    I've taught myself as I worked in car audio electronics in my own business. Things come up and soldering became an important part of my life. As time went on things got smaller and smaller and the work my needed magnification just to see it. So I got reading glasses in various strengths most powerful being 3.25. Next is an electronic microscope. This video is a great starting point for soldering to a circuit board. You're A good teacher.

    THANK YOU! for your time in making this video. I have a Kenmore vacuum, that needed a wand release tab replaced. Which I got done. But not knowing what I am doing to re-assemble, one wire to the circuit board came off. That control the carpet part to work. I have had a solder iron for years, due to model trains, but never got the concept on how to solder, as you explain it very well in short time. So I did get the wire back on, but then another wire came off, in the process of re-assemble. Got that back on too! Vacuum works get. The release tab will break in time, again, as I got 2 tabs, so the vacuum lives. MM.

    My dad unknowingly bought a mini tesla coil kit, handed it to me and said have at it. Ive always been overwhelmed when looking at circuitboards but I love learning how things work. Almost 30 years old and building that thing and seeing it work with zero instructions was so much fun I wish I had more to build, now that I have an understanding on circuitboards im hooked on learning 😂 saudering is super satisfying.

    The solder doesn’t melt on the board. Instead it sticks to the wire. If I leave it on the board and put pressure; the metal part of the board would come off. Any advice?

    • @jasoningram2006
      @jasoningram2006 7 месяцев назад

      Use flux paste. You can think of it as a river. The flux paste is your riverbank it controls where the water is going to go aka the solder. Solder is attracted to heat. It will follow the heat wherever it goes so if you heat up the metal on the board the solder will follow and attract itself to that place of heat on that board thus sticking to it. If you heat the wire up it's going to stick to the wire you have to heat the board then the wire then the solder. Just remember solder always goes to where the heat is. Just think of it as your daughter's a gold digging woman and your heat gun is the richest man on earth.

    • @jasoningram2006
      @jasoningram2006 7 месяцев назад +1

      Also I said that kind of wrong because more or less your flux is like a lubricant It just makes everything flow but a lot easier. Solder takes the path of least resistance when you add flux to it It basically heats up the flux and replaces The flux with itself. Oh here's a good example you and your old lady are the copper and the flux. Once you to get heated up suddenly you're a kid burst into the room which is your solder and because you two are all hot and whatnot of course naturally your kids going to follow you around. That's actually a pretty good one.
