Do not try this at home 😂 Good effort man but so much you could have done before that one actually broke. Tip for next time. Loads of WD40 and work the threads, open, close, open, close, open, close.
Exactly! I've never snapped one I've had one super stuck in there. Took me 4 days of heating the engine and soaking in WD on the 4th day attempt it turned patience is key
Glow plugs break in 2 different ways A/ snaps hex head clean off OR B/ snaps off below thread leaving tip stuck in carbon . A / remove glow rod or drill out THEN drill out thread then refer below B/ drill out glow tube sleeve ,, tap thread ,,install slide hammer
start 7days prior penetrant lube everyday then drive till hot . Using torque spec 15nm upto 30nm tor tighten click wrench x2 to tighten then try to undo to torque spec about 10--20x . Lastly use a battery cordless set on lowest clutch slip to repeatedly hammer glow plug .
using a screw type extractor like that one can cause a thin wall thing like your glow plug to expand and tighten even more, but glad it worked out, I'm trying to remove a broken glow plug tip from mine, looks more and more like removing the head will be the only way.
Just ran into this problem myself unfortunately, mine is not as bad still going to be a nightmare. A tip I learned is to do them with the engine hot so they come out easy without risking snapping them.

Plus run the engine to warn the the glow plug threads also helps.

What is the thread size on these glow plugs?
Believe it was 8mm. Drill bit used was 7.2 or 7.8 or something like that. can’t quite remember now.
use short style screw exractor easi outs with an impact drill.
This nut you've welded to bolt remover you had alreasy stuck in - did it ever work to unscrew the whole thing with remaining part of glow plug?
No it didn’t. I just managed to get the extractor out had to drill the rest of the glow plug out.
@KBCarping I was hoping to try it but there's no point now hahaha Thank you for getting back to me. All the 👌
I feel your pain, how does it run now? I've done the same on my combo.
Hi. Yes runs really well 🙂. They only to warm the cylinder, so once warm, after few seconds/minutes will run perfectly.
@@KBCarping Thanks I'm going tackle this problem this week, just need to find a magnet. top man!
Good luck 🙂

Merhaba ters klavuz işe yaradı mı direk çıktı mı? İçinden bir daha kırıldı mı? Teşekkürler.
Did you spray the glow plug threads before removing the glow plugs.
I did but possibly not enough 😩

If people heat the engine an allow wd40 to soak you'll never snap one
I am in a same situation, one of my glow plug’s upper part broke, three are fine.
Hopefully you get it sorted ok 🤞🏻🙂
Waste of time
