I test drove a Hybrid XLE. I did not find it loud at all. Just normal engine noise when on ramping onto the freeway. I like it! 👍👍👍
I love that color and black roof, this Rav4 is a dream! The pano roof heated seats and jbl! And I just love the torque from hybrids, and plenty of room for my family! This might be my next vehicle!

I got the exact blue on black roof. The sports mode was a rush. Tons of tech features and i feel like flying a plane. The manual was an inch thick and thank you for your video i am learning a lot what my rav 4 xse has.

I have to decide today if blue with black roof or wight with black roof. More poeple take wight with black roof. Others said blau get fast dirty and needs to be wached many times weekly. I personally love the blue color.

Is this correct what people say that blue color in rav4 get faster dirty?
@@ashrafabdelmaksoud777 The blue color I got was initially very dark blue so the two tone was not obvious. It looks black when cloudy, and only looks blue when it is very bright outside. With repeated washing, the beautiful blue color started to show but it may be indicative my color was fading. People told me not to use the dishwasher detergent to keep the color. Blue does not get dirty fast. With Covid 19, I did not wash my car for 3 months, it looks great unless you really get too close. Personally, I will get the blue with black roof. As I said, it may not look two tone initially since the blue looks blacker in mild light. Good luck

As we were test driving the RAV4 Hybrid this past Saturday morning in Connecticut, a customer called and put a deposit on it. We were certainly impressed by the XSE.

Hi Jeff! Love the detail in your videos. I have and love the 2019 adventure trim (ruby) rav4 and I wanted to point out something about the sunroof. When you first auto open it goes to about 2/3rds-ish of the way open like that panorama one does. But then if you hit it to open a 2nd time it continues to the rest of the way. I believe the panorama one does the same to open up the extra couple inches if desired.

Awesome video! I was looking forward to seeing this one. When i saw the initial NY press release last year, i had my heart set on the XSE because of the piano back accents! I just couldn't wait 'til April/May when they were released, so the Adventure was my 2nd choice. I am SO happy i got it when i did though vs. waiting because we just had a major blizzard here in CO, and my old car wouldn't have made it. My RAV handled that blizzard like baws!

Gary Veneziano I just got my Hybrid XSE! It’s beautiful and very quite! Mine has the pano roof! The other models were extremely quiet also. I don’t why people are complaining it’s loud.

Nice CUV....could anyone give some info on the lifespan of the hybrid battery? I was told it’ll need to be replaced after 5-7 years and it’s $5200 (per my local Toyota dealership)...Theoretically you could still be making payments and also have to fork out $5k to replace the hybrid battery? Love the design but not sure I’d be willing to risk it...
There is 8 years warranty so it would be free if 5-7 years in theory

Would of liked to have got the xse, but settled with the 2020 xle hybrid instead with convenience and cold weather package with all weather mats and roof rack. Got it cheaper than the 2019 xse too!

I want to buy the hybrid rav4. Just wondering how long the batteries will last before they need to be replaced. And How much it cost to replace them? See if it is worth the money you save on gas
Phong Nguyen there is no specific range but most hybrid batteries will last well over 175,000 miles if not much much longer. I don’t really know the cost but I would assume it somewhere between 2000 and $4000
If i remember correctly Toyota warranty is 10 years for the battery ...

If you're on a highway and enter a long highway entrance lane, should you turn on the sport mode so you can accelerate out of the highway entrance lane to match the flow of traffic, then once you attain the speed of everyone, turn the normal drive back on?

XSE Hybrid is the best looking especially in white or silver 2 tone but Toyota should have done a XSE Limited so you can have all the options but with the look of the XSE

And you are lucky . In canada the xse tech package has no tft 7inch and no panoramic moonroof, no 360 degree canera view. In USA you have everything

As the Atkinson cycle is software based, with the inlet valve held open for part of the compression stroke, I'd like the sport mode to switch the engine to Otto cycle, with a normal intake stroke to increase power and torque.

Why can't you Add the Moonroof and SXE Cold Weather Packet on this Blue & Black one, or the White & Black one? But It's only available on the Dark Grey & Black, and on the Silver & Black.
I think there are still a bunch of bugs in the in the online configurator. I saw the same thing you were seeing. And also since inventory is pretty limited right now it might be based on what is actually out in the world, which can't be much since we're still early in the release.
I'm just gonna wait till the 2020's roll out. The more I see the less impressed I am, hopefully the options will be better by then. You can't even order the tech package with a grey exterior for the XSE.

Curious how much is cost of the battery and service on the battery portion when it needs to be replaced? And what is the life span of those batteries? And if one doesn’t want the Jbl sound system upgrade, how much is that off the cost? As well is that standard with the hybrid?

I recently bought 2019 RAV-4 XLE Hybrid. After I bought the car, I noticed the car makes sort of loud high pitch noise when I put the gear in reverse. When I told the dealer about it, they told me it's normal and all the hybrid cars make that noise. Did you notice any noises in the reverse gear when you did the test drive? Thank you,
Hi there I’m pretty sure that is the electronic parking brake. It makes a high whirring noise when you take it into and out of park. If that’s it....very normal
And if that is the case then your dealership was mistaken. That is all of the newer cars with the electronic parking brake.
It’s literally a safety feature when in reverse since you can’t hear the hybrid engine noise. Jeez Jeff I thought you’d know that

Hey Jeff, Can you compare the HV back seats to the non-HV 2019 RAV4? I read some comments about the HV cushion being very thin looking because of the Hybrid battery vents. Just wondering if there is a noticeable difference in comfort and feel between the two? Thanks for all the great videos! I wish the dealerships around me would get some XSEs in. I'm beginning to wonder if I should just wait for the 2020s.

Why is 500 or so miles of range a problem? 14 * 38 is 532. How much range do you need?
I only get around 20 with the adventure so hopefully the mpg for the hybrid is correct
My 2011 kia sportage only has a 12 gallon tank, I get 350 range.... I would love 500+!

Wow ...over $38,000! For about $34,000 I can get a comparably equipped non-hybrid Subaru Forester. And it would take the hybrid several years to break even in gas savings.
Different car. It is not comparable. I wouldn’t.trust Subaru engine. I prefer pay 38000$. If i have the money why not

Toyotajeff in Raleigh this is my dream car! I know that you called this a full review but I won't be taking it as one😊. There is some empty buttons by the side, there is no 360 camera. I will like you to compare the sound systems " premium and non premium. I also thought that you said that panoramic sunroof affects the head room which you didn't mention here or does it only apply to no hybrid models? There are many unanswered questions but I think that I have to sit back with my popcorn and wait for your detailed review on this hybrid model like you did in non hybrid before I can make my decision. More or less wait until your dealership get the all hybrids trims. Thanks!

The XSE is exclusive to the hybrid drive train and it is the 'sporty' trim for the Rav 4. It has upgraded suspension and other goodies.
Bought one premium hybrid 4*4 same colour beige interior probably delivered mid September ...

I only want fake leather.protect animals. And the quality and thermic is better wirh softex also more wshable and stronger to heat.

Great question. I don't see that listed as a factory option for either the gas or the hybrid versions. I'll investigate to see what we can do at our dealership after with Toyota parts. Jeff
TableRocked Yeah my installer is checking on it but he said Toyota held back the tow package on the 2016 Tacoma’s for a little bit as well so he’s not surprised

Not at $40K for an economy compact SUV from Toyota.
Personnaly i think it is good price. The only cons is i would like improved sound insulation. Passager power seat with height and 7inch tft info screen and panoramic moon roof in canadian version of xse. This is why i will wait up to the 2020 model

I love the car... really want to buy it, but I can get a Subaru Forester fully loaded with taxes out the door for 30k. 9k difference would take 8-10 years to break even with mpg difference and then you have to buy a new hybrid battery 🙁. I'd do it for a 5k difference, other than that I can't financially justify it
