My Dear Charming French Advisor...THANK YOU!!! Today I went out. I dressed using your overall recommendations. I took extra time, used the mirror as a tool. Imagine my surprise, I received 3 great compliments. I am 73 years old. Two ladies said that they wanted to be "just like me". I am guessing they meant when they get to such a dignified age that they dress well and carry confidence like you are teaching. A huge thank you. I am discarding worn clothes, frayed scarfs etc. etc. etc...Keeping my skin as well as I can afford and protect with sun screen. This really made my day. I have been watching your videos and they are wonderful. I adapt to my age and location (Northern CA.) Really heartfelt thanks, dressing better is truly game changing how the World sees me and reflects on how I see myself! Bonjour. Oh we did recently research ties to French royalty, so you really truly rock!!!!!!
I liked the black overalls with the jacket the most. Super elegant. I saw somewhere that in order to avoid a thick hem when rolling up a jacket sleeve, one could just push up the sleeve, put an elastic around at the preferred length, and then fold the top of the sleeve over so that it matches up with the end of the sleeve. That way it's not bulky and tight.
Hello, you don’t need elastic bands. Gentlemen’s shops sell stretch chain link bands, in pairs. Men have been using them to shorten their shirt sleeves for years and years so that their shirt cuffs didn’t drop too far below their jacket sleeves. Obviously, mainly business people who wore shirts and suits used them the most. When pulled-up jacket sleeves first became popular in the 80s (think Don Johnson), we all wanted sleeves pulled up like that. My Grandad gave me a pair of his and they worked wonderfully. I still have them because I’ve always preferred my jacket sleeves tucked.
I have a cream jacket/blazer hanging in the wardrobe still with tag (ooops, guilt trip!). I just felt it was too dressy if that makes sense. But you have inspired me to try it some different ways. Merci 😉

I like the more male oriented look with all black underneath the white jacket. I don’t know why but I think the slightly masculine effect looks sexier than a dress! I’m in the U.K. but my daughter lives in Manley, Northern Beaches, Sydney. I’ve just forwarded a few of your videos to her and she likes them very much, she is a tiny tot like you and I’m sure she will be inspired by a beautiful, classic French lady’s style
I love a washable knit blazer, the softer tailoring and more comfortable fit is great. They don’t cut the wind for really cold days, though, so I wear them mostly in the non-winter seasons and my tightly-woven ones in colder weather. A white blazer and a softer white jacket, are two of my essentials.

In my pre-menopausal 40s I gained 5” on the waist, without any weight gain, it sucks. I use to have a 10” difference between my waist and my hips/shoulders/bust (all the same), now it’s 5”. I feel like my former hourglass shape looks like a rectangle, almost. It makes it so hard to find clothes! My hips and shoulders are narrow, and I have a large bust, a very tricky figure to clothe, much less style. My solution: knits and stretchy waistbands, if any. Knit dresses are my daily wear, light viscose or cotton ones for summer, warmer long-sleeved ones for winter (I’ve never been a trouser fan, unlike most women). Frederique, I hope you will cover normal-BMI (barely), but thick-waisted women like me in your upcoming video!

Greetings from Canada. Am 74 years old and enjoy your videos immensely. Am currently on the hunt for a plain white jacket (blazer) but as we are just coming out of our 3rd pandemic lock-down mode I haven't had much chance to do so. (I prefer to try garments on.) That said; do have a white (high quality cotton/poly blend) one in my wardrobe so am settling for it right now which is very similar in design but its lapels seams are thinly piped in black however it does works with most you have shown with the exception of the shorts which I no longer wear plus I pair it with a midi length,straight cut jersey blend dress rather than a silk one. In closing do appreciate your fashion savvy and tips. Wishing you the best!
Brilliant looks for my favourite white jacket/blazer. My best look was the black jumpsuit and white jacket - simply stunning! I have a light weight white linen jacket and thin white denim jacket but in summer too hot and humid to wear. I always look better in winter!

Those leggings look great! Being a bit thicker and having the front seam helps, you could call those slim trousers, the only kind I love.
