Very nice touch to have a picture of Justin's 180 fakie 5-0 grind at Commerce Court behind Chris. For those fortunate enough to witness skateboarding in the early to mid 90s in Toronto, this interview is an early holiday's present. I still remember the old Empire skate shop in the west end and the skatepark in Etobicoke. Bill was being super humble about his capabilities at street back then, as the dude tre flipped the Druxy's 4 stair at Queen and Bay, and still boggles my mind, as even an ollie down those 4 stairs was gnarly. Great interview, appreciated it.

The music and skateboarding dynamic has always been interesting to me. It seems very mutually beneficial. How many bands would you have never heard of without skateboarding? And how many parts wouldn’t been the same without the music? Really cool how it works

As a fellow Torontonian, I take great pride in what Weiss has accomplished throughout the 2000's, from revitalizing Blind with skaters like Morgan Smith, to TJ the destroyer, Micky Papa, Cody Mac to Sewa Kroetkov, the flatground perfectionist, manual destroyer and ledge God, and of course Romar, Nollie back three king.Just do yourself a favour and go watch bLind's video DAMN.

I thought it was really interesting when they discuss the pros versus the perceived cons of music exposure in skateboarding videos because I first heard of Ladytron by watching toy machines good and evil, and siouxsie and the banshees in foundations that's life, and naturally I went out and bought some CDs of said bands. I'm sure there were other skaters that had bought CDs of bands specifically because of watching skate videos, so the logic is definitely not foolproof on the legalities of having rights to songs.

Skateboard madness... I remember breaking both bones and ankle of my left leg. I was sobbing on the flat of the very ramp. No one knew what to do. I didn't cry. They thought I was in so much physical pain. I could barely feel it. I knew it was broken. I was crying cause I couldn't get up and take another run. I was crying cause I knew my parents would try and can skating all together. The good of skating is just so fuckin good. The bad just pales in comparison. I'm old now and the pain has become a real thing too... Anyways Weiss is so real. What a great episode. Cheers
