Idk about your prediction for “the alchemy” because alchemy is highly associated with gold… and joe is the “golden” boy. She used gold whenever she would talk about their happiness so I think it’ll be about how she would think it was golden but it was just a trick or magician’s work. Also, did you notice “my muses that I acquired like bruises” muses as in the lakes… This album is going to be DESTRUCTIVE.
Alchemy, in that you’re trying to turn something into gold, will never work. It is impossible (for humans), because gold is an element. So if Tay’s talking about alchemy, she could be talking about a failed experiment that she thought would produce a golden result. Additionally, literature and society have often depicted alchemists as obsessive and unhinged in their pursuits. Frollo, the evil priest in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, was an alchemist (book, not Disney movie).

It actually leaked in late Jan and nobody believed them because everyone thought it was a random album concept by a fan. They actually told the name and track titles and features too.
Yes all the track titles were correct except for the last one. It seems the last one was either retitled the manuscript or it’s an entirely different song left off the album and they added the manuscript instead. Or perhaps it will be an extra bonus song for a target edition or something

"Loml" is giving insignificance. As in, when you call someone the "love of your life" it's deep and meaningful, but when you turn it into an acronym so frequently used, it takes away that power. You can say "loml" about anyone, but you wouldn't spell it out. It feels like Taylor might be mocking the whole pedestal she put Joe on and how she thought he was the one but now looks back at it differently.
I agree with what some people have said, this is a breakdown rather than breakup album. I get the feeling that her and Joe are both tortured artists with lots of emotional issues that weren’t compatible based on previous albums and the ups and downs that seemed to accompany their love story. I’m guessing this documents the journey of their breakdown?

I don't think we will get any Travis content in this album. I think The Alchemy is about Joe. She often describes him as golden in Lover. However Alchemy is a psuedoscience that people used to believe it was possible to turn other elements into gold. We now know it's not really how it works. I think the song will be about how she used to think everything he touched turned to gold but now she knows that was a false science.

When I first saw the title "Guilty As Sin" I immediately thought of the one line from "Carolina". I forgot exactly how it goes but I think it's like "that I was guilty as sin and sleep in a liars bed". Carolina was released in 2022 but was probably written earlier. So I am a MAJOR Post Malone fan and I want to add that on his albums, he typically has his track 1s as more sobering ballads, focal points, really beautiful "everyone be quiet I am saying something meaningful" vibes. Like Taylor's track 5s are Posty's track 1s. So I'm curious if there is any significance behind him being on Track 1 here. One can hope that he can help Taylor create a track 1 that is a great opener to the rest of what she is saying on this album. I'm excited!!

I'm soo excited for this album..I really hope that this marks a new beginning for more authentic personal songwriting combining elements of folklore and evermore eloquent writing. I'd also be very interested in a song describing her struggles to maintain a good public image for her (sometimes idealistic in previous albums) relationship while staying true to her diaristic songwriting...how hard it must have been for her to hide her emotions under albums like folklore. Hope there is also a song like 'Silver Springs' possibly commenting on how much of her work has been inspired by Joe

If TPD is something of a continuation of Midnights, “Fortnight” is the fourteenth night.

"Loml" is giving insignificance. As in, when you call someone the "love of your life" it's deep and meaningful, but when you turn it into an acronym so frequently used, it takes away that power. You can say "loml" about anyone, but you wouldn't spell it out. It feels like Taylor might be mocking the whole pedestal she put Joe on and how she thought he was the one but now looks back at it differently.
I agree with what some people have said, this is a breakdown rather than breakup album. I get the feeling that her and Joe are both tortured artists with lots of emotional issues that weren’t compatible based on previous albums and the ups and downs that seemed to accompany their love story. I’m guessing this documents the journey of their breakdown?

However Alchemy is a psuedoscience that people used to believe it was possible to turn other elements into gold. We now know it's not really how it works. When I first saw the title "Guilty As Sin" I immediately thought of the one line from "Carolina". I forgot exactly how it goes but I think it's like "that I was guilty as sin and sleep in a liars bed". Carolina was released in 2022 but was probably written earlier.
