I still cry every time I hear this song. I'm just conditioned I guess.
Song was written and used instrumentation to sound AS SAD AS POSSIBLE.
i always thought vector to the heavens is such perfect theme for xion, the soundtrack was always on point. as confusing as kingdom hearts is, its honestly such a masterpiece and 100% my favorite game series

Minor correction but this isn’t actually xion’s theme that is “Musique pour la Tristesse de Xion” this is xion’s battle theme which is called “vector to the heavens”
It's supposed to be a combination of both since u can hear both of them

Well.. it's more like 'Vector to the Heavens' than 'Music pour la tristesse de Xion' which is the main theme of Xion, but...
This arrangement has something more hopeful, some upbeat tone not like in the original. Reminds me a little bit of a Ghibli-like version (thaught i heard some sort of 'Path of the wind' from the movie 'My Neighbor Totoro')...
I felt easy in my heart by hearing this... thanks :)
