Hey, thanks for stopping by! Let me know what kind of tutorials you want to see next, any questions you may have, or even just a comment saying hi. Thanks for watching. 😉
Awesome! Bought FL Studio a long time ago, got pretty good with it, but never finished my projects, then took a big break and forgot everything. You just put everything I needed to remember in 1 video. Really like the technical depth with the octave transition. Cheers. Will check out the rest of your tutorials - Subscribed.

@@TransverseAudio i love it man...thank you so much again..And please do a mix and master tutorial for us i hope some are still stuck in that process man including me...
That pitch shifting one was so cool, i always wondered how those producers done that before hitting the drop, thanks for that one :) I do have a request for video, your scale and chord is amazing and i wanna know more bout scales, i heard bout something called dorian scale and idk if there are more or not, so i hope you make a video on more scales and with the info that which scale is good for this and that genre. (i wanna know if other scales help too in edm or not xD). Have a nice day :), thanks for the tutorials
Hey, thank you as always. I should make more videos on music theory as those are really out-dated (production quality) and I've also learned a lot since then. For now, you might enjoy the blog article I wrote on this which explains it further: transverseaudio.com/posts/what-are-musical-scales
I love how there are dozens of words in this video I don't understand but then you go ahead and explain what an octave is. That's like one thing I didn't need an explanation for 😂All good though, just gave me a good laugh.
You made me clear ,one of the awesome tutorial i have ever seen , thanks, waiting for next video And as a suggestion for videos ,i would wanna saw your video about how to make tension for techno or electronic genre ,cheers 🤙🏻
Thanks for the compliment and suggestion! While it's not a full video on making tension, check out my video on making better drops, there are some tips in there on that.
Dude, your video was insanely helpfull, i am all new to using FL Studio and have already watched a tons of guides, wish i had found you sooner. Although, i dont know if you are making tutorials anyone but if you could not clip out when you do a task. For instance you say "just put it in the patteren" but for me that was tricky since i am making everything in 1 patteren, i didnt know i had to create a new one to insert the raiser (which is now on my patteren #2) But still a great explanation, i now have a raiser effect :D Thanks a lot.
Sweet, thanks. It is difficult sometimes to figure out how to make something without a whole lot of tonality move (aside from rhythm. I'm glad it helped!
Sorry, Cam. I just looked and I don't have it there anymore either. They must have got rid of it in a recent update. Sorry for insisting on it being there!
Thanks for the useful video. I followed the instructions for the white noise riser, but despite the automation clip being created it doesn't actually ever impact the frequency knob. I then realised that the automation clip doesn't 'play' when you're in pattern playback mode - switching to song playback mode resolved my issue :)
Hi, thanks for these easy-to-follow tutorials. I would like like to learn more about sound design with respect to modulation and the tips and tricks it comes with, more importantly, how to control/automate it for the mood we want to set. Thank you. And btw, the in-depth explanations does helps.
e.g; ruclips.net/video/xllG3fSUAOw/видео.html At 0:11, what's going here? Whatever you may show in the tutorial, kindly explain them to their full extent, not for the sake of just explaining them for the beginners (it's a request, not an order or a prerequisite).
Hey, thanks for the feedback! What exactly would you like to know about modulation besides guiding the mood of the sound? Great suggestion, I'm glad you enjoy the videos.
@@TransverseAudio hi, to explain a little better, I would like to learn about different kinds of modulation, like fm and am (the easier ones) and ring and phase (umm), and like how do you discern that I have to use a certain one while making a sound keeping in mind the aforementioned mood of the sound (as you might've guessed by my given example, I'm a film score fanatic and wish to learn about the same, hence the normal electronic style beat making sound design doesn't work much for me, and therefore, the odd nature of my query, and while I'm not looking a strictly play by-the-book guide for sound design for a particular sfx, learning the basics would really help)
Hey, thanks for explaining this further. While I'm no expert in that kind of stuff yet, I might be able to make a video on that in the (hopefully not that distant) future.
Great video! Only problem is when I make an automation clip for a white noise riser, the automation clip covers the whole length of the playlist instead of only the pattern. Any tips on that? Thanks!
It think it will always do that unless you have a loop selected. What you need to do is drag the endpoint and drag it to the length you want. I recommend right-clicking and copying the value so you can paste it back in.
Um, about the first method, it was kind of unclear how to lower only the frequency of the white noise, it just lowered all of it and sounded like it came from the other room, do you have any tips for this?
Are you routing each part to a different mixer track? By separating everything into its own insert, you can apply an EQ exclusively to the white noise. let me know how it goes!
@@TransverseAudio sorry, I'm really new to fl and don't really know what this means? i've put all of my elements in different tracks if that is what you meant
@@SleepyToby In the channel rack (where you see the samples and plugins stacked up with their midi next to them) you will see a number to the left or just - - -. Scroll or click and drag to assign it to a specific mixer track. You would then put the EQ on that mixer insert and not on the master insert (which applies an effect to everything).
Would be helpful to have a newbie tutorial on Adding and using Kontakt 6, the player , their Reactor to FL Studio and using it. Its a lot to digest and no good videos on all that. Hey, thanks for asking. Did you check out the other video I made about installing plugins into FL Studio? ruclips.net/video/6qee2HaRZKQ/видео.html If that didn't help please let me know! You also need to use the Native instruments installer (called "Native Access") to install plugins like Kontakt and Reaktor.
I'm not sure, you should listen to some of the most popular ones and some of the most creative ones and apply what you learned here to try and emulate them. Once you get a feel for it go ahead and try and make your own!
Hey, thanks for asking! With vocals, you can do like vocal chops and make a small pattern that loops while getting faster and pitched up over time. Kind of like the percussion riser but instead of drum samples use vocal ones.
You may have an automation clip present without even knowing it. Go to the File Browser to the left of the DAW, click on Patterns under current project at the top of the menu, then click on initialized controls. Do EDM musicians usually just use 1 synth for 1 song and variate it with FX and EQ filters?
