Maybe the Bokhohn we fight in the game was not lying, he just took on the moniker and became part of the fiends. The real Bokhohn have passed on breaking the corruption.
16:50 is Dantarg's 1st form. If you meet him first time early enough he'll be in his first form. Take too long and he'll be in his second form the first time you meet him, and then he'll evolve into his 3rd form when you get him down to 0 HP the first time. You can tell by the lack of certain enemies within the East Subterrane map if he's already in his 2nd form.
@@Zombie1Boy Dantarg has 4 forms. Many have at least 2. Subier won't get swole if you don't do narwhal... just like Kawazu drew it up! Best remake ever.
I like how, in the final battle, Wagnas is on top, unlike in the original where he was at the bottom. More fitting since he's the leader of the Seven Heroes.
@@JeffCotten-g2w Not saying it's the best but I really love how monstrous they looked like in their pixel art then now Plus me mentioning wanting Wagnas the back bottom is like a nod to most of the battle formation having the emperor in the middle or at the back (from the original that is, that changes in the remake)
I believe this is not the classic difficulty. I was defeated by Dantarg raging headbutt (500+ while the highest HP on my party is 300), but I was not forced to choose new emperor. Dantarg belittled the party and left. I wonder what might happen next.
I fought Kzinsse 2nd time really, really underleveled (Classic difficulty). 54 battles, enemy level 2. Even with perfect play I still needed a heap of luck to beat him, lol. Needing to save an overdrive specifically to counter his dark mana leyline shift when he brings out his sword.... (gerard light magic only counter to it at this point), otherwise he heals 123 HP a turn which kills the fight right then and there. No good techs sparked aside from the basic ones, lol. Have to watch Bear's turn order closely so you can put damage in with him and then parry next turn... after you knock out his sword and right arm first time your basically on a DPS clock to kill him before he inevitably combo's with his mid-line swipe attack that basically killed 2/3rds of the characters and the sword and the arm. Thank god for final strike from the goblin sword. Saved my butt with only Bear and Therese left alive and Bear with his last turn before getting beat down. I mean, even if you come into the fight at the proper "level" (80ish battles fought, enemy level 3 or so) the fight still has a bit of praying to RNGesus so he doesn't take your mid-line out at the most inopportune times.
@@Zombie1Boy I reached the final emperor. The classic difficulty is far from original. Though at the start of the game it seems significantly harder, once you glimmer most techs and have access to most equipment and spells, the hard difficulty is mere jokes.
@@armnakornthab6867 I dunno, a pissed off 2nd form Noel became another DPS rush before I ran outta BP, lol. But then again F me for not bringing any water magic to counter his fire leyline healing him for like 4k HP. :/
I’m a Japanese person who played Romancing SaGa 2 during the Super Famicom era. I don’t think the Seven Heroes particularly represent the Seven Deadly Sins. However, there is an interesting story behind their names. The names of the Seven Heroes were inspired by stations on Tokyo’s Yamanote Line: ・Kujinshi → Shinjuku Station ・Dantarg → Gotanda Station ・Bokhohn → Shin-Okubo Station ・Rocbouquet → Ikebukuro Station ・Subier → Ebisu Station ・Noel → Ueno Station ・Wagnas → Shinagawa Station Additionally, the ancient character Saguzer, who you can talk to with Noel at the moving lake, got his name from “Asakusa,” an area close to Ueno.
Okay, how are your party members avoiding Soul Steal? I'm trying to beat Kzinssie without losing any party members, but he keeps one-shotting them with Soul Steal.
Ha ha, there is quite the contrast between the Final Empress, who basically solved all the loose ends and finished the seven heroes once for all, and the guy who simply married a mermaid and didn't even build something or faced a hero 😂
I think so. It always seems when they're uploading an OST on their music channel, a remake comes soon after. Now, they got a 24/7 stream going on with Romancing SaGa 3. Since they're also uploading individual tracks from Xenogears, it may be getting a remake soon.
The remake incorporates a lot more of the expanded backstory to the Seven Heroes from the manga and stage play adaptations as well as the remastered game's extra dungeon.
i defeated the final boss an hour ago and my party was around 1000 hp... surviving united attacks is not as easy as in the video haha. i think you're playing on easy. (I checked the ENEMY LEVEL and it was 16)
I haven’t played the remake, but in the original game they all have different forms depending on various circumstances, like number of heroes already defeated, to accommodate player stats and freedom.
It looks like the ones we've seen in their "Awoken" form are Bohkohn, Noel (obtained after defeating Rocbouquet first), Wagnas, Subier, and Kzinssie. Fun fact: Dantarg has multiple forms iirc, with his last form being the most elaborate and the one where he wields his lance.
Time for some time! Stamps!

It sounds so good in this remake too. I was worried it would sound lame but it has the right feel and oomph to it.
The OG will always be far more creepy because they aren't wearing clothes. And of course, the Koopaling version which scarred most of our childhoods.

I loved all the fights and even more the final boss in this cool epic Remake 🙂👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Oh wow, we have AoE heal now unlike the original, definitely makes it easier.
There was an AoE heal in the original, it just required breaking a weapon to use it so was quite limited.
ラスボス七英雄のデザインがだいぶ変わったね。
服を着てたり、最初は誰も出てない状態での登場、それぞれが生える場所とか。

She still attacks you
