When they try and pull that stuff, I show them my phone and say, wow, tey sure have come down because the sold listings on ebay have it at___________ dollars. He was probably selling the old macs for 3,000.00 dollars each. lol. Great job walking away. I would have ran. :)
people like that learn real fast their asking prices won't fly. what do they get, 10-15 max people coming to their garage sale assuming it's not part of a community sale? probably made zero sales that day.

All for less than $15. Glad you guys can recognize people trying to get over on others.

When I buy a large lot, I always look at the value of the games, if the price is not a good deal on the games alone, I'll try and put back the systems and just get the games I want or good trade bait, I find there's issues with systems all the time, especially disc based systems and unless they are so cheap I'm willing to take a chance on, I pass. I would love to take you two on a Garage sale hunt, I do very well every year. Watching you videos because garage sales are out of season in my area and getting that itch to go hunting.

You do know that people have the right to research the value of their items before they sell them don't you? None of this gaming stuff was out for sale. It was all in their house and they had not planned to sell it that day. The guy just wanted to make sure he wasn't giving away something valuable for too cheap. JRPG Life handled it well and explained why they couldn't pay as much as he was asking and gave him a good offer. No reason to bash the people for just wanting to not get screwed over by someone offering $20 for everything. I mean you heard their appraisal at the end that it was $600 worth of stuff after they bought the missing components to complete everything. The guy didn't know his pricing and started at $250 which is actually a good deal if everything would have been complete with wires, batteries, and in good working condition. Once they educated him on the issues and expenses they would have and made their counter offer he dropped his price by more than $100. I don't understand why individuals like to complain when people aren't giving away hundreds of dollars worth of stuff at dollar store prices when it wasn't even for sale at the yard sale to begin with.

After which they wanted to look online to see what the going rate was for a few of the items they hadn't intended to even sell that day. Great content folks! Another thing people need to realize is the taxes that you avoid doing cash deals like this. People who do 600 or more online will be receiving a 1099 in the mail for 2022 tax year.

Even if those Christmas decorations may not be the best buy, profit is still profit (glass half-full mentality I guess). That Crash Bandicoot Costume is super cool, would be amazing to see one of you wear it to yard sales (although with the heat I fully understand why you wouldn't. Also, a RUclipsr - Caddicarus - does Bandicoot Month every June so I found it funny when you came across that costume. It fine to hear pricing for what something may go for online, but at a yard sale it not online, you can just sit at home and pay that if you really wanted to. Not trying to bad mouth anyone but it like be a little more realistic. If it was at a certain price when you bought it, that may have been years ago and that could be what they are using as a basis, but it on them to be aware of what they have, just as much as a potential buy to do what you did and just walk away if it not right for them. The comments/points Elisa pointed out are very credible, seemed like she was going to have a meltdown - but that might just be Arizona lol. If everything works that great, but with the work that needs to go in I'm not sure what I would of offered, since yeah if it all good it works, but yeah big risk - hope it all works for you. This is just a question, do the SP's have a tendency of going the way that PSP go, with the battery that is? or it is more they just die and need to be replaced??
