Seeing that traffic is the sole reason I never book an early flight on a cruise. Noon is the earliest I would ever take a flight. Yes you can do earlier ones but its a gamble.

  • @liannburgos3714

Just a quick tidbit again because I was a travel agent: If a cruise outside a Disney cruise is costing you the same, you're planning incorrectly. For example, Royal Caribbean averages $779 a person, 7 day cruise. No where near a Disney cruise. Just have to pick the right cruise departure, days etc. Also Royal Caribbean will let you bring things on the ship that Disney will not. It takes less research for most OTHER cruise lines

    • @liannburgos3714
      @liannburgos3714 11 месяцев назад +7

In addition: a big no no for booking cruises is the same as flights etc, you book to close to departure, you pay more. Cruises have sales etc and those things when utilized will save you a ton of money.

i'm wondering if you have a children with that statement. Most people with kids once in school travel school breaks 95 percent of the time unless for like maybe a special birthday trip. The cruise prices are high no matter what ship.

We have cruised a lot and agree. Disney is at least 2x the cost if not more then other cruises compared to the same length of time. But with Disney you get entertained with your meals, the regular entertainment is far superior, they are the only cruise with fireworks, characters, free soda. So if you want to go on a cruise to see the world, do a different cruise line. If you want the cruise itself to be your vacation, Disney.

Lol there is no way Disney is even close to the same price as Royal Caribbean. I spent nearly $1K less than Disney on my most recent Royal Caribbean cruise which had unlimited alcohol, soda, ETC in a suite. I Had a very similar suite on Disney, only drank water and coffee, and still spent almost $1k more. I do think, however, that Disney is certainly better for a family like yours. All in all though, I do love both Disney and Royal Caribbean for different reasons.

Just wanted to give a tip in regard to the Second dining versus Main dining. You can also call Disney Cruise Line before you sail and request to be added to the Main dining waitlist. If Disney is able to move you to main dining before you sail you will receive an undated confirmation showing the main dining listed. Once again, the request is not a guarantee. If Disney is not able to move you to main dining you would head to the lounge where the dining cast members are once you board the ship. Each ship is different for which lounge you would head to so make sure to check with a cast member once you board.

Hey there, so I think you shouldn't be afraid of going on other ships. I have 2 young children as well. And we have been on Royal Caribbean ships. Many, many times it's very similar, almost identical to a Disney ship. We're going on msc cruise this year. In the yacht club and everything is taken care of Drinks are included all your alcohols included if you drink. The price for foreguese was about $800 less and we have a huge suite.I think you shouldn't be afraid of trying a different cruise line even with a baby. I Love Disney ships too, but sometimes it's nice to try something different.

We went on our first cruise and it was on the Wish. Can't even tell you how amazing it was and we are now booking for next cruise in March the Treasure. I had to share a funny story about something we bought to send home from Disney World after the cruise. It was a weighted blanket that we were worried it would make our bag to heavy to fly home. We received it which is like Disney coming to our home and when it arrived it weighed more then we remembered it being. The box was huge and way oversized for what it should have been. My daughter opened it and discovered that it had a 25LB bottle of R12 which is a refrigerant for cars. That was in the top of the box and the blanket was neatly wrapped and bagged in Disney packaging in the bottom. Not sure how it got there but the label was from Disney. I saw your frame story and decided to share.

My husband went to Orlando with a friend on that Monday for a meeting and they had to reroute off 528 for the truck fire at Innovation that closed the road. We left Canaveral on Wed to catch the Auto Train in Sanford and you could see where the fire had been.

I enjoyed Wish. I talked to my son about how Magnifico started out with really good intentions, but sometimes when people get a lot of power, they become obsessed with power and that takes over everything. And that his FEAR of something bad happening again took over his kind of thinking clearly, which led to the dark magic. But we really enjoyed it, my son LOVED the chicken scene…. And we sing the songs regularly. Hahaha but I agree it could use more character development.

I think I will start the process of getting our passports first and then check in taking a cruise next year out of your Port. Your boys were so cute on this cruise. I got a big tickle when Jenn was feeding Oliver on the balcony of your room then Jackson sneezed loudly, and Oliver immediately popped his head up and looked back at Jackson! Too cute!

The hardest thing that will likely happen if you did another line is comparing it to Disney. We've done almost 40 on 7 lines. We still do this. Overall it's so worth trying other lines out. I'd say 75% to 80% of the cruise process will be the same on all lines. As a suggestion I'd pick Royal Caribbean, more importantly try out one of the Oasis class ships. Yes they are massive, BUT they are not as overwhelming as you'd think as far as the deck plans go. Really simple honestly. We've been on Oasis, Allure and Harmony. Actually going back on Allure next month, then new Utopia in Oct. We like the class because it's just a very easy setup. I'd say out of most of the other cruise lines they would be right behind disney for a family friendly cruise. Tons for the entire family. Icon looks cool, but even for us seems very overwhelming in general. But any of the Oasis class I'd say would be a great transition from Disney. But you guys have to try out other lines. We started with Carnival and did about 7 before we switched off.
Also when getting off the ship you should always have your ship card and Id. Passport not a must and usually recommended to stay in your cabin. Side note.
We have several cruise tours on our channel on some of the Oasis ships if you guys want to check out.

I was scared to get a cruise ship too, but we booked one and went and I was never scared once on the ship.i have never gotten sick on a Disney Cruise ship and I have been on The Wonder once, The Dream twice, and The Fantasy once. We are in the process of figuring out when we wanna go on The Wish. I have only said with Disney I wanna branch out and do Royal Caribbean Icon Of The Sea’s it’s their newest ship it just launched like a week or 2 ago but it literally has a water park on top. But yeah your safe with Disney I have only ever heard of one bad thing ,a crew member disappeared on March 22, 2011 the cruise was off the Pacific coast of Mexico.

I used to be a cruise travel agent. I know that at least pre-pandemic, Royal Caribbean had a partnership with DreamWorks, so they would have those characters on the ships. Carnival has Dr. Seuss.
I do know Royal constantly has promotions where kids sail free, and you only have to pay for their port charges and taxes. I wouldn't recommend trying a line like Celebrity or Princess until the kids are quite a bit older, because those ships are flat-out not geared towards families. But it might be fun to try another line just to get to experience the other private islands- Perfect Day at CocoCay for Royal, Great Stirrup Cay and Harvest Caye for Norwegian (and Harvest Caye has an absolutely humongous pool), Ocean Cay for MSC, etc.

For Jackson to understand the evil king, try this: There’s a saying (Lord Acton) that absolute power corrupts absolutely. So when someone gets power or too much power they tend to become corrupted or bad. English teachers use this to explain, when teaching Macbeth, why the character Macbeth changes. He is a pretty nice guy until he becomes king.

As a kid, I hated that feeling, but as an adult, it’s kind of a funny memory. Hopefully Jackson will get another chance to try swimming in the cay again!

There will be 240mph full racecars at the event that need to be “street legal” to go and run and the next track a few hours away. The more modern cars will load an EFI tune in their computer for racing, then “detune” the cars to drive on the street. They will run again next year make it a point to check it out.

I was once told by an Employee at the Marvel store at Disney Springs that the cheapest thing on Disney Property is the plastic covers for Comic books. I bought one for 50¢! 😆

Once again,,thanka for all the info😊 Glad it was a great cruise trip😊 I hope to do a Disney cruise in future. Y'all make them seem so amazing. I always wanted to go on cruise, but now I don't if I ever will, but I'd like to in future. I have to have my Service Dog with me, so that will be a challenge, for her bathroom breaks, but i seen vlogs of Service Dogs on cruises before and the dog seemed to do fine. ANYWAY, This was a great Disney cruise time. Felt bad for y'all and all the people that got stuck in traffic. Horrible it gets sometimes, i seen and heard, and been in on vacation trips. At home in the country, it doesn't get that bad. Anyway, glad y'all traveled safely. Praying 🙏 that all people stay safe when driving. Everyone Ve Safe and Take Care 😊❤❤❤❤

I wonder what a lyft would cost from the port to any of the WDW resorts. It's like an hour drive. So what do folks who don't live in Florida do?

Hi Trackers! Thanks for the Wish review! 😊
We have a little one, 9 months. We are thinking of taking a Disney Cruise as a whole family. It will be everyone’s first cruise. What age would you recommend the little one is before cruising?

I’m obviously not Tim or Jen, but considering the fact that they took Oliver right when he turned the minimum age for a Disney cruise (six months), I think it would be enjoyable at any age. However, I’d say that it would probably be better when they’re at least around Jackson’s age as you’d be able to take advantage of the amenities like the kids club and specific play areas and water slides that you need to be a certain height or age for.

Love watching your videos! Every now and then, I see Jen wear gold glasses and absolutely love them! If you see this comment, Jen, can you let me know what brand they are? Thanks! :)

Can you please provide some more info on the kids club. Like was there a cast member at the bottom of the slide waiting for Jackson? or did he just have to make it on his own in there lol.. Planning a cruise soon with my 5yo and I think im going to need one of those wrist bands myself so they know im nervous about my kid being in there alone lol.

I think i would have hated staying on the ship for your castaway key Day but i think it made for a more interesting video.

It’s a shame that you guys are apprehensive about going on Royal Caribbean or any other ships for that matter. I think Jackson would really love the aqua park and a lot of the activities that Royal has to offer. The Adventure Ocean’s Youth Club would be perfect for the kids. Pleaseeee try it! I’m a huge fan of your channel regardless tho.

i swear cruise ship elevators are the worst! we’ve been on disney cruise line, ncl, royal caribbean and virgin voyages and i’d say the only elevators that were slightly okay was virgin!! otherwise you wait for an elevator forever
