God calls us to do difficult things so he can teach us to trust him, to sanctify and strengthen us. We are not called to understand all God has in store for us but simply to trust and follow.
The pruning process and punishment due to disobedience and being out of God's will look very similar.
The difference is the FRUITS you bear as your being pruned and the PEACE of the Lord.
Feel encouraged if the Lord is pruning you. You are in good hands. Be still ❤❤❤
4 years ago while i was going through the most roughest and difficult season of my life, i remember hearing the Lord speaking to someone possibly an angel? About me because i was complaining about how hard my life was, and what he said brought a profound understanding I still remember to this day: I heard the Lord say "I was being sent through this because I needed to be toughened up for his upcoming assignment"

I felt like quiting this business God gave me,despite being the 1% in this field,having so much grace and favour,it has become really difficult that i began to question if it was Him, thanks for the reminder,time to toughen up and get to work
We will know when we are in the will of God when it requires faith. Thats why there is opposition because God wants our faith to be stretched. Inconvenience or discomfort does not mean its not Gods will but rather it is a situation that God has allowed us to go through, another process for our faith to increase for his name to be glorified.
I am in the same situation in business. God has instructed me to do a business that i had no idea about. Im in season of building the knowledge, experience and understanding the business he asked me to do. Its not easy coz i have lottle kids and i dont have the funds. But God said, he has given me somethign to work on while im building this business he wants me to do.
Ive been battling for months about how im gonna do it and what if im wrong? I even told myself i need to speak to someone who could help me understand and the holy spirit will immediately tell me that i dont need help to understand if i understood correctly bcoz he already revealed it to me. All i need is to take a leap of faith and do it. I honestly havent done anything yet for 9 months now but im working on it. Will take action now. I almost gave up but finally, i decided to choose God. I decided to follow him and his will 3 years ago, been in the wilderness that long and it hurts. But, i dont want it to go to waste. He is our only hope.

Im on 2samuel. Also very encouraged with this part of the bible. Few hrs ago i was praying for God to speak to me again and you showed up on my notifs just now when i was about to shut my phone off. Same problem. Facing opposition wondring if there was something i did wrong or maybe heard wrong that has brought this current prob in my life. Also been praying for Him to fulfill His promises that ive been holding onto for strength. God is so good. This just shows how everything we do matters. Every step of faith and obedience has purpose.

Wow, I also happen to be reading 1 Samuel right now and also listened to the same video from the apostle just yesterday. I have exams which start tomorrow and was feeling nervous and was starting to question the calling God has placed over my life through my studies. I feel your prayer was answered and this message was relayed beautifully 🕊 in my experience this also has been the case sometimes. as you said, these type of things build character and also endurance. Same here with work. I have been working here for 8 months now and my manager called me in this week and said that I need to reconsider another position. My coworkers are frustrated with me and have been giving me the cold shoulder. It’s frustrating because it took me a while to get this job and now may lose it. I never thought I would be in this position at this age and stage of my life.

Thank you so much for sharing this - I was so blessed by this. I was very disheartened yesterday after seeing how much opposition I’ve faced over the past month, but still being convinced (through the Word and the Holy Spirit’s direction) that I’m supposed to walk a particular conviction out in love for God and love for others. This is so timely. I also really appreciate how you temper what you share with wisdom (how not everything always applies to everyone or for every situation and making the distinction that God works in many different ways). I think Christians need to hear more of that. A “litmus” test that I try to use is three questions: (1) is what I’m doing rooted in the Word? (2) is it being pursued in love for God and love for others? (3) am I doing this from faith or fear?
