If that’s true, it adds another layer to the line “she could go home, but she’s not going to.” Because Julian is FROM Memphis which would mean she drove right by her home to go where she actually would feel whole. She did get her start in the Memphis music scene. Secondly, Graceland Too is not the same place as Graceland. It’s the home of an Elvis super fan that used to be a tourist attraction until someone was unalived on the property and then the owner passed away soon after, and the place was closed down.
i interpret “she could go home, but shes not going to” as a reference to juliens song “go home” where the act of wanting to go home means wanting to go to heaven/die
