  • I replace the brakes and clean out my car, preparing it for the first track day next week. Should be fun and I will film it so you all can see how I do in my Mazda RX8.

Are u trolling? Lol brakes are very important for speed. If u have good brakes u can break later, so shorter break distance. That means you can spend more time accelerating. Also braking stability and linearity helps with the car's behaviour while breaking both in straights or in a turn which allows higher speed corner entry for instance. Also better brakes can mean more reliable brakes, better longevity, or even better brakes cooling for overall better braking performance on the track. Hope this helps !

Did you get your clutch bleed properly? Or is it still a little off?

Just careful, the way you shift from 2nd gear to 3rd won't be good on the track ;)
Also, you might want to change your gear oil before going on the track cause the RX8 gear isn't really solid on the 6 gear one (or perhaps it's already done ?)
Anyway, I wish you the best on the track ;)

Great job man! It is possible to film pedalbox and your footwork for your track day to see your foot skills (and your heel-toe) please? It could be so great! :D
