I like the music. It fits her. But you can really tell when people are performing it, or just going though the motions. Bross, just goes through the motions emotionlessly. :[
@TwisterFlipp95 It's called "artistic gymnastics" therefore, should represent artistic flare. I understand that girls need to show more control, but couldn't the F.I.G let the girls step to finish it off?
@willsbob123 I agree. I like the steps back out of the tumbles! I think it shows a little bit of flair. If not, it gets too technical like in the men's FX
I think it's appalling that the F.I.G are taking deductions for the gymnasts stepping out of their tumbles! It shows control if they step back, fair enough if they lunge forward, but it's terrible that the girls are being limited to easier tumbles so that they can see the floor early and land. Bross would have had 0.1 taken on the first tumble because of the landing and 0.3 on the last because of the big step, it's just so unfair.
She could have lost a lot for artistry because she doesn't sell the routine. The music is upbeat and dramatic and she robotically walks around as if she's out of breath the entire time. Artistry is what, 0.8 now? She could have lost as much as .5 because there's no fluidity to her movements.
She showed great composure to have to go early after that fall and do it so well! Kudos to her, regardless of how she finished.
If she did this routine in the AA Finals like she did it here, she would've won the All-Around World title.
she leaps well and tumbles fantastically well. but she cannot dance to save her life. sigh!
