so glad I found this video. very helpful. paper instructions might as well have been in hieroglyphics. even still, I would say that this is an advanced diy project. This is a very high quality product, but for the price it could have been made much more user friendly.
We just recently got it installed with soft close, but opening the door is so hard, while pulling back, first it gets stuck at activator and then when you pull hard to open, it hits the back stud really hard. so disappointed.
Hi there, sorry to hear about your experience. We would love to help troubleshoot your installation with you. Would you be able to reach out to us at (888) 466 0030 or info@cavitysliders.com?
I just installed a soft close CS door. It is difficult to open the door until a point, and then the rollers seem to jump abruptly and door starts closing easier again. Do you know what can be the reason?
Just installed the SofStop Single SOF301 on 30 inch door and also have the same problem, difficult to open to a point, then flies open. Perhaps @CavitySliderUSA could post the solution to this thread?
@@4NSnowman Hi! Based on the information given, it is difficult to tell what component could be causing the issue. Would you be able to call us at 888.466.0030 so that we can get more information and pictures of the installation? Our customer service team will be happy to assist!
Hello! I want a dual action SofStop but my door is just under 30" and from what I have read it sounds like to have the soft open and close mechanism the door has to be at least 36" wide. Is that true and if so why?
Hi there! Great question! The minimum door width to use our SofStop Twin is 33" on a single door and 36" for double doors. The reason we have these door width minimums is that the mechanism itself must fit on top of the door. A smaller door cannot accommodate the twin mechanism and allow it to fully "unload" when it brings the door to the open/closed position. You can see Benn "load" the mechanism here: ruclips.net/video/y0ZG_QVmONU/видео.html Thanks again for your question, and if you need any help, feel free to call us at (888) 466 0030 or email info@cavitysliders.com!
Hi there! Thank you for your question! Yes, the Cavity Slider Pocket Frame is made to fit a 2x4 wall. Fully assembled the frame measures 4.5”. Once you apply drywall and the rest of your wall surface to your framing the Cavity Slider will sit flush with the wall. Please feel free to call us about your particular project or if you have further questions at 888.466.0030! 😊
Hi there! The Sofstop Hardware is sold separately. There are 3 options to choose from: Standard Carriages, SofStop Single Soft Close, and SofStop Twin (Soft Close/Soft Open). When purchasing your frame, you would select the best hardware based on your door specifications.
So you have a QR code in the manual for a twin and single SofStop that brings me to this video. But yet you once again don’t cover the single SofStop. DO YOU HAVE A SINGLE F$&@ing VIDEO ON A SINGLE ACTION SOFSTOP?
Hi Tom, the installation for a Single SofStop is the same as the Twin SofStop, however, you will only need to set the activator for one direction. If you have further questions, please reach out at 888-466-0030 or email us at info@cavitysliders.com

The doorstop cannot be used in the front position on single door setup. It should be explained that it can be used in the rear position.

@@CavitySlidersUSA i have the same problem
Me too. The soft close works well, but opening the door I’m met with resistance until the latch is engaged then the door flies open. @CavitySliderUSA

Do all cavity slider frames fit in a 2x4 wall. I read on home depots details it said it was 4.5" wide assembled. That would be an inch too wide

Hi there, can the pace of the soft close be changed, quicker or slowlier?
Hi there! Thanks for your question!Unfortunately, you cannot adjust how quick the soft close mechanism closes the door.
Is the SofStop hardware included in the frame kit, or is it purchased separately? Thanks

Terrible directions. Bad English, camera is so far away from seeing anything he's doing and not explaining how to install it.

I have to agree. Poor audio. Not enough close ups. Stationary camera not helping the situation.
