@@RandoMuser-h1o that I am not/cannot say, but I certainly think it’s possible that she started it as soon as evermore was done or even before folklore began
“The tick tick tick of love bombs” I think also speaks to the tactic of lovebombing - which is like over performing love as a way to get someone invested in an otherwise problematic relationship/dynamic.
everything about her style lately (both red carpet looks and streetwear) makes me feel like this album will be a mature old hollywood vibe and i love it
I've said it before - Midnights was the bookend to her career thus far. It was the conclusion/reflection on her life thus far, and TTPD is a completely new direction filled with a folklore/evermore inspo and tortured poet collabs, a la Lana, The National, etc. I'm pumped!!
The title is even airloom turkey slander. Joe alwyn once said in an interview that he has a group chat called “the tortured men’s club”. The title was already a slay for me, then I found out it’s a petty slay and IM SO EXCITED. I think this might just be her best album yet
Okay I have several thoughts so I'm just gonna ramble real quick: 1. The "all is fair in love and poetry" is obviously a play on "all is fair in love and war" so I think she's alluding to the perception of her declaring war on her exes when she writes songs about them 2. The cover to TTPD looks like her waking up in the morning. The concept of midnights being the sleepless nights makes me think this is a sort of continuation to the morning after. Like if midnights is when you're up late having anxiety and breaking down because this relationship is hurting but you're trying to convince yourself that it can still work out/things can be fixed, then TTPD is the clarity after some sleep of "no, it's over". This makes "You're losing me" being on midnights make sense to me because of the imagery of sitting in the dark. Like that song is the last thoughts you have before you're finally like "I need to get some sleep". 3. I wonder if the phrase "tortured poet" is sarcastic in a way??? Like does she actually consider herself that way or is that just what he made her feel like/who she had to become to impress the pretentious art boy? I'm thinking back to the line "On the way home, I wrote a poem. You say "what a mind." This happens all the time." from Sweet Nothing and basically all of The Lakes. 4. A manuscript is an author's work that hasn't been published yet so I agree that this album is going be about the heirloom turkey and everything she hasn't said about the relationship yet. 5. I hope she does like another midnights madness with me where she slowly announces the track titles just because I thought it was fun 6. Your eyes are STUNNING and I cannot believe I have not noticed before. Thank you for your time. Have a great day.
I actually thought it was adding insult to injury that she pulled Lana up and made her stand there on stage and smile. The fact that Lana didn’t win anything is criminal.
@@jamiekay3650She literally praised Lana who is a featured artist on the album and one of the most influential music figures of the last decade… Lana really dgaf
I'm so proud to say that I was a believer for Ts11 despite all the Rep TV hype. I feel like the songwriting for this album will be a mix of folklore and evermore but better and the vulnerability of speak now and red. I don't really want to expect that much about the genre because I thought Midnights is going to be a rock album before. Still, I am so excited for this new album and era because I feel like I am going to love this one.
Speak Now was literally the first thing that came into my mind because on the 2010 Deluxe Edition commercial for the album, she said she dreamed to be a poet in the future nd now, here we are 💜 Here's the video if anyone is interested at timestamp 15 seconds: ruclips.net/video/5jKcG86bNRs/видео.htmlsi=uYIipU1Zdff8u2JP
10:54 “All’s fair in love and poetry” I took to mean “Whatever I’ve lived and felt is fair game for me to write about.” Which, if so, is also a pointed statement at the heirloom turkey... Edit: And I get one more minute in, and you said exactly that!
My theory behind the “all’s fair in love and poetry” lyrics is because the original phrase is “all’s fair in love and war” she’s replaced war with poetry. So it’s like she’s declaring war with her poetry. It’s like she’s saying everything is up for grabs to be written about. I don’t know, that’s my theory.
I think its gonna be an album about joever (ik midnights also goes on the same topics) but i feel like she viewed herself and joe as "tortured poets" maybe we will get a deeper insight into joever I legit screamed and scared everyone around me lol SO EXITED!!!!! thank you for the emergency video was waiting for it the whole time!!
My guess is the Tortured Poets Department is her, Jack and Lana. We know they wrote together for Midnights and they were seated together at tha Grammys. So I think Snow on the beach vibes for sound. And a line that came to my mind after reading the little poem was: lovelorn and nobody knows
If she cuts like one or two midnights songs, and then one folklore and one evermore song (because the sets are so long) that’s enough to incorporate one new era
I just realized in her post about the album she just said"All is fair in love and poetry" rather than giving us an explanation about what the album is generally about which I feel like she generally does. It almost like she wants this album to speak for itself which is an incredibly scary thought to me.
I saw a theory that it would be an album with a bunch of collaborations, which she would perform gradually on the Eras tour with collaborators (special guests). I mean POETS in the title… Why poets? If this is her album and she is the only one poet. And every guest on the album is part of society called “The Tortured Poets Department”. Anyway, I hope this theory is not true. Btw, this theory isn’t mine, I just saw this theory on twitter.
First actual video I've seen about this album and I'm SO glad I'm not the only one thinking we're going back to FolklEvermore vibes, either that or (as random as it would be) jazz/blues type music? That's just what the cover and name are telling me so far
We are gagged and SEATED! 😭I personally read the “all is fair in love and poetry” as an absolute warning to Joe, basically saying “Yep, it’s all coming out. You signed up for this and were sub par. Prepare to have all your shortcomings displayed in 17 perfect songs”. Cannot express how excited I am for the record and all your coming content!! xxxx
The first artist in the world to announce a new album at the Grammys? While receiving an award... I mean it screams ICONIC. Am I mistaken or have artists never announced the release of a new album while receiving an award before? I watch the Grammys almost every year and I don't remember anything like this before.
@@tay_rizul yeah, but Grammy and VMA two very very different shows in aesthetic and critic acclamation. I mean you won’t see Miley twerking with Robin Thick on the Grammys 😁 and Joni Mitchell at the VMAs
Honestly that's my least favorite part of this announcement. It feels like announcing your pregnancy at someone else's wedding. Like, let them have their celebration. Don't make it about you.
all is fair in love and poetry is a play on all is fair in love and war. I think by that sentence she means she's not holding back on her poetry, she's ready to air out the dirty laundry from all those years she only talked about how great that relationship was...
Exactly, we'll be getting some Heirloom Turkey Slanderrr She ain't holding back no more like she did in Midnights. Joe better stay away from Swifties after April 19
19. April 1775 Siege of Boston, which lead to the American Revolution 🤯🤡 all the war references in her songs about Joe….this is a declaration of war…her american independence war from the british turkey 🫡
So, I found one of her comments when announcing this to be kind of interesting, and it actually goes back to the win itself. She makes the comment that she knows a big part of why she won (at least in this category and b possibly AOTY as well) is the fan base. I love Midnights. I think it did deserve the wins it got. But I think this was her acknowledgement that the other things that happened this year, the success she’s been having, her popularity… they were a part of this win. As is the case with a lot of big award shows. It’s rarely a simple question of which was the best work.
I knew it that she’s going to do another album before dropping debutation. She seems to always release 2 TVs in between new album. evermore - fearless, red - midnights - speaknow,1989 - TPD - debutation
I think she's just following her 2 year album release. TS 2006, Fearless 2008, SN 2010, Red 2012, 1989 2014, 1 year disappearance, Rep 2017, Lover 2019, The pandemic, folkmore 2020, Midnights 2022, TTPD 2024.. Releasing 3 albums in one year would be crazy
A thought I had while watching this was the spoken-word poem interlude of Seven on the tour was probably a little nod to this new era of “poetry” as a theme and possibly the introspective style of writing? Very excited to hear what the first single is gonna be.
"she's such a psycho" and incomprehensible rambling and disbelief are the only correct respond to her annoucing a brand new album out of nowhere. i mean, her ability to do the unexpected shouldn't be a surprise at this point, but it always is and that's why being her fan is so fucking fun lmao
The TRACK LIST is out and she is 100% roasting the turkey! "So long, London"????? "The smallest man to ever lived"?????? It's gonna be SOOO good! I am SOOOO excited!!!
Also the line about love bombs is a reference to “love bombing,” a manipulative tactic to keep a partner from leaving a bad relationship, and that feels like a BIG DEAL acknowledgement/accusation to me
to be honest, when I heard “the tortured poets department” I immediately thought about the music industry. I think she’ll mention reinventing herself in the album.
I would loveee to watch you do an interview with Taylor one day about her music and her creative process...that would be amazing. you are truly a swiftologist😂
I looove this. As soon as the announcement dropped i was waiting for your video! And you never disappoint!! folklore and evermore are my two favorites so i'm just too excited for this album to drop! can't waitttt
I think the distinction between love and poetry makes perfect sense! The original saying goes "all is fair in love and war" as we know, so "poetry" is replacing the term "war" in her case. And even though Taylor is a lover girl, loving isn‘t her form of artistry. It‘s her writing. Her pen is her weapon and this is her saying that she will write as openly and ruthlessly as she loves. I‘m interpreting this as a warning and "be aware" to our heirloom turkey but also to the media and anybody else who crossed and discredited her. Also looking back to the "long story short" lyrics she said: When I dropped my sword I threw it in the bushes and knocked on your door And we live in peace But if someone comes at us, this time, I'm ready She implies that being in love is being defenseless but also trusting that your partner won‘t hurt you. Love is a sort of truce at least until it ends. And it ended. So, anything goes basically. "You‘re losing me" was only the tip of the iceberg. We‘re discharged from the hospital and going straight to the heartbreak tortured poets department. She‘s not a patient anymore, she‘s the chairman!!! Taylor is absolutely over him.
Releasing the Eras movie when she did now makes sense!! That version of the tour may be gone soon, and it may be revamped with the songs from TS11 for the upcoming dates.
to me the most surprising and exciting thing is the lack of Easter egging!! I’m like hoping she can become more spontaneous or at least private about her plans. I think less conspiracy feeding is really necessary for both her and the fans
I’m still currently processing and have no words. I was on the stream watching when it was announced and I had the same reaction as you!! I’m so intrigued by the album name. Props to your for making this emergency video so fast.. I truly appreciate 🫶
This is giving the penmanship of Folklore, the music style of Midnights with a non apologetic hint of Reputation. ALSO Reputation was mainly about Joe saving her, and the albums cover is black and white. Folklore is the first time she asked joe to work on an album together. Also black and white. And now The Tortured Poets Department being black and white. Along with the lyrics she released with it she is being whimsical yet direct. Her pictures are sensual yet laid back. Reputation TV IS coming right around the corner and like I said that album is mainly about Joe being her saviour while also showing a more sensual and aggressive side of her. She KNOWS everyones waiting for Rep. TV and will be listening to it like crazy. All leading up to her new albums release that is all about how that "golden love" ran out. Her Grammys outfit I think is also a big easter egg on what the albums going to be like. I was really confused by her dress but with THIS it makes complete sense. Shes wrapped up in bed sheets, showing some sensualness with the corsetted back. Black gloves and a black hand fan. Elegant yet blunt. The chocker being a clock. "Tick, tick, tick". Also side note the picture of her in the pastel pink cardigan is very JOE coded to me. Lover color of a cardigan and its the "only" thing shes wrapped up in. She is ACTUALLY easter egging! All that to say I am SO READY FOR THIS ERA! 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍

@@RandoMuser-h1o that I am not/cannot say, but I certainly think it’s possible that she started it as soon as evermore was done or even before folklore began
“The tick tick tick of love bombs” I think also speaks to the tactic of lovebombing - which is like over performing love as a way to get someone invested in an otherwise problematic relationship/dynamic.
that was my thought too
can’t help but think of the lyrics of Sweet Nothing
“On the way home
I wrote a poem
You say, "What a mind"
This happens all the time”
That was one of my first thoughts, too. She’s like, ‘you expected sweet nothing, so now I’m gonna show you something’.
and "take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die"...
I'm supposed to study immunology, but this is too much of a treat to pass up on
you took my sadness out of context at the tortured poets department…
omg mariners was my first thought when i saw the title!!!
OMG I THOUGHT THIS TOO
everything about her style lately (both red carpet looks and streetwear) makes me feel like this album will be a mature old hollywood vibe and i love it
I've said it before - Midnights was the bookend to her career thus far.
Okay I have several thoughts so I'm just gonna ramble real quick:
1. The "all is fair in love and poetry" is obviously a play on "all is fair in love and war" so I think she's alluding to the perception of her declaring war on her exes when she writes songs about them
5. I hope she does like another midnights madness with me where she slowly announces the track titles just because I thought it was fun
6. Your eyes are STUNNING and I cannot believe I have not noticed before.
Thank you for your time. Have a great day.
👏👏👏
Omg!!!!!!! You’re so smart!!!!
Happy for Taylor but they did Lana Del Rey so dirty, at least Taylor gave her the moment she deserved.
The way she dragged Lana with her up on stage 😅
I actually thought it was adding insult to injury that she pulled Lana up and made her stand there on stage and smile. The fact that Lana didn’t win anything is criminal.
@@bubblegumnnebula wtf? Zionists are still people... replace the word Zionist in your sentance with any minority group and read it again
@@jamiekay3650She literally praised Lana who is a featured artist on the album and one of the most influential music figures of the last decade… Lana really dgaf
@@bubblegumnnebula do you even know what a zionist is? lmao
I’m still in shock, struggling to process, feels like a fever dream
I feel like this is the most grown up cover and title she’s ever done. I’m so excited
For some reason, I think that this album was supposed to be released in 2022, and she and Joe got back together, which created midnights instead…
This is an interesting thought!!
Ooooh🤔
Oooo good theory
I'm so proud to say that I was a believer for Ts11 despite all the Rep TV hype. I feel like the songwriting for this album will be a mix of folklore and evermore but better and the vulnerability of speak now and red. I don't really want to expect that much about the genre because I thought Midnights is going to be a rock album before. Still, I am so excited for this new album and era because I feel like I am going to love this one.
Speak Now was literally the first thing that came into my mind because on the 2010 Deluxe Edition commercial for the album, she said she dreamed to be a poet in the future nd now, here we are 💜
Here's the video if anyone is interested at timestamp 15 seconds:
ruclips.net/video/5jKcG86bNRs/видео.htmlsi=uYIipU1Zdff8u2JP
10:54 “All’s fair in love and poetry” I took to mean “Whatever I’ve lived and felt is fair game for me to write about.” Which, if so, is also a pointed statement at the heirloom turkey... Edit: And I get one more minute in, and you said exactly that!
Just a q, why does Zach call Joe the heirloom turkey?
@@bethblrwe don't know. He just started saying it and it stuck
@@bethblr Because she talked him up like he’s fancy and gourmet, but really he’s bland.
I LOVE Zach reacting to chaotic Taylor moments, somebody make a supercut. 🤍
I think its gonna be an album about joever (ik midnights also goes on the same topics) but i feel like she viewed herself and joe as "tortured poets"
maybe we will get a deeper insight into joever
I legit screamed and scared everyone around me lol SO EXITED!!!!!
thank you for the emergency video was waiting for it the whole time!!
My guess is the Tortured Poets Department is her, Jack and Lana. We know they wrote together for Midnights and they were seated together at tha Grammys. So I think Snow on the beach vibes for sound. And a line that came to my mind after reading the little poem was: lovelorn and nobody knows
that makes so much sense!! except i’m not expecting snow on the beach vibes. i feel like something darker is more likely.
I can see that. A dark etherial vibe. Also they were coordinating outfits at the Grammys!
It almost like she wants this album to speak for itself which is an incredibly scary thought to me.
she‘s going to find a really poetic way to say ‚joe alwyn is an heirloom turkey and a poor virgin who can‘t drive‘, mark my words
@@wa11ie😂😂😂
I saw a theory that it would be an album with a bunch of collaborations, which she would perform gradually on the Eras tour with collaborators (special guests). I mean POETS in the title… Why poets? If this is her album and she is the only one poet. And every guest on the album is part of society called “The Tortured Poets Department”.
Anyway, I hope this theory is not true. Btw, this theory isn’t mine, I just saw this theory on twitter.
I hope not, really
I hope not!😂
@@srhgmrswhy? I really need a sabrina and Taylor collab immediately
@@ayomidedareabel5525I don’t
I’d be so down for another Lana collab. This time I’d hope they share the song more evenly (with the initial release)
The tortured poets department is such a lana del rey kind if title 😂😂
First actual video I've seen about this album and I'm SO glad I'm not the only one thinking we're going back to FolklEvermore vibes, either that or (as random as it would be) jazz/blues type music? That's just what the cover and name are telling me so far
Someone said it could be like an album of False God-esque stuff. Which I would be here for…
@@jamiekay3650 I LOVE that, False God is such a great song
Literally my exact reaction. The cover was giving EVERYTHING. I love pop Taylor but I am IN LOVE with moody folkie indie Taylor.
Cannot express how excited I am for the record and all your coming content!! xxxx
Thinking Sexy folklore/evermore w some soul & r & b beats thrown in…a collaboration album
The first artist in the world to announce a new album at the Grammys? While receiving an award... I mean it screams ICONIC.
Am I mistaken or have artists never announced the release of a new album while receiving an award before? I watch the Grammys almost every year and I don't remember anything like this before.
I mean she did announce Midnights at an award show…if we’re specifically talking about the Grammys tho, then I’m not sure
@@tay_rizul yeah, but Grammy and VMA two very very different shows in aesthetic and critic acclamation. I mean you won’t see Miley twerking with Robin Thick on the Grammys 😁 and Joni Mitchell at the VMAs
This way she doesn’t have to announce it at the Super Bowl on Sunday
I think Macy Grey did it in the early 2000's
Honestly that's my least favorite part of this announcement. It feels like announcing your pregnancy at someone else's wedding. Like, let them have their celebration. Don't make it about you.
all is fair in love and poetry is a play on all is fair in love and war. I think by that sentence she means she's not holding back on her poetry, she's ready to air out the dirty laundry from all those years she only talked about how great that relationship was...
Exactly, we'll be getting some Heirloom Turkey Slanderrr
She ain't holding back no more like she did in Midnights.
Joe better stay away from Swifties after April 19
Can't even try to decipher the theme and vibe of the album from the art since midnights was soo off 💀💀
frr😂
It’s rarely a simple question of which was the best work.
it's her best album cover so far, but it so looks like a fan edit, not because of quality but just the image and vibes like OKAYY
both of these things can be true, i 100% agree, this is one of her best album covers to date.
She could have different version's and colored album's like she did with midnights so you may like a future version of the album when it comes out
Yesssss I’ve been waiting for your emergency video since the announcement 🫶
Also the line about love bombs is a reference to “love bombing,” a manipulative tactic to keep a partner from leaving a bad relationship, and that feels like a BIG DEAL acknowledgement/accusation to me
I still can't believe she announced the release of a new album!!
to be honest, when I heard “the tortured poets department” I immediately thought about the music industry.
Also looking back to the "long story short" lyrics she said:
When I dropped my sword
I threw it in the bushes and knocked on your door
And we live in peace
But if someone comes at us, this time, I'm ready
She implies that being in love is being defenseless but also trusting that your partner won‘t hurt you. Taylor is absolutely over him.
putting in the lords work already releasing this emergency video. i knew i could count on swiftologist to be doing boots on the ground reporting!
Releasing the Eras movie when she did now makes sense!! That version of the tour may be gone soon, and it may be revamped with the songs from TS11 for the upcoming dates.
The track list just being posted… she really is making you the no-days-off-ologist. Can’t wait for the next emergency video
to me the most surprising and exciting thing is the lack of Easter egging!! I’m like hoping she can become more spontaneous or at least private about her plans. I think less conspiracy feeding is really necessary for both her and the fans
As soon as she announced the album coming out, I was waiting for this video!!!! So excited to watch it.
I’m still currently processing and have no words. I was on the stream watching when it was announced and I had the same reaction as you!! I’m so intrigued by the album name. Props to your for making this emergency video so fast.. I truly appreciate 🫶

this woman never ceases to confuse the hell out of me lol
HELP EVEN THE DATE WAS SIGNIFICANT TOO! I did a little digging and April 19th was the day that America broke away from England, OR Miss Americana gaining her ‘independence’ from her London Boy, AND Britain had 13 ARMIES, PLUS that day is national poetry day. A new level of delulu truly
@blondievfx LMAO PLS and thank you lol I do go overboard a bit oopsies
on love and poetry being synonyms: "the pen is mightier than the sword"
i think poetry works as an equivalent for war in that sense
She is a song-writing machine and cannot be stopped 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
First thing in the morning when i wake up my dad called me and he read me a headline that said ts breaks record by winning at the grammys and announces a new LP. I WAS GAGGED IT WAS LIKE 6 IN THE MORNING😭
Honestly, I was not expecting her to announce Reputation (Taylor's version). I don't know it just did not seem to me that way, it was just instinctive that I felt that she is not announcing it no matter how many of us swifties were clowning over its release and its announcement dates. I am actually glad that she announced another new album and I love love the name.
The tick, tick, tick of love bombs speaks volumes if it relates to how narcissists love bomb their victims.
That was the first thing I thought of when I read that line
I'm not a fan of Joe and I do belive that this relationship might have been somewhat toxic and uneven but let's not throw medical diagnosis at people we don't actually know and have no evidence to support it
Also love bombing is a manipulation tactic used not only by people with NPD

It's giving "on the way home, I wrote a poem, you say what a mind, this happens all the time" but a saltier version lol
I knew when you jumped off the twitch stream to do this that it would be a good one
I literally said .... GOTTA GOOOOO
I am honored to have been clowning in the livestream with y'all at the moment this was announced
There's already an article on the Daily Maily from Joe's publicist/insider (allegedly) saying that he hopes she doesn't release any details about their breakup in her songs and that it's not a diss album.
And! The source finished: 'Regardless of what she does, he will still not respond because he has removed himself from her narrative and is very glad, he did.'
I am gagging… 😅😅
oh oh bet he rue the day he kissed a writer in the dark
of course she will write about her feelings!! so we really don’t care about what he thinks about it 😂
the announcement actually gave me a heart attack because a powerline outside my house was pulled down by a bunch of trees falling down so my power went out and I was left without power or wifi for two days while a huge storm happened outside right after she gave her speech
