Wow, what a good video, you got yourself a new subscriber! I have so much bulk sitting around that I was planning to bring a an LGS, but I'm absolutely going to use your advice. It would have never occurred to me to buy the few bulk cards I'm missing to complete a master set to then sell as a full master set.
Ive sold my bulk to hobby stores. Theres a McKays here in nashville and they gave me $175 for about 4,000 non holo bulk. However they only offer store credit but it works for me cause they have great stuff there
I just recently got back into pokemon TCG and this is fantastic advice, especially since I'm starting over from scratch after 20ish years, I can form good habits with my bulk instead of tossing everything in a pile like I did as a kid
Bro you just got me out of my bed after work to start organizing my bulk and saved me so much money! Idk why I never thought about this but thanks dude! You just earned a sub! Love the content! 🙌🔥
Thanks for this reinforcement, I've been doing this for all the vintage sets and 151 with all the exs and binder for $200 AUD, but I can see there's value now for doing all modern sets as well. Cheers
New subscriber! Great info! Definitely watched til the end and I'm going to start making a 151 common/base set and go from there. Just recently started selling some comic books on ebay and a 151 booster bundle. 151 bulk is next! Thank you for the idea and game plan. 😊😊😊
Derium's used to have really solid prices for bulk a few years ago. I traded in around 2000 cards (Ranging from commons to holos for the most part) and got around $100. It's definitely not as good as your method, but it was nice money for little effort. But their prices are way lower now, probably like a third of the price compared to when I did it about 3 years ago
@nonedarktcg Question for you friend! Do you find that you’re still able to sell bulk for older sets, or do you mostly focus on recent releases? For example, would base master sets for Paldea Evolved still sell well now 9 months after posting this video? Thanks!
Hey, found this video very helpful being pretty new to collecting. So I was wondering something when you were speaking about having holos/reverse in a master set. Would you really need every card (for example 198/198) in its basic form plus the holo as well? Or would the holo replace the basic card. Or again would it be ok to have the full basic set then a few holos? Hope this makes sense 😅.
@@BrianChristie-ll9wt you don’t need to have every variant of each card, I’ve just found it to be attractive to buyers if you do. Just label your listing accurately, and specify which cards you do/don’t have included. The less cards/variants, the cheaper the selling price
great idea 🤔 but, what is somebody doesn't need a entire set ❓or shipping and handling ❓you also need a lot of cards.where do you get that much bulk of vintage
Good comment!! You either have to commit to selling it as a master set or breaking it apart for a bunch of buyers. Shipping and handling I work into the cost but can usually ship them out for under $10. I got all my vintage bulk from people’s old binders and shoeboxes from their childhood collections. Usually buying peoples collections for a discount can give you quite a bit of old “bulk” that’s fun to sort through
So in these master bassets, that you put together, do they exclude ultra rares, full arts, regular ex and all that? just the regular commons, uncommon rares and hollow rares?
Yes, most often. The two exceptions are when I include the following: reverse holos (hardest to do) and standard ex cards. Both add value to the master set sale, but can only occur about one out of every four master base sets
i dont have much s&v bulk besides some 151. im currently sorting through swsh bulk pulling the energies, holos, rares, reverse holos. i went through about 15 thousand boxed in 3,200 count boxes. i have no idea what to do with it
That’s so many cards!!! I would just find a way to put them into piles that make sense and then determine your goal for them…selling vs. sorting and keeping vs. trading in, etc. and then think what that buyer would prefer or be enticed by!
So I’m confused. Like in 151, how far would the master set go? Would you stop at 165/165? And does that include every single reverse holo and holo? Or what does a normal master set contain?
There are tiers of master sets…a base set one would be 165/165, not including reverse holo variants. A base set reverse master set would include those. A full master set would also include all of the hits and promos, and would be worth a LOT more
@@NonedarkTCGhi. I literally just started collecting again like 2 days ago. So. I’m definitely thinking about doing this my self. But I’m still a little confused on the whole master set thing. Base set just includes 1-whatever amount there is in a set. Would that include the EXs In the base sets? Or only in the holo and reverse holo set. And I’m still confused on the reverse holo set. Is there a website I could refer to for these sets because I’m probably confusing you the way I’m writing this lol. Either way you got a new sub.
You don’t have to, but it’s certainly more enticing to a buyer to say “total base master set” vs. “95% of base master set” or “156/165 of base master set”. I’d grab the few remaining singles for cheap and then sell the total set
Most folks don't open as much of the same set as this guy. If your not cracking booster boxes your not making master sets. Just have some discipline and have a USPS priority large box and sort C/UC, R, Holo, Holo Rare, (GX, EX, V, VMax) in stacks of 100. Keep the inventory updated. Once the box is full send in the list based on set price and take store credit. This is what I do...

Wow that’s dope…I’d take that all day since $45 per thousand cards isn’t awful
Uh ohh this guy figured it out 😂

You’re welcome, happy to reinforce 😊. Good on you to already be doing this…best of luck selling stuff going forward!
This has been the most helpful this I have found on YT about bulk cards! You're a life saver!!
Thank you sooo much!!! Very nice comment and I’m so glad I could help 😊
Great advice, it totally makes sense to try and make master base sets out of your bulk! Thank you for the great video 🤘
Glad it was helpful, you bet!!!!
Dude I loved this idea! I current sort every card by set and type like you. Now all I need to do is put them in a box or a binder. Thanks for sharing
Glad I could help, thanks for the comment! Good luck putting everything together and selling!
That is such great advice. I have not sold any of my bulk but it is all in sets. And that has been my plan to do with them all.
Yeah it really works! Good luck selling them let me know how it goes
Great advice. Just had your channel pop in my stream. Very glad.
Happy to hear it!!! Thanks for the nice comment!

You’re most welcome!!! Thanks for the comment and sub, and I wish you luck in selling your bulk 151 🎉
just the idea I was looking for thanks for sharing ❤❤
Awesome video, great detail and thorough walkthrough. Have a like and follow
This is actually really solid advice. Thank you. I never thought of doing it this way.
Solid advice thanks!
You bet!
Thank you!! This is such a great valuable video!! Just subscribed!
amazing video really put me on to something for sure.
Glad I could help!!! Thank you 🙏🏼
This is the best video I have seen for bulk Pokemon ever!💯incredible! Thanks.
Wow thank you!! That’s a very nice compliment I appreciate the comment 🙏🏼
Subbed. This was a greatly detailed video. Loved it.
Thanks for the sub! Appreciate you!!!
Thanks I'm happy to hear your way of getting rid of your bulk me personally I can't sell any vintage till it spikes again 🎉😮
How long do you think until it does again?
This was great advice. I already have everything sorted and just need to make some base master sets. Curious what you do with the code cards as well.
Code cards can be sold in super large stacks, but that’s something I could use more advice on too
Great advice man 👍
Appreciate it!
I open enough ripping boosters for this to have been of great value. I master any set I begin to collect so thank you for this.
Great advice bro 😎
Crazy omg lol Kant wait to I get up there
First time running into your channel and what a GREAT video. Keep it up.
Appreciate it a lot, thank you so much 🙏🏼
The amount of care you have is admirable
Thank you, that means a lot!!!

Wow, for that price I probably would’ve done what you did. That’s better than most places! Appreciate the comment
All my bulk is mixed sets 😅

Good Video, now I'm Grandma getting ebay sets for a new little kid-I will dole out 50 at a time from the 1500 I just bought...good present for 50$.
What are your favorite boxes and dividers to use for this? I understand using the UPC or ETB boxes, but I ran out of room lol..
anybody can tell me where that giant etb box @9:40 is from?
Ultra Pro Pokémon First Partner Accessory Bundle
This is actually a really good idea you are gonna need a lot of bulk but definitely a great idea
THANKS 4 THE INFO!
No problem!

Hey so when you do your base master set of 151 with reverse holo and holo, did that include those ex cards like charizard, arbok, wigglytuff etc?
Yes it did! I like to make sure those are in there since they are a part of the 165 cards
So in these master bassets, that you put together, do they exclude ultra rares, full arts, regular ex and all that? just the regular commons, uncommon rares and hollow rares?

How many booster boxes of a set does one usually need to buy to get a base set master set?

Most card stores Woodland salt you with what they're going to give. I heard crazy things like a penny per EX 5 cents per AR And 25 cents per SAR.
So if I am missing a few cards of a base set, do I have to buy the missing ones to complete it before selling it?
You don’t have to, but it’s certainly more enticing to a buyer to say “total base master set” vs. “95% of base master set” or “156/165 of base master set”. I’d grab the few remaining singles for cheap and then sell the total set

Thank you!!!!
i sell them as pokedexes
I actually really like sorting cards :D if someone need help let me know :D
I totally agree, very therapeutic and fun
Can I pay you to sort my bulk for Me? One booster pack per hour 😄
Deal…151 packs only. Send me cards to sort.
