got an American Bull dog. This is the third one that I have owned. They ALL have that stubborn streak! They are very food motivated though, so that helped a little. The thing I worked on the most is recall with my dogs. As hard as it was, I NEVER call them to me to punish them. If I need to discipline them, I go to where they are and get them. The "come" command has only good connotations for them with me...Food or love. That worked well. They eventually came to listen to ME like Marines, but my wife was a different story....
Your comment was very valuable to me. Thank you. I just got a 2 mo pitbull puppy 2 weeks ago. The most defiant, headstrong, look at you like, "TF you think? I'm standing right here. I'm 55 and have had German shepherds, Great Danes, Labradors, on down to Shih tzus, Basset hounds, beagles, shar-peis, dalmatians, and lhasa apsos. I've been able to train my new pitbull , Nala, to come, stop, sit, go back, etcetera. The only problem I have now is recall. Of course, she has no choice if I have her on the leash. When I say come, she'll come because she knows what I'm saying. If she's not on that leash though, she looks at you like you're stupid and I dare you to come get me.

I don’t think you ever need a pronged collar. My Presa mix, alpha of his litter, was/is super hardheaded but now does everything I say/signal, walks without leash, everything. Proper treat training(you start with a treat, petting, and excitement every time. You quickly begin to reduce treats given until zero but always have one and be consistent with the petting and excitement) and good timely 2 finger poke to the ribs with your choice of word from when they’re a puppy. After months of consistency no more poke and the word has the same effect. Main thing is to never let them do something as a puppy because it’s cute or innocent that you don’t want them to do as a big ass dog. He doesn’t seem to be using it wrong but it can easily be misused and like he said when it’s removed they think freedom sometimes. I got mind control over mine.

I just got a grown male xl bully and I’ve been bit two times but I’m trying to be patience and put in time but I’m doing something wrong. Do you have any advice?
It’s funny how you don’t have to tell him twice to bite something, probably because it’s rewarding for him to do what he naturally wants to do, and to tell him to lay down it’s like telling a kid to go to bed at noon. Lol
I'm having trouble keeping with my year old Mali. She real hard headed and i hate putting her basket on. Great advice but it's still a joke. More advice on a Mali would be great. Thank you.
I got a 5 month old Pit and I decided to not do any physical discipline on her. She is Definitely spoiled bc I let her get away with a lot of stuff. Funny thing is, I know she understands my commands. She is just choosing to ignore me. 😄 (Just like he said). In the past I would foolishly hit my dogs but now, after dealing with so many "dog dumb" @$$ human beings, I know that that is just abuse. If you shower your dog with affection and attention on the regular, then your tone of voice, your vibe and your depriving them of pets and attention is enough discipline. (Pushing the meal or snack time back a little bit can also work on stubborn dogs as long as you communicate what you're dissatisfied with right before you send them on their way without a bite - DON'T starve them) The main reason I don't do physical discipline is bc I don't want to shake her confidence and teach her defeat. I also, don't want to betray her trust. Respect is good but trust is everything and certain moments can make a relationship irreparable. I Love my lil b.

We have 2 American bullys that are now 6 months, and our male is gets distracted easy but tries to he a good boy, the female is hard headed but pays more attention
My 11 month old did so well when he was 6-8 months, after that, he act like he cant listen. Do positive reinforcement with treats, but he loses focus easily. I'm a try this collar technique now.
it's a pit they are untrainable. They attack their owners. Do you know know anything???
No longer have nipping problems, I just want to know how to get rid of his prey response around cats or if that’s possible at all. Chestnut a pocket bully that I’m training/pet sitting
i like how you explain this thank
good info...and you a funny dude🤣🤣🤣
Keep making the bully breed better brother 💪
How's he making it better? Did u not hear him say some bs that ambullies don't have good focus skills😅🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's exactly how my Grady is. He's only 3 1/2 months. He is a trainable puppy, but after a while, he gets defiant and vocal. I admit that when he gets " mouthy," it's kind of funny, and I'll laugh. Probably sending mixed emotions.
You can only do so much til you lose attention. 5- 15 mins
Love your Chanel man
Which collar to use when starting to train a American bully puppy?
How long have you been working on him? Age ? Background?
Excellent Video 💯✔️✔️
Had Rottweilers when I was younger, then got all into the true APBT for a good while.. LOVE & RESPECT what that breed is all about…
Purchased my 1st American Bully with heavy APBT influence… he’s 14 weeks … and I’m all about it!!
Appreciate what ya do 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Solid video bro !!
I think the dog gives respect with eye contact. He’s not hard headed. He’s just not yet fully understood or figured out what you were saying.
I have an American staffshire terrier and she knows what I’m asking of her but she just don’t want to. She test me like a lil child will do it’s mother, she listens to my husband more than she would to me. Any advice cause she’s my pup she just turned 1

Please? And thank you
What type of toys are you using my gsd baby is eating through everything except kongs 😂 I need a tougher rope for him
Bless up❤

Can you mix a brindle pitbull with a Merle pitbull
Best looking bullies hands down. My next bully will come from you..... Hopefully
It’s funny how you don’t have to tell him twice to bite something, probably because it’s rewarding for him to do what he naturally wants to do, and to tell him to lay down it’s like telling a kid to go to bed at noon. Lol
The dog is thinking: "Oh well, I guess I have to at least pretend to be obedient to this human if I want a treat (sigh)."
Lol 👍
Of course biting to kill is their trait.

@@blackmask494 nah way dude! Spreading the truth about this dangerous breed is needed to stop the daily attacks!!
Wont a choke chain work better ?
Is the collar better than the harness?
(Pushing the meal or snack time back a little bit can also work on stubborn dogs as long as you communicate what you're dissatisfied with right before you send them on their way without a bite - DON'T starve them)
The main reason I don't do physical discipline is bc I don't want to shake her confidence and teach her defeat. I also, don't want to betray her trust. Respect is good but trust is everything and certain moments can make a relationship irreparable.
I Love my lil b.
Love conquers all.
Bro, what kind of leash/ collar you recommend?
Using the right tools and not so much luring would help

i got a female husky who is too smart for her own good and so hard headed. im thinking about professional training cause i just dont have the patience bruh. shes a really sweet and friendly dog. i can have her off leash where ever and she'll come to me but asking her to do stuff when she doesn't want to do it like *sit* or *down* or *stay* is impossible for me. really sucks cause i know her breed is much more capable of what im getting out of her.
you duh doofuuses get pits, mastiff, husky and GS and then wonder why they so hard to train!! These not familiy breeds go get a pointer or lab!!
@@johnnybrist6699 my husky is very family oriented and gets attached to my family/friends after seeing them just once. Speak on what u know clown
@@johnnybrist6699 google will tell you huskies are family animals. U lil bozo

I have a pretty good 11 month old pocket bully my cousins 10 month pocket however just bit my sons cheek and won’t stop nipping at any kid who comes to her house and her own kid (she’s 10 my son is 6) I try and watch these videos and ceaser millian (don’t know spelling) as much as possible I have been working with my boy since the day I got him (at 12 weeks) my cousin on the other hand gave that responsibility to her older dog which is a Doberman/sheppard and the younger dog (her pocket) is just so bad! And it’s all laziness on my cousins behalf.
What brand of dog collar do you use?
First time bully owner i need your help
Great content brother
