Fucking original exhaust, its got the minty shield, you must live in cali, you did a good job bro, best of all, you saved some money and you cant trust anyone touching your oil pan or drain plugs, good job!
Nice video, but just so you know, those are nuts and bolts not nuts and screws. Screws don't have nuts on them and you didn't "strip" the nut, you rounded it off. You strip threads, you round off nuts or bolts. Just wanted to let you know.
If you are talking about the EXHAUST MANIFOLD for this car removing the exhaust manifold isn't require. There is a piece of exhaust pipe that you need to remove and when you get this exhaust pipe out of the way you could ignore the exhaust manifold no need to remove it.
It depend on your location. Where I live you would be able to find a lot of shop that charge lower than $837.00. Maybe they are charging you that much because it takes a long time to remove the old gasket from the oil pan? Ask them if you have a new oil pan put in would the price be lower. That price you were given is a lot in my opinion. If I had a shop I would not charge that much.
Welking Vue ... I just got done with oil pan gasket on a B20Z I bought the gasket and stud kit off 'myhondahabit' I am happy with both but ... the problem I had during install was oil was still dripping down from the engine onto the gasket surface in one corner. Even though I used RTV Sealant it has a very small drip (one drip every 3 days) from that corner. I was wondering if you had the same problem of oil dripping down during install affecting your sealant.
I didn't have any problem with oil leak. Have you check to make sure oil is really coming from the corner? It could be coming from elsewhere and end up at the corner, then drip from there. If it's really coming from the corner, I do have some tips for you, but I can't really give cause I'm not there to actually see what's going on.
Not every engine is the same for these Civics, mine is a '99 LX and it called for a liquid gasket instead of rubber one. Look up a repair manual, there is a free one out there for The 6th generation Honda Civics.
Any one changed the oil pan off of a Honda Fit 2006 model. I hit a rock on mine and now its leaking. Seems to be quite a tough job to remove. Nothing seen on the web to help me on.
I just *knew* you couldn't resist going around the top w/ silicone!
Great job explaining the process, very helpful....Thank you
Good vid, thorough as can be. been scared to change mine but I feel I can do it now, seems simple enough. Thanks for the vid keep em coming!
The toughest part is removing the old gasket from the oil pan it was going to take too many hours, so I bought a new oil pan instead.

Good instructions brother Vue
by any chance sis you have any issues with it not lining up perfectly, all but 2 holes on the gasket are lining up perfect. they're just a little off.

Yeah I notice that a while back I messed up by calling them screw.
This is fit for honda city z 2000?
You were able to do this without removing the manifold, in the front? I saw another video that did remove the manifold, to drop the oil pan. Thoughts?
If you are talking about the EXHAUST MANIFOLD for this car removing the exhaust manifold isn't require. There is a piece of exhaust pipe that you need to remove and when you get this exhaust pipe out of the way you could ignore the exhaust manifold no need to remove it.
Thank you very much!
I love this guy.

Big question...Does it still leak?
I don't own the car no more, but I did check and no leak. I don't remember when I checked could be anywhere between 2-4 months ago.

Don't use anything other than 6 point socket/wrenches on rusted fasteners.

Check out a repair manual although some repair manual aren't detail enough, it might help.
Its a bolt not a screw. haha
