    I still don’t understand how all videos in this EKG playlist are so short and yet teach me more than any other hour long video lectures on youtube❤

    Honestly, I love me some ICU Advantage videos for understanding EKG's and ALS/CC concepts, but Alila does a surprisingly good job at getting the same job done in less than half the time. If you need a basic rundown of these kinds of concepts, this will do it

    can someone explain to me the isoelectric lead method a little better than this video ? thanks

    • @helicart
      @helicart 2 года назад +3

      iso- is a word element meaning equal.
      When the up and down deflections of the QRS complex are EQUAL in amplitude (height), they are called isoelectric.
      So the isoelectric lead is the lead with equal up and down deflections in the QRS complex.
      What direction does ventricular depolarization have to flow to produce an isoelectric lead?
      It has to flow at a right angle to the isoelectic lead, or perpendicular to it.
      i.e. depolarization travels in one direction then the opposite, both along an axis perpendicular to the lead.
      Another way to consider this is if the net average depolarization travels in the direction of the lead, then there is a larger positive deflection. than negative. and vice versa.
      When both deflections are equal, the net depolarization has to be traveling neither towards or away from the lead.....but perpendicular to it.
      Once you find the isoelectric lead, then you know the depolarization axis is to the positive lead most perpendicular to the isoelectric lead.
      You have to watch the video a few times to comprehend this.

    • @reggiepalmer6157
      @reggiepalmer6157 Год назад +1

      Yeah they don't seem too worried because it's not them and they still get paid. From my years of dealing with this kind of stuff they just do not tell you if there's an issue that is imperative and life-threatening at the moment, very disgusting how medicine has back slid.
