I dont know why, but this is one of the best looking cars of the WRC of the past 10 years, more beautiful than the C4 and DS3. I recently bought one in very good shape and is fantastic what a simple 4 banger 160HP from the late nineties can do if it´s well maintained! So much fun driving it!
The Xsara, and same thing for its compact little sister the Saxo, are both one of those last high mileage heroes. The Xsara was meant to be a pure road warrior that could withstand anything if minimum service and repairs were done correctly. I do have a Xsara that has over 500K miles (800K kms) on the odometer and it is still running the same horsepower as if it was brand new after a check on the dyno 👌
Ivan Knježević Tough in my opinion "controlled" sliding was born in rally first(it's used in extra tight corner where grippy cornering is waste of time; like 180 degree) Later in Japan racing and street scene(70-80s). But yeah it's more important to maintain grip like in track racing

Xsara great, Picasso not so much
@@Pz_FrenchFryMan i have one too with 320 000 km,i was going to sell it at the end of the year, but I really love how the car looks for older car.
One of the best sounding rally car !
I miss the Xsara in WRC!
That anti-lag sounds great.
When compare with Loebs 306 Maxi it is horrible!
@@bertbroeder1832 306 Maxi is a naturally aspirated car, so it doesn't have anti-lag system.
This is the car the brought loeb his 3 titles with that car from 2004 to 2006 before it was swapped to a C4 for the 2007 season
Sounds just awesome!
3:28 Una delle poche wrc che aveva il colpetto di gas automatico sulla leva del freno a mano.
So cool to see the old Monza banking. Great video again. Thanks.
Best video on the internet ever!! greatest rally car.
Best looking WRC car of its period and following
I must admit, the Xsara as a street car is nowhere near pretty. But in WRC trim with all the required bits and pieces, it is such a beauty.
Jeez you're getting good at these videos bro! Haha
Veramente incazzata la citroen Xsara!!!!

C'est ma voiture
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe 😁😁👍👍
I wish they loose this 1600cc engine nonsense and return to at least 2000cc cause the sound is really weak on the new wrc:/
I miss anti-lag and backfires sooo much...
Le bruit ressemble a une xara wrc
after hearing the xsara kit car, this sounds crap.
Sur que moi aux volants d un t elle bolide je donnerais de file a retordre a celui qui serait en tete parole je suis un tres bon pilotes mais sans moyent cars seule sur terre
Better than sex
beautifull car with an horrible street version
Anti-lag backfire is not motorsport, it sounds like cheap pyrotechnis! Such a beautiful car with great sound, but...
Performance > cooler something something
Poor front wheeler can't drift....
Guess I'm getting a Xsara this summer, it's a cheap car here.
xsara wrc is an awd car, dumbass...go watch inital d if you want drift, rally is all about grip

well yeah, first in rally, then tsuchiya on the touge tracks, and then he made a sport out of it
The drift scene introduced the controlled slide as it is today for rwd cars but most ppl don't know that powerslide came from rally...
