Mexico City's Drug Trafficking Hood is not What you Think 🇲🇽

- I ventured into Mexico City's most notorious hood, Tepito (AKA Barrio Bravo)! Tepito has a reputation for crime, drugs, trafficking and fighting, but on surface level Tepito is a party!
Tepito is one of the largest tianguis (open air market) in the city, filled with hard working vendors and bars where you can get their famous micheladas. On this day I went with a local reggaeton artist who goes by "Barrio Bravo". He showed me the alter of el diablo (the devil) and the alter of Santa Muerte (saint death). This day was the anniversary of Tepito so there were many events happening where I met some local boxers and Luchadors (wrestlers).
If you are not looking for trouble you can go enjoy your time in Tepito. It still is not the safest place in Mexico but as long as you watch your back and stay safe you can have a great time here!
